Quick and easy gift idea with Old School

Are you looking for a quick and easy gift idea. Go no further than a box of the Heidi Swapp Old School collection cards and some coordinating pattern papers. Create your own custom envelopes, wrap them with a pretty bow and you are done!

Follow along with this quick step x step to create these beautiful set of cards and envelopes.

Begin with the pack of boxed cards from the Old School collection.

Choose pattern papers from the Old School 6x8 paper pad that match the cards in the pack. Trim out a rectangle to fit the fold over piece of the envelope. I never measure I just eyeball!

Lay the rectangle piece of pattern paper on the envelope and then using a ruler draw a line to follow the same angle as the side of the flap. Repeat for the other side.

Trim off the excess.

Use your scissors to cut a curved corner to  match the corner of the envelope.

Finally adhere the pattern paper to the inside flap of the envelope.

Repeat this for as many cards as you would like and then wrap them in a pretty bow and you are done!

The whole process for 20 cards took me less than 30 minutes. So Quick and easy!

You can find the Heidi Swapp Old School collection at Scrapbook.com!

Celebrating family with my Blush Memory Dex Spinner

Family and thankfulness has been on my mind lately so I wanted to celebrate  with my
Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner. I want to share my new Memory Dex cards with you.
I grabbed my Storyline Chapters paper pads and ephemera and got to work.

My first card I made by trimming that stripped pattern paper from the 6x8 Storyline Chapters paper pad. I then trimmed that pink floral from the cut apart paper also from the 6 x 8 paper pad. I added a vellum punched circle and then fussy cut the butterfly from the same paper pad.

I found this quote on the internet and added it to my card to complete it.

For my next card I started with that painty background from the 6x8 paper pad that I used one of the Memory Dex dies to cut out. I layered over another block from the  cut apart sheet. Next I used some of the pink iridescent foil and that leaf diecut I had in my stash. I cut it out of some toner paper then sent it through my Minc with some of the Pink Iridescent foil.

To complete the card I added a couple of the Storyline Chapters stickers and another family quote I typed on my typewriter.

For my final card I again used pattern paper from the Storyline Chapters 6x8 paper pad. More layers of paper, ephemera and journaling complete my card.

Don't forget you can find the Blush Memory Dex Spinner and Storyline Chapters collection at Scrapbook.com.

Heidi Swapp Minc in my December Album

Slowly I am getting my December album ready to celebrate the Holiday season.  I wanted to create a fun, bright and colourful opening page so I of course turned to my Heidi Swapp  Minc Rainbow foil, and I am sharing this fun printable too if you want to go ahead and add it into your Christmas album too!

The bright rainbow colors in the foil are the perfectly to bring some Christmas fun!

I began by finding this Christmas  quote on the net and then used my computer software to design my printable. I then used a piece of clear transparency to print out my design using my laser printer. I always ensure it is not on economy mode to get as much toner on the page as possible. I then trimmed a piece of the Rainbow Minc foil and ran it through my minc.

I trimmed the transparency to fit into my clear pocket and stapled a gold glitter star to the top.
You can find the printable HERE
I love how this is going to be the first page in my Christmas album!
Bring on the Christmas cheer!
You can find the Minc and Rainbow foil at your local JoAnn store!
