Gingerbread and Snow Angels!

Kevin and Audrey are awesome enough to have invited us over to make gingerbread houses.
We had a blast and probably ate more candy that we decorated with...
I did the front.

Garen did the back.

...and we MADE our gingerbread before we came!

Here is the lovely Fuller gingerbread home.

...with a sweet licorice chimney!

Plus it snowed the next day

and Lainee had her first play in the snow!
There wasn't a ton of snow but there was enough for her to get a kick out of it.

She wore her new snow pants and boots and made a cool little trail all over the parking lot and the grass.

She looks cold and miserable in these pictures but I promise she was laughing and running, and wouldn't even consider going inside when I asked...

"Hi Mom"

We made pretend snow angels at gymnastics so when it was time to make a real one, she knew exactly what to do!

The things that make me laugh...

...are never the things I have my camera with me for!

The lucky part is that most of the time I DO have my phone near by... and I finally figured out how to get some pictures off my phone onto the computer. Yay me!

So here are some of the candid things that made me laugh (or just smile) during those "same old" days during the last few months...

First days at gymnastics.

Stuck under a chair.

Bus Driver

...She really wants a doll stroller...

Helping clean the bathroom without being asked.
(We'll see how long that lasts.)

We went to Real Deals and came home with this bird because she wanted it soo bad and made me look like a mean mom in front of all these older ladies....

Her very first "pony tail" EVER!

Ducks!

Our little witch.

Cookie dough

We were at a hotel in Spokane and while we adults were in the bedroom chatting Lainee comes running out of the bathroom with the end of the toilet paper.

...And boy, was she proud of herself and soo excited about it.

One of the uncles put Mommy's jacket on Lainee for the ride home.

Potty training isn't so bad.

More cookie dough.

Lainee and Nora sitting on Santa's lap... haha.

A walk up to temple.

A second onesie, as a skirt??
She came out of her room with her legs through the neck hole, saying "pretty" and showing us her cute little outfit.

Tank's cage at Audrey and Kevin's. She got in all on her own and shut the door.

Our first day in the snow, she kept looking down and saying "uh oh" because there was snow on her boots.

Slumber Party (minus the slumber)

So in gymnastics, kids who are level 4 or higher are usually on a competition team. Our level 4s work out 9 hours a week and are between ages 5 and 9 years old. Each level after that works out a few more hours a week, so our level 8s go 16 hours a week!

They work their little booties off and get to be eachother's best buds, so sometimes... They get to do stuff like this.......

Lainee and I got the gym at 9pm to meet some of the crew. The party started.

Kids were swinging into the pit.

And running around like monkeys.

Lainee stayed up way too late.

They bounced off the walls.

Some needed a break from the chaos.

They painted nails and colored on themselves.

Lainee wouldn't go to bed while there was still a party going on.

There was a game of Capture the Flag.

The first kids went to sleep at 2:30 am!

They slept here,

and here,

and here,

and here.

This is Choe, she prefers to be known as "Queen of the Bed Heads"

More of them slept in here.

More partying.

...Not sure I got any sleep at all with kids running around in the dark, giggling, yelling, and with Lainee sleeping right on top of me...
But SOO much fun for the kids, and I'm glad I got to do something like this with them all because who knows how much longer I'll be living here and working here.

LOVE THESE KIDS!
