Maggie and Sam came to stay with us and do Masterpiece Arts Camp at church the first week in August. It was a great time, and it happened to be over Maggie's birthday. We had a fun birthday celebration with her! She opted to go to the drive-in, so we stocked up on snacks and headed to the Twin Drive In to watch Ice Age. Fun Night!
Lauren's birthday party with her friends was at Diamond Bowl in Independence. This is such a great bowling place for kids and a perfect place for a party. She is a great little bowler :)
Grandma Nell brought Kate and Alex up on Lauren's birthday to celebrate! Fun treat for all :) A trip to Wal-mart to pick out a present and then cake and ice cream and playing :)
Hannah won tickets to the Royals Game for the summer reading program! Yay! How exciting!
Papa A took all the cousins on the annual trip to the State Fair. It's always a great day seeing the exhibits, riding rides, spending time together, and of course eating yummy food!
Hannah's first day of school! Second Grade! Hooray! Her teacher is Ms. Katzer and she is in a combined class, so there are actually about 46 kiddos and two teachers.

Lauren at her Columbia birthday celebration! I don't think we got any pictures of the pool party, but it was at Southwest and we celebrated with cousins with August/September Birthdays, Maggie and Sam and Evan. Afterward, Lauren wanted to have a pinata, so we did this the next morning at Carla and Jon's house. She was SO excited :) Papa had given her some birthday money and she decided she wanted to spend it on a pinata.
