STAMPtember Exclusive by Newtons Nook Designs

Happy Monday!!!!  EAK! I'm am so excited to announce Newtons Nook Designs has partnered with Simon Says Stamp to bring you a STAMPtember exclusive set and matching dies. This new set is called Bushels of Love and it features a lot of Newtons furry friends.

Bushels of Love | Newtons Nook Designs | Card Created by Danielle Pandeline

The background for this card is a lot watercolor and spray mists.  I just love to play around and get all messy.  I really focused on my coloring and tried to stay within the lines!  It's really hard to do when there are dies for these images, which leave a thin white boarder.  I added some grass washi tape to ground the fox and placed some on the inside of the card and cut off a 1/4" on the top fold to let it show.  I think it adds a nice touch.

Here is a look at the whole set and you get dies for all the images.  No fussy cutting around Winston and his pumpkin. Whew!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get your paws inky.

Newtons Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #33 - Ombre

It's that time again for another Inky Paws Challenge from Newtons Nook Designs!  This time it's an Ombre challenge. Since, Shark Week is coming up and I live so close to the Shark Bite Capital of the US (New Smyrna Beach, FL).  Your welcome for a fun fact, lol.  I decided to play with the "Shark Bites" stamp set.  I picked 3 blue inks to create the Ombre effect.  When I transitioned to the next color I stamped half my shark in one color and the next for a gradient.

I then stamped the main shark on some vellum and placed him on top so you can still see the Ombre effect.  To top the card off I added some twine, washi tape and sequins.  I hope you enjoyed my card and decided to play along

Newton's Nook Designs August Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs August Release! Today, we are featuring "Tranquil Tides".  This is a fun bold stamp set, just waiting to be inked up!

Tranquil Tides | Newtons Nook Designs

I decided to go with a shaker card for this set. I stamped with Delicata Gold Ink and covered in clear embossing powder and heat set.  Then, I lightly spritz some Distress Spray down on a kraft sheet and then dabbed my background on it and did this over and over until I achieved the perfect look.  Since, the gold stamped images are embossed they resist the ink. I added my sentiment when the background was completely dry.  Here comes the fun part, gather up all your favorite sequins, I chose blues and aquas to match.  then seal the card up with acetate and foam tape.  I added two more embossed stamped images to the outside for a dimensional look.

Under the Stars | Featuring My Style Stamps | Created By Danielle Pandeline

I used her new set "Chasing Love" you can get it over in the My Style Stamps Shop here.  I used some Distress Ink to create an atmospheric cloud of stars.  I might have gone overboard with all the stars for the whole goody bag.  But, I really wanted to go with the them.. I could imagine giving this to a loved one with move in the park tickets inside and some candy to munch on....am I setting the mood yet?? lol  I also topped it all of with some MSS Sequins..check out all the colors here

Newtons Nook Designs February Release - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the February Release for Newton's Nook Designs.  I am super excited about this set. Because, I can totally relate as any cat momma would.  Introducing Naughty Newton!!!  Though I am renaming it Naughty Nash because Naughty is his middle name. I love love love this set!!!

Ok, on to the card.  I have been seeing so much foiling since CHA, I decided to dust off the old technique (yes, it's nothing new). I placed lines of sticky strip down, peeled of the backer and placed the foil down.  I gently rubbed it all over, then pulled back the foil to reveal the glowing masterpiece you see below.

Quick Tip: You can use Sticky Embossing Powder to do the same technique to stamped images.  Just stamp in versa mark, then apply the sticky embossing powder, heat, then apply foil, rub, and peel off.

Would you like to win “Naughty Newton"? This set will be given away to TWO lucky winners

Dirty Laundry?

Happy Hump Day! Today, I am here with a project for My Style Stamps. I used the Wish I was stamp set which you can get here.  I created a fun magnet set to place on your washer to designate Clean or Dirty Clothes.

I used some self sticky magnet that I got at Wal Mart in the kids craft isle. Colored up the girl on the washer and then cut out two clouds using MFT Die-namics with some patterned paper, Heidi Swapp Mists for splattering, and some thickers.

Be sure to show us your projects over at the My Style Stamps Facebook Page here

Also, be sure to shop till Thursday!!! Take 20% off the entire store with the code below.  We are making room for exciting NEW stuff!

Finally, it's COLD!!!

Happy Hump Day! Guess what?  It's finally cold for another day in Florida!! It's in the 40*'s and I'll take it!!  Which brings me to my card for My Style Stamps!  If you haven't heard of MSS be sure to check them out here.  I just love this set Snow One Like You, it is huge!!!  Which means a perfect image to color!!

I got my Peerless water colors out and colored my heart out on this card. Since the focal image is the heart of the card, I just added the sentiment on a tag with some twine and a few sequins.
