Present making!!!! been waking up early today, ok not that much earlier, just less lazing ard in bed... cos octa would come to my place to settle pictures and do the present! haha.... i must say we are pro!!!!!! finished the collage quick;ly and we're really proud of it.. it's.... damn damn nice.. ali, you better hang it up properly! and take good care of it!!!!!!!!!!!!

met the nus peeps today for some board games. heh. this is the first time i've been out with them!!!! yeah, aft two years plus plus. the last time that was nearest to an outing was put tog by glen, but only terence, glen and i went and terence left so early so it wasn't really an outing. heh. i still remember that we watched death note 2!!!!!!!!!! anw... settlers at clarke quay today! walked ard to look for the place cos we had no idea where it is!!!! heh. eh.. but we know clarke quay a teeny weeny bit better now! hahaha....

liqing is damn fast!! hahaha... she's always the first to get the stuff!! heh. i conclude that i have slow reflexes! :(

played some other games like bang and cash (which wasn't very fun. played it only cos there were guns involved! but too bad, the gun couldnt really shoot anything!) and then played another game that xiaokai taught us which was quite fun! hahah.. yishan got into a bad bad situation at the end! hahaha.. damn funny. xiaokai wanted to assasinate her, i wanted to steal from her. hahaha...

Mid Autumn Festival 2007 :)

we decided to resume our yearly MAF celebrations at khatib (cos khatib rocks).. so the engineers, mathematician and doctor (the lawyer was busy) decided to come together and join in the celebrations at octa's condo. but as usual, someone was late and we got there just in time to see the kids go back home. yeap! event had ended so we started our own play time!!!!!!! :)

xh brought lanterns but we used only one. had no chance to walk ard with it cos xh did not bring any sticks for us to carry the lanterns with!!!!!!! yes, the one who is supposed to have lots of compassion wanted to steal from kids!!!!!! ahh......... now now.. heh.

octa and the bf! hahaha... sweetness... but i didnt know that we started a little fire there?!?!?!

the three of us (with ali absent!!) we were along the path of illumination :p it's difficult lighting up all the candles cos there was wind. so we'd always get excited when there's no wind cos that means we have that little time to light all the candles and take all sorts of pictures we wanted! heh.

MID SEM BREAK IS HERE!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

time passes so quickly when we're having fun. hahaha... but really, half a sem is over so quickly. i don't even know what' i've learnt so far. but this break... not really a break. busy!! activities, appointments, dates, tuition, family...... and well, studying. hahahahhaa....

anw i was telling xinwei today, i lie without feeling any guilt or shame. hahahha.. yeah. i'm a good student. i know that. i love studying. i know that too. science library is my favourite hangout. that's definitely true! :) and yap, i dun understand why people would want to skip lectures. hai................ :p

tonight, no work is allowed to be done. i am entitled to this one night of good rest! :)

free day today! but it's not that much of a free day for me. have to do my helpsheet for the test tmr. as usual, i'm so last minute. i told myself that i should be more hardworking every sem, but it never seemed possible. oh well. that can be my trademark :p

mid term break next week. but when has the mid term break ever been a real break. it's always a time to study for tests that come after that. checked out tickets to nz. can't believe that it costs more to go to nz than to go to london!!!! wth. sad.

tuition tonight. intensive tuition these few weeks. cos exams are coming. then i'll be free from tuition until prob next year!!! :) yeap. my slack student who doesn't believe in tuition during the hols. hmmm sth like me. hahaha... but i'm worse. when exam's coming, i'll tell my tutor not to come. hahahah.....

back to continuity of complex functions, differentiability, harmonic conjugates, etc. my lecturer just told us the questions for the test. how wonderful. now everybody is expected to score full marks. hahah..

Mooncake buying time!!!!!!!!! :)

went down to raffles hotel to get the mooncakes that i love so much that i must get it every year!!!!!! :) so happy. was so excited when i found out that there is new stock today!!!!!!! went down specially to get it cos i was bored. hee. so yeap!!! dragged my mom down with me too. i'm one happy happy girl :)

opened up the box and the nice smell of freshly made mooncakes drifted up.... damn nice...

ppl who can't sleep upright in the train shouldn't sleep in the train at all. why inconvenience people when you start leaning towards him/her, esp when the train is so crowded with early morning traffic. anw yah, i almost got squashed by this guy who kept leaning towards me. he's really heavy, i have to add. and i think my left arm developed some muscles as i kept pushing him away. i found out that jabbing him works the best cos he moved away quickly, which led me to wonder if he really was sleeping. argh!

yesterday was quite an ok day, even tho i had a bad start in the mrt. lectures went fine. meeting tat for lunch, where he tried to con me!!!! he told me that he needed to rush back to pgp to settle sth and wanted to pangseh me when i was already at engine canteen waiting for him!!!! argh! but he was lying. i almost wanted to skin him when i saw him. that ass!! then i rained and i had to climb up SO MANY flights of stairs to get to the walkway to walk to central lib! and when i got up there, the rain got slightly smaller, but i refuse to go down and take the short way. ha! stupid nus has SO MANY stairs!!!!!!

anw both kk and adrian misunderstood my 2nd level of the library!!! i forgot which level it is ma (it's the 5th) so i told them it's the 2nd level of the lib, like the place you enter is the first, then go up and it's the second level lor! but no... kk went down to look for the 2nd level only to find out that it's for staff only. made me laugh like crazy! hahaha.. then adrian was a little smarter (cos he made that mistake before) and he called me. hahaha.... so yap, studied with them and tat who joined us later.... :)

kk made me quite worried abt my calculus. i seem to have forgotten all of them!!!! i think it's the over reliance on help-sheets, i don't bother to remember. anw, my brain goes through some clearance after every sem. by the end of the holidays, nth remotely mathematics remains there :p anw it's impossible to intergrate sin(x^2) wrt x!!!!!!! (glen you can try it and tell me too) kk wanted to complain to math dpt!! ass!!! but i went back to ask wenhao, yishan, xinwei, huishan, their smart smart friends, all said no!! we just stopped short of asking wong yan loi. hee.

anw this weekend is for studying. got a test on thurs! argh. save me. i really don't know what's gg on for that test. and i still have hmkS to do and tuts to rush. darn. mid term break will be time for some catching up!!!

thankful for all my friends who never fail to make me smile even on my saddest of days. be it octz, xh/octa/ali, mary/bu, hc band peeps, saf buddies... you guys rock! and to glen, thanks for staying by my side (even tho not physically) and bearing w me even through my pms-y days :) love you all!!! being pms-y makes me emo.. hahah..

and i am super restless. no focus. yet stressed at the same time. seeing the amt of work pile up. the lectures which i go for and yet have no clue abt what's gg on. that's a bad bad sign. plus ppl who keep asking what i'm gg to do aft i grad. this sucks. argh. i can't wait for end nov.

service in sg sucks. i was so pissed today. still am irritated.

went to raffles hotel, wanted to buy mooncakes. then when i went to the booth, nobody wanted to serve me even tho there weren't a lot of customers. then i approached this guy to ask abt the mooncakes, all he could answer was "i dunno" and it got me irritated already.. his attitude already sucks.. and he seemed to impatient and unwilling to serve me.. then another woman (just some older woman) came and he immediately went to her without even hearing my enquiries like wth. i may be young and may not be buying 20boxes like some ppl, but i am still a customer.

i just don't understand what's with the service sector in sg. it's so based on looks. they just serve those who look like they are gg to spend a lot, otherwise they serve the tourists. students, definitely out of their "priority list". what's with this discrimination?! we are all customers no matter what. and in the service line, it's never supposed to be a practice to judge how a person looks before serving them! ok, there is this practice in singapore. in most of the luxury shops. this is not the only time i got such treatment in shops. there are several times when i enter a shop with the intention of buying things but ended up being snubbed by the staff and turn away to buy from another shop who's willing to treat me in a more respectable manner. sg is aiming to be a service hub. if the service staff can't even treat the locals in a decent manner, how is sg gg to reach it's goal??? oh but i forgot, the staff treat tourists differently. so maybe it's still possible.

on a happier note, glen might be back earlier!!!!!!!! :) :) :) i am one happy girl! hee. BUT that means he'll be back before my exams end. sad. i'm gg to have someone gloating at me when he's back. i shouldn't have laughed at him the past 3 sems. retribution now. :(

this sem is one of the busiest sem ever, in terms of school work. the long tutorials, more homework, lots of lecture notes, lots of copying during lectures. it just sucks. it doesn't help that i'm taking five core and i'm boring myself to death. life got better with non linear but worse with ode. regression and stochastic have never looked too bright and complex has the worst workload. i hate it. thank goodness for time table clashes. almost wanted to take 6modules this sem (jap 2 qhich has a crazy workload too) argh!!!!! ok, enough complaints. i shall just accept it and try to be a good student.

6 mths and counting. my life has been so much happier since you came. thank you for everything. see you in dec.

octa: hahaha... it's not us who are perverts! we are merely wondering abt the print on your top! so yeap!!! :) :) :) and eh.. you didn't scoop from your side.. that's why it toppled!! hahaha....

ali: eh.. i really want to go for lecture. it's just that ummm ppl like to place dates on fridays. it's really not my fault. hahaha... i will go for lecture. been rather guai this sem. i mean, compared to the past 4 sems that i've been in uni. hahaha... :p

it's almost midnight. i'm still doing my work. *claps. haha.. but umm that's cos i havent been doing anything this weekend. just super restless the past week, which resulted in this pile of work to be done!!!!!!!! help. and as you can tell, i'm super distracted!!!!!!!! and it's not helping. i'll prob sleep soon. haha... this is hopeless...

tmr.. long day. with 6hrs straight of lessons plus tuition after that. i've been invited for dinner at her place again. shall not eat before tuition. otherwise i'm gg to end up with 2 rounds of dinner (it's happened so many times cos her mom always forces me to eat) yeah. 2 rounds of dinner means byebye to diet plans. yah, her mom will either sit me at the dinner table or get the maid to serve dinner into the room, which always makes me damn paiseh!!!!

RGSSB ECMs (minus ali)

anw, i was a bad student. skipped two lectures on friday cos i was SO tired. went to school with barely 5hrs of sleep. stupid 8am classes. this sem's timetable sucks. oh well.

met xh and octa in town! it's been a long time since i've met them. but they are the kind of friends whom i don't meet often yet still have plenty to say! there are just some friends whom i may meet everyday, yet have nth to say. ah well. wonderful rgssb friends! 7yrs of friendship and counting. we are getting old!!! sorry xh, no raffles winds for me, i don't think i can even play a scale on the trumpet. hahaha...

crystal jade la mian xiao long bao :) had wonderful xiao long bao. hahah.. we shared a bowl of la mian and had some other side dishes and were surprisingly full!!! :) yay! save money! it's actually quite good gg with girl friends. we share, get to eat a variety of stuff without paying a lot :)

went to coffee club to satisfy our sugar fix. muddy mud pie!! umm gone. obviously we made a mess :)

all these landed on the table. hahaha.. there was no balance of forces from all three sides which resulted in a collapsed mudpie, all in octa's direction. so you all know who's the one who didnt contribute the force required to balance it! hahaha.. my physics suck.

coffee club in kino was surprisingly empty on a friday night. i think everybody went to the one outside cos it closes later. the kino one closes rather early i think..

walk around kino to look for stationery. some things never change. since rgs days, we've been heading to popular just to look at stationery and get all sorts of markers and pens and weird stuff. it's still the same now :)

digging their huge (fairer skinned) nose!!! hahaha.. it's a sharpener actually. hahaha...

big big ears!!!!!!!!! they are actually clips!!!! hahahah.... too bad, they didnt have lips! met octa's bf and went to his place to place board games!!! :) he has a collection of interesting games!! so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) we played a dilbert game that was quite crappy, brainless actually. good for relaxing and laughing. hahahaha... no brains needed, just do what they tell you to. hahaha.. there's even a sexual harrassment card!!! which is damn funny. hahaha..

it's fun to see them again after such a long while. next meeting should be either with ali's bday or mid autumn fest. hee. hopefully no sparkler will land on a merc again :p hahaha...

ok free day today. supposed to be studying but i find myself so restless :( just not in the mood to do anything. which is bad. i can't start not doing tutorials cos that would mean a downward spiral of neglecting all my other tutorials to come.

anw nus admin sucks. so much hype over the s/u options now. but thing is, i wonder if nus will really do anything. it's a stupid decision to change it. even more stupid to change it only for the new batch. stupid school.

i need to save. but i need retail therapy too. sigh. ok, i shall pick saving over retail therapy. all money shall go into my new-phone-fund. my phone is getting really screwed up. sigh. but i still love it.

Eunice's 21st Celebration

we met for dinner at clarke quay and made our way to robertson walk cos eunice had a craving for desserts and chocolates (she rejected the chocolate buffet idea cos supposedly it's bad for her throat) but we did end up at a chocolate place :p

dinner was at an italian restaurant where we had pasta. it wasn't fantastic. just normal. no surprises, no wow factor.

dessert was at chocolate factory!!! :) heavenly place for people like me cos i enjoy chocolates (i don't know how to start my diet like that) eunice had a blackforest drink which was recommended by her friends. i had boring chocolate milkshake which was so gao, not advisable for ppl with a bad throat. hahaha...

our passion fruit soffle that was.... so-so. i didn't particularly like it so i stuck to my chocolate truffle which was damn rich. the soffle looks like any ther cupcake in this pic. hahaha..

surprisingly, we didn't take that many pictures before/during/after dinner! hahaha... had someone to take for us at the mrt station but none turned out very good. i thought we all look rather ok here, but the person's hand was blocking the flash :( which resulted in this unintended effect.

we were trying to get jm to realise the magic of make up and heels. hahaha.. it's quite funny that we have all become like this. from ppl who really don't bother, to people who start to learn a little here and there. all to look better. for me, i think gg to japan was the wake-up call cos everyone there is so dressed up. but we are still considered the more bo chap ones in sg. hahaha... we were exchanging stories abt friends who spend so much time making up, dressing up, etc. we seem so lazy in comparison :p and.. i need to learn to use the eye liner! i'm paranoid when it comes to eyeliners. bleah. hahaha....

ok i have lots of work to do now. still have regression, stochastic and non linear prog. damn.

Pammy's bday party

went there from school cos my wonderful time table says that fridays end at 8pm. but well, i skipped the 6-8pm lecture. cos i was so drained from school. 5.30am days are no joke. met jm at jurong east mrt cos she didn't dare to drive there alone. hee. traffic was madness. the usual peak hour traffic and crazy bukit timah. hahaha... relax jm.. you are just one of the many drivers on the road! :)

anw was so late. got to pammy's place only at almost 8pm. cos i couldn't get up 95, missed so many of them! and then traffic plus a missed turn (which was quickly corrected) :p but everybody was late. the party haven't started proper. saw so many hc-ians. they all look different. esp the one with the beard!!! oh my. couldn't even recognise him! i still don't know who that person is. hahaha....

pammy was busy entertaining. so we entertained ourselves sufficiently well. photo-whoring.

eunice, jm, me, kooifei, jan.. haven't seen jan since sec school i think. hahaha...

and... i was (still am) super duper happy yesterday!!!!!!! :) heard the ever familiar voice, the deep low "hello" :) yah somehow the number was not reflected on my phone, so i thought some weird stalker was calling from a public phone. oh man!! still very surprised. haha... couldn't stop smiling to myself. a short 9 min conversation makes ginny a happy girl :)

free day yest! so i went about town running errands, cutting my hair, meet up w mary, watch a movie. heh. yeap. went down to ttsh with my mom in the morn. there was some health event held there plus free health screening etc. oh well. and they had this dance item that probably got their inspiration from yoga/pilates.

so glad that my bro came to pick me from ttsh. and off to town!!! :) we both wanted to get a hair cut. so yap. told him to get a wang lihom hair cut instead of his usual ah-peh kind of look. hahaha.. yeap. but well.. let's se how he styles it without the help of stella! hahaha... i trimmed my hair. yet another, waste money kind of hair cut. then bought tickets for borne ultimatum. hahah.. even tho i didn't catch the first two parts of the series. but oh well, it doesnt really matter cos i still managed to know what's going on :) it's easy to understand lah. and it's so action packed. 1hr 50min of action. my bro joined mary and i for the movie. so amazed that he'd join us. hahaa.. sadly he didnt join us for dinner so i didnt manage to get a ride back from him :( did my brows!!!!!! so did mary. even tho supposedly her brows had some kind of problem. hahaha.. but oh well. dinner was at sakae. even tho i swore off jap food aft my trip to japan, i dun think i can manage to keep up with it since i really adore jap food. so yap, cheap jap food it is!

i'm having this terrible headache. i think my body is giving way to the horrible school hours and the serious lack of sleep and rest. the past few nights, i didn't sleep well, plagued by all sorts of weird dreams, waking up in the middle of the night cos of them. plus the stupid LT33 that's a giant freezer! it's sth like winter inside. and i didn't bring my jacket and nearly froze to death. it didnt help that it's raining outside. concluded that the colder the weather is, the colder LT33 is. sucks. being put thru lecture is bad enough. now i have to control my shivering and write properly on top of paying attn. wonderful.

had a pleasant surprise today. came in the form of a simple text but i guess that's enough to make me a teeny weeny bit warmer.

cupcakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeap! these days, i've beenbaking. it's good therapy. the baking therapy. heh. and i've been successful today. even my mom says it's nice. hahaha.. nutella swirl cupcakes. today, was too lazy to do icing cos i had to rush over to my grandma's so just make do without the icing! hahaha... it's yummy! :) i shall perfect it so that i can bake a proper thing for glen when he's back! :) hee.

shall learn to bake more stuff! eclairs coming up sometime in sept! heehee. for now, cupcakes. one baby step at a time. i'm learning :)

and i shall get to regression aft painting my nails. ruined my nails just mere minutes aft finishing them. argh. shit. tutorials are starting this week! ok, at least i've done what is neded for tmr. aft regression, i'll be done w this week's tuts. don't faint people. make sure your eyes are intact. i really did my tutorials!! hahaha.. let's see how long i can actually keep up with this! :p

wed = free day!!! yeap. wanted to go to town to get a dress that i tried yest, but i decided to save up the money and let that money got to the new-phone-fund. hahaha.. :)

yest, had 6hr break. met zahid in town! hahaha... it was so last min. i talked to him on msn at 6am and he said he'd meet me during my break. hahhaa.. didn't think he'd wake up to meet me but he did! hahaha.. aft running 3km, he almost died but stayed alive so that he could meet me in town! hahaha.... trying to stay healthy, he ate SALAD. i almost died laughing. never seen someone so tortured over eating salad. sigh. dragged him all over shopping (but i didnt get anything) and left him with "the famous xinyi" and went for more lessons in school :(

i think my time table is so screwed. hahaha.. but i planned the tuts properly. in case i want an early weekend or am already in the weekend mood, no tutorials on thurs and fri! hahaha.. ok, but i'll try my best to be a good girl this sem and go for MOST of my lessons! :)

i got all the tutorial slots i want!!!!! even though they aren't very ideal, but.... that was the best i could get...... here goes..

monday: 12noon - 6pm (no break)
tuesday: 8am - 8pm (random breaks in between)
wed: free day
thurs: 2pm - 6pm (no break)
friday: 8am - 8pm (6hr break from 10am to 4pm)

argh.. how to survive?! but oh well.. so all my tutorials are on mondays and tuesdays. that means.. i have to finish up my tutorials early :( that is if i even do them. argh. ok, this sem, i shall do my tutorials before each tutorial and not wait till mid term tests and exams to come before frantically trying to make sense out of them. hahaha.. i'll try my best lah :p
