Weekends summarised in a post

Catching up on weekends. I like low key weekends. Today was one of them.

Today
Sent her off to her bff place for the day. Hubs and I had almost the whole day to ourselves.
After dropping her, we went Orchard to shop for a while since there were no movie we could watch. I'm still on my five day exercise plan, so we came back for a nap and a run, before we picked her up at 5pm. Had one of my favourite meal at Newton with samba stingray, samba kang kong, satay and bbq chicken wings. Ended the night early when she went to bed at 7:30pm.

Yesterday
Her school had half day, so we brought her to National Gallery's kids festival. It was fun for her and free for everyone, she really enjoyed it, so we'll definitely be back before it ends.

A few weekends ago
A car we made her.
Library is one of our favourite hangouts since we can hangout there with air con.
And there's a really good, non crowded, quiet cafe in the library. We can be there for hours.
Had a pancake weekend at Slappy Cake. Found one at Grandstand that doesn't involve us driving into Sentosa.
One of my new favourite dress from Temt that made my wallet happy.
Her going nowhere, but pretending to go somewhere.
Uncle Ringo for one of the nights.
I wanted the tigger below, but he got me the lousy shark above which made her happy.
That summarises our past few weekends!

Next weekend we'll be heading to Langkawi! Tomorrow we'll be heading to Legoland with her bff. And shockingly, we accidentally got our June 2019 holiday booked too, talking about planning ahead, I'm so excited already!

Legoland

Last Sunday we went Legoland! Its been a while since we went because our annual pass ended and it was good taking a break. But now we're back with the annual pass, we shld go more often!

The causeway was nice and smooth, maybe cause we went early and it was the second link.
The thing I like about Legoland was it is really empty, so we can take the same ride again and again until she gets really bored on it. It was drizzling when we got there, so we went a few rounds on this train as much as she liked.

She likes this fireman station, not so much for him. It was tiring physical work.

Unexpectedly, there were sets on sale for half price! It was the first time we seen such huge discounts. We ended up with 3 sets back.
It was really a physically challenging day where they say 'you need energy when you have kids'. We reached home at 4:30pm, and she wanted to go for a swim. Off we went, since we didn't had much to do anyway. She came back and played with her play doh, while hubs mopped the floor and I ironed our week's worth of clothes. It did felt like we've accomplished a lot within a day.

Irritating guy

There's this guy in office whom I really hate. Yesterday he asked 'Any summer plans?'

My response was 'What summer plans?'

'You know... June being summer, going anywhere for summer?'

I wasn't nice 'I live in Singapore, summer is all year round. I don't make plans specifically cause its summer elsewhere.'

The other longest place I live in is Perth where summer is December.

These people are really trying hard to be someone else, maybe some cool angmo where summer means something isn't it. Which normal Singaporean would ask a question 'what you doing this summer'

It doesn't help that he has some oily hair and oily face. I guess thats why he's always alone, with almost no one to lunch with. I'm glad I no longer have to eat with him. irritating person.

Seoul - Day 4

Last day! We're on the red eye flight again, so actually we do have a long day ahead. Expanded our luggage and an additional duffel bag, it is a shopping trip after all.
Having actually had porridge for brunch at a famous porridge place near our hotel. It was really good, after which we continued to have Issac Toast.

Went to Iwah University since it was listed as one of the places of interest. I'm biased, but I still think UWA is nicer.

 Coffee Break
Before we decided to have early dinner at 4pm and have our last real korea bbq in Korea.

And we headed to the airport for our flight.
This samsonite luggage has been with us since 2007. It has been sent on repair once, and this time, we're too lazy to do it (the lock broke). It has served its last trip with us and is gone.
It was a nice 4 days trip!

Seoul - Day 3

The past two days was really drizzling weather. So this was the first day the sun came out, and I finally get to wear the sunnies I've brought along which I thought was really picture worthy. Right outside our hotel.
Breakfast at Paris Baguette which we regretted, only nice thing was the cup.
Not much pictures today. It was pasar malam shopping all the way. We came across this street filled with kids clothings, it was soooo good to shop.

This was may best purchase, Emma's dress for my brother's wedding next year. And of cause I bought a lot of random rubbish.
Macs for lunch.
Beef and salmon burger and Sakura ice cream.
Back to hotel to drop our things and we're back to Myeondong. Went to the famous Nandastyle.

Back to our favourite korean bbq!
Lobster cheese!

Seoul - Day 2

Plenty of food choices around our hotel.

Did the only sightseeing, which is to visit an old korean village.

Accidentally came across a famous restaurant on the way.
Ramyeong turns out to be really good.

It was nice to plonk tourist information peeps standing at strategic places. We did ask them for directions and what to do. But isn't it tiring or waste of resources to just stand there?

We spent half a day there and the other half shopping!

A street filled with kids toys at really really cheap prices.
Ah... a really good korean bbq near our hotel at the busy Myeondong street, that we ended up eating for the next 3 consecutive dinners. Each meal was reasonably priced at less than SGD 50 and was jinja good.
Continued shopping after dinner which tried to kill me after every meal.
