Day 3 - Milan to Venice

Since we had jet lag, we headed to Duomo early in the morning.

It was so nice to have no one in your picture! Only downside is, the sun is not up yet.

 The famous mall.
And we went for breakfast nearby to defrost our fingers.
Went back, check out and headed to the train station for our ride from Milan to Venice!

It was such a nightmare for our first train experience. We had so much luggages that out of the 5 seats we had, we gave up 2 seats just to stack our luggages together. Thank goodness this was the only seat I've bought that's economy class, the rest of the train trips were business class and it was so much better with luggage storage.
The had the cabin restaurant which I really liked, so out of the 2 seats we sacrificed for luggages, we sat at the restaurant for the entire trip.
Where we had our lunch onboard.

Where we took the water bus for the first time.
Checked into hotel and walked to San Marco Square.

These alleys reminded me so much of Santorini.

San Marco Square which was mountain people mountain sea again.

Gelato. Every. Day.
Always nice to be able to find chinese food at the end of the day.

Day 2 - Bergamo

We had a early morning entrance ticket for The Last Supper. Honestly, we aren't arty farty people, it seems like one of the must-do. Luckily entrance ticket was EUR 7.50 each and we didn't take the guided tour.
An audio guide was good enough.
 The Last Supper.

And another painting in that room. We were only allowed 15 mins in that room, which was honestly more than enough, since we can't appreciate any of them.

 After which, we had breakfast.

And we went on a day trip out of Milan to Bergamo!

I must say I really like this town, I really like medieval towns.

All the small alleys were really nice to walk through.
We had lunch at a pizza joint which serves humongous pizzas, but was a nightmare to buy and collect. It was just chaotic.

We also visited a church which has really intricate interior, but was tiring to look at. Everything was mostly on the ceiling.

And we took a funicular ride back down!
It was a scary first experience train ride. We were expecting automatic doors, by the time we realised it was manual, it was kinda late and Emma stroller got stuck in between the doors and my dad was not on the train yet. We're still alive!

Grocery shopping!

Dinner was at the same chinese restaurant as it was right smack down our hotel.
Nothing beats chinese hot soup in the cold winter weather.
A little intro to our spare room which we use to store things.

 And our sleeping bedroom.
