Long long weekend

The weekend when we had the whole morning to ourselves, with the full intention to do some cafe hopping. We went Merci Marcel for brunch after watching Fly Me to the Moon.

Guilty mum, so I got her a Rainbow Dash.
The food was not bad, but I guess the lunch crowd was just no-no.

We headed off to a nearby bakery wanting to chill. But they had non-existence internet connection and didn't had wifi. That was when we concluded, home is the best place. And we headed home to our comfy home.
Yesterday we surprised her by borrowing someone else kid, and she was so happy!

It was a great day ended at a new dessert place in Nex.
Matching pjs looks so cute on her.
Or maybe its just me being biased.

Snippets of 2017

2017 was nothing short of amazing. Sometimes when I think about it, it might be the best year of my life! Till 2018 that is.

January: Chinese New Year
 February
March: We went for the best holiday of our lives!
 April: Emma turns five.
 May: We celebrated Mother's day.
June: We celebrated Daddy's birthday in Perth, Tiamo no less.
July: A pretty back view picture of me on a gbike.
August: We manage to have a few picnics by the beach.
September: Another new place ticked off - Hokkaido
October: She had her first pet, they have all RIP-ed.
November: We made our first trip to Hong Kong without Daddy
December: Rounding the year off with my new favourite.
Now bring it on 2018!

Christmas Day grill!

Its been a really good week. Office is quiet, so I've been coming home at about 2-ish pm everyday, and just work from home last Friday and this Friday. Felt really good spending so much time to myself. Actually I spend the entire week doing the finishing touches to my 2017 photobook so its all ready to be printed out come 1 Dec 2018! And I'm busy setting up my 2018 and my Italy book.

Xmas day! Wanted to try something new, bought a home griller. Suppose to do it on the dining table, but we though it might be more oil friendly to do it at the balcony.
We grilled bacon sausage, and some wagyu beef.
Might consider doing it again, just so that I can further depreciate the grill.

I wanted to buy a $5 brush, but he suggested a $2 version will do.
We could have all dropped dead on 26 December. Pleased to say, we survived the melting brush ordeal!

Christmas Eve

Christmas eve!

We went to mailed two letters to her friends.
We took many pictures at Crumpler because.
Daddy couldn't decide whether to buy his bag.

Daddy bought his bag. And we're banning ourselves at home, because we spent so much this weekend.
We don't celebrate Xmas. But mummy loves cakes. Especially DJ Bakery Blackforest log cake that costs only $28. Market research says this is the cheapest and most worth it and pretties log cake.

A picture to make it more worth it. But forgot to light the candle.
 One more please with candle.
And we sang Jingle Bells before blowing it out.

Winter Wonderland

That's us. Our 182912th attempt to visit Winter Wonderland. It was always raining. Even on the day we tried to go, hubs said. Lets just go. It was pouring along the way.
But he's right. The rain stopped. Sometimes he can be right.

Only sometimes.
The place was still packed. How did they know the rain will stop??!?!?!

It was nice. I liked the place. We would come again next year, except, can the rides be cheaper?

We let her play a game, because, mummy wants to play the fishing game too.
And we won Ellie the elephant!

Puteri Habour

We haven't been home the entire weekend. We were gone for two days over the causeway. We set off at 10-abouts, filled our tummy and were well prepared for the jam.

She slept the whole way through. There was no jam. We were there way ahead of schedule. I couldn't even finish one episode of my korean drama.
Ah, Somerset. Felt familiar, yet not so. It was just for SGD 80 a night.

We spent almost the rest of the day in the apartment.

We went to the nearby mall, which I think I'm slowly growing to like it.
And we ended our day with her dry swimming backstroke.
Next day bright and early.
Breakfast was sad. This felt like a Citadines than Somerset. Its nasi leak, but there was no chicken wings. I need my wings. At least, she was happy with her plain porridge.
 And off we went.
Mummy I'm so excited I can't sleep, she says for many nights.
I've got enough of this spinning tea cup, I felt like puking. This was her favourite at Disneyland, and we took three rounds at one sitting. Giddy I am. I took one, daddy took two.

 We did some craft.
 Took more rides.

She loves giddy rides. She went thrice, at one sitting.

This is the first time we took all the rides at least once. Such a sport.

We made cookies when there wasn't a queue.
 And took more photos.

It was actually fun, and the best part was the entire compound was air conditioned. We only left at 4-ish, and she was knocked out the moment she was strapped to the car seat.

Definitely will be back!
