Random ramblings weekend

We love spending time at home, this weekend was one of the weekends we don't feel like going out. Hubs likes to put it, we spend so much money here, better to stay home.

I love this new section. The shelves are new, I love the cloud shelves. I like how the white goes well with our grey walls. Smile is new from our recent trip. Enjoy the little things in life was from last year's London trip. The lighthouse figurine is from Perth, the windmill figurine is from the recent trip.
I like to have little things scattered all around our house to remind ourselves of our happy times overseas!

Emma super happy over one of her present, its a nail polish vanity set.
Another birthday gift, a tea party set from uncle paul.
Peppa train set
Yesterday we went to pick up a present from Buangkok, we went to our old playground. She has zero memory of the place, somewhere she spend every weekend at for the first 3 years.

At night we went Vivo for dinner, we hadn't come this place for ages. Went Max Bruners for dessert and I took this picture. Notice how the girl behind was playing with her phone, and Emma was playing with her toy. I hope this never change, we need to make effort to not use the phone around her.
Speaking of priorities, making our daughter happy is top priority. How did this happen?
We ordered two desserts!! The parents wanted it, daddy wanted lava cake, mummy wanted waffles, whos the happiest? The calories were definitely worth it!! I was telling hubs, our dessert costs 4 times our dinner (we ate at foodcourt), we definitely got our priorities right in life.

I'm so free to blog now
This is why.

Emma's 4!

For a while we knew we wanted to hold her celebration at home, just a small one. We had a big one when she turns one, we invited friends and relatives over, most of them she don't know. It was really just for the parents aka us. This time we contemplated holding it at her favourite indoor playground inviting all of her classmates, but she didn't want, she only want Skyler kor kor. So we held it at home!
She was really happy with the background set up.
The first celebration was with hubs family, we brought her to pick her own present at Metro and obviously picked peppa.
Her first cake was from Bangawang Solo.
At Imperial Peking Duck
Saturday night she was so excited about her Sunday party she only slept at 12am.
Sunday morning the balloons came! I love it, its sooo pretty that it all gathered at the corridor, and I also ordered a huge Peppa bouquet. The children who came had so much fun with them.
And Emma can't stop running through them.
Frozen crashing Peppa's party.

She was really happy and had so much fun that day!

We started at 11am, ended at 4-ish? She was in this mode shortly.
We didn't had much guests, probably about 10, there were a few kids and they were all contained mostly in Emma's room, if not all over the house which was fine, and we didn't had to take turns assigning people to watch over them! We'll probably do this again next year, so much fun for us!

She took her nap at 5 and woke up at 9, couldn't get to sleep, she took her leftover walking pets (we gave them out as door gifts) for a walk.
Update status on the animals. Bobo killed them as of just now.
The third and final celebration was in school, she was looking forward to this as well!

We picked her up early and she wanted to go to her favourite pretend playground (where we initially wanted to hold a party here).

And we end her 4th birthday with a blast! Small blast. Till she's 5!

On other note, I've been a mum for 4 years!

Fire station visit

The school organised an excusion last Saturday to the fire station. It would be much more fun if the weather is more forgiving, it was just scorching.

End of the trip I asked her whether she liked the fire station visit. She says she likes Frozen, and want to be princess anna and want to take a photo with princess anna (the boys were trying the uniforms, getting in the trucks etc).

I guess this will probably be our last visit?

Hug yourself!

Last Saturday I visited the dentist with Ems and hubs tagged along to wait for me. Ems asked whether I'm scared, I said 'a little'. Then she said, 'You can hug yourself, it will make you feel better.' Then it was a sudden lightbulb moment when she said that. Everytime she would be in a stomache position when she was lying on the dentist chair, shes hugging herself!

Yesterday I asked her to give me a hugging yourself position. Take 1:

Day 5 - Belgium to Wieringerwaard

The terrible weather we had on Day 5, the only saving grace was we spent a lot of time on the road travelling and not sightseeing.
I love the countryside, I've rented our next airbnb at the countryside.
As you can see, by the time we reach our house in Wieringerwaard, it was almost 4pm. There wasn't much we can do for the day. We went to Schagen as the only thing that will be opened was supermarkets.

The steep stairs which Emma hates.

It was a 3 storey house, but to save Emma some pain, we slept at the 2nd floor.

The best part of the entire house which I love - bathroom. It has heated tiles! Heated tiles must be the next best invention for winter after the heater!

Day 4: Ghent

We visited another Belgium city, Ghent. It was similar to Bruge, old, which actually I really liked.

It was raining a few days when we were there, the only good thing was it didn't pour and were just light drizzle. But it was really really cold!

We visited a castle!

Our dear Emma hated the castle because it has super duper steep staircase which was all over Netherlands (in all our apartments), she couldn't really come down herself.
View of Ghent from the castle.

My happy tourist taking her own photos.
And we end our Ghent tour, also Belgium, tomorrow we will be heading back to Netherlands. Back at the hotel, we do what I love most - Room Service!!
