Long weekend!

It was a really well rested long weekend considering our entire small family of three fell sick. We ended on Sunday with teochew porridge.

As Ems said, 'porridge will make us all feel better.'

Erhem, we did cheat on our porridge after that, and had a slice of lychee cake.

But our weekend was super well rested at home.

Rewinding back to Friday, we had friends over, the kids were entertained while adults watched movie.

Then we played and played and played until the weekend was gone. *PHEWESH*

Fight of the bed

She was crying because she chased us both down our king size bed and declared that its hers. She wants to sleep in that, and both of us will sleep in her single size bed.

Peranakan Museum

Last weekend we were jio-ed to visit the Peranakan Museum. Its free and we are free, so why not! There were some kids activity, the only reason we were there. That place was kinda boring for me.

They had colouring for kids, which you can make it to a eye mask.

And the visit ended off with a kids guided tour of the musuem, which Ems wasn't quite interested and keep wandering off.

It was an uber tiring day for all of us.

House in a House

This weekday nights has been really fulfilling, that means Emma's been rather occupied that we haven't on the tv.

I bought this house last year online, and we finally got it fixed!

Shes busy having picnics in it, with us all including the two fat adults squeezing in it.

Ipad/iphone Parenting Boasting

This is a parenting boasting post. 

Yesterday we had a proud parent moment in the car. Emma requested to watch lion dance on the iphone. I agreed without much resistance, afterall the last time she watched a video on my phone was probably weeks ago. The lion dance video was probably 10 mins long and was recorded over CNY when it was at my cousin in law place.

I handed her the iphone and told her 'A while only ok'.

About one minute later, she returned me my phone automatically, 'ok mummy, a while already.'

*CHANG* Proud mummy moment. 

Just for my own record, in case she turns all iphone/ipad crazy in future, at least I have something to look back to. She's turning 4 next month, the last time she's used an ipad was probably over a year ago, or maybe more. She watches lion dance video on my iphone (the only one we record from CNY), but thats about the only thing she watches. She does have a cartoon life, just that its all on tv. Her current obsession is peppa pig. I hope that dies down soon, I'm getting tired of that already. 

Bobo

Yesterday we had a night off, and we went too watch a movie! I quite like such shows from this era/times.

Early Sunday morning, picked up Emma and went to catch another movie with her favourite friend!

In other news, last IT show we got Bobo.

Its been on my mind for the longest time to get Bobo, but because of the price tag I didn't think it was worth it, I rather use magic mop to wipe everyday. We went IT show and saw the price and I think my mind went somewhere else, I went on 'impulse' mode and got it in a minute. When we reach home, before we even got to try it, I knew I regretted it. What was I thinking!!!???!!!! So expensive!!!???!! But obviously was too late. Yesterday night we tried using it, I was trying to forget the price tag and trying to fall in love with it as much as possible, as quickly as possible. 

But yes, it was an impulse purchase definitely.

Photoshoot 2016

We did a family shoot on Saturday morning (and we got the shoots today! talking bout efficiency!) Emma wasn't in her best corperative self, which should serve as a timely reminder on why we're not doing this as often as we would like to. But we do need someone to help us take family shoots so that it doesn't look like we're from single family.
