Co-sleep

It started off with us being not a believer of co-sleeping pre-emma. Post emma we managed to keep her in her own cot in her own room for about 8 months till she got ill, and she started to move to our bed (mostly cause of our laziness). We fell in love with co-sleeping, it just feels so good waking up to her smell hugging her to sleep. Both of us fell in love with co-sleeping. She grew bigger, stronger and longer.

When we moved, we knew its time to kick her out of our bed permanently. It was a now or never moment. We were prepared for resistance and all. But to our surprised, it took us nothing.
Since the first day we moved over, she's been happily sleeping on her own matteress. Even on days when we asked her to sleep with us, she ends up sleeping on her own matteress. I miss her so much, a few times a week, I'll move down and squeeze with her on her single bed.

It'll be a while till the next move to her own room because she actually sleep walks which truly scares us. We are in no rush for that anyway, I still love her close by.
Very close by.

Typical weekday night

On a typical night after we reach home from my mum's, hubs and myself will take turns to bath while Emma starts her night play.

In no order, she'll paint,
draw, usually she'll practice writing her alphabets at this time too since we are on the writing table.
She'll cook, and we have to order our food.
She'll go to her room and play with her toys.
She'll usually do all of the above and that happens from 7pm till about 9pm and we'll start offing the lights for bed. We've given up going out on weekday nights as we want to stick to her routine of sleeping by 9. On fridays, we'll head to the nearby cafes for some ice cream or desserts though.

I like this routine, short but filled with things to do.

Too Social

Social media is bad influence so I say.

I bought this to try out a style I've been seeing on social media, finally find a pair thats not expensive.

Chinese New Year 2015

Chinese New Year is kinda over for me, never mind that it has 15 days. No public holiday, no count.

Day 1

I grew to love CNY more after we had Emma, kids made a lot of difference for visitations and gatherings.

Woke up bright and early at 7am to prepare, because we had to head out by 8am.
Went to my mum's, my grandma and my aunt.

And we are just about done at my mum's side by 10am and we head off to hub's mum.

After that we stayed at hub's mum for the rest of the afternoon, Emma had soo much fun playing with uncle whom she only see once a year, which was such a surprise. She doesn't mix well with strangers but this year is so much different seeing her enjoying their company.
We then had dinner at Whisk and Paddle, which was surprisingly empty on day 1.

Day 2

We had our uni friends over and Emma had so much fun with her favourite kor kor.
And we spent the rest of the noon till dinner at a relative's place. Though she didn't look happy, but she had a lot of fun with the aplenty of toys!

Day 3

It was a boring day. We had to work, and I wore my LB CNY dress for the 2nd time. Last year I totally forgot this outfit, luckily I rememebered its exisitence this time.

Day 6 - more visitation at relative's place

Day 7

Vday
Note to self on fat thighs pose
It was vday but also CNY, and CNY takes precedence over vday of cause. We went for annual lion dance at a cousin's place which basically mark the end of my CNY feeling.

This marks the end of our family's cny for 2015. Can't wait for the next one already!!

About watches

M: Your old princess watch is spoilt, I'll get you a new one, what do you want?

E: I want a frozen watch. (pause) And a peppa pig one.

M: No, you can only pick one. But I have two hands.

除夕夜

Off for reunion dinner #3 and #4. She is very very happy and waiting for cny for a long time!
While waiting for people to come to my parent's place.

Dinner at #4 was a super spread!

Emma is at an age where she really can play very well with her cousins and this year they really had a lot of fun. Emma was played till really late and was soo happy! Something which was very different from the past years where she barely interact much with them at all.

Its the start only, but its gona be over sooo soon...

Cny eve's eve

My favourite pictures on my screen saver now! Not sure why I didn't set it earlier, but oh wells!

I kinda love it that my hubs takes really nice pictures sometimes! Of coz both pictures are now on our wall in the living room to replace the old ones which has been there for the past 7/8 yrs in our Seng Kang house.

This morning hubs has to do some stuff, so its just us. We headed off to the playground but didn't manage to last long there because the slides where all wet.
We went to the cafe to get Emma's favourite lunch - croissant. While waiting for them to pack the take away, she almost finish the entire lychee cake by herself.
It was indeed super delicious!!

Reunion dinner #2

Yesterday night we had our 2nd reunion dinner! This is my all time favourite dinner!! Emma having a magnum before dinner and many many bah kwas.

The annual feast!
My favourite home made soup *slurp*
