Movie Marathon~

Yesterday Emma had a staycation at her grandma's and off we went for our movie!

To fully utilize our night off we caught two movies back to back! Which was not that bad, except the second movie almost killed us.

We caught Taken first, it was good! I really liked it! As good as the 1st two Takens.

Then we rushed to the opposite hall to catch the next movie right after. Into The Woods. OMG!! Its as terrible as it can get. The last time we felt like getting out of a theatre was The Simpsons, this is just as bad. Terrible terrible show. No other words can describe. Not sure how the writer can come up with this. But terrible is the only word.

School runs

She was out of school last thursday and friday, cause the school is having this whole new wave of HFMD. Monday we actually decided to let her back, but she was down with fever. We kept her out again on Monday and Tuesday.

Wednesday she bounced right up for school! (cheat: this was actually taken today thursday.)

Shes all bouncy in the mornings for school. I guess keeping her out makes her miss school more, Saturday and Monday she was asking for school.

(Her new Frozen bag probably play a huge part in her wanting to go school.)

Super glue

I'm not sure whether we are at the peak of stickiness. I can barely leave her sight, its all 'mummy push the stroller' 'mummy make milk'.

I just left the bedside about to go toilet 'mummy where are you going?'

But its all good, we are all still alive.

On a random note, I love her ponytail! Original state since womb days!

Accomodation

We've settled all our London accomodation!! One of the favourite part of a trip - planning. I actually love researching and reading through reviews and photos, finding out more on each place, where to go blah blah.

For London, we are staying in Millenium Mayfair, and the best part. FOR FREE!!! Most of the nights, two out of three nights will be free. We applied for credit card, and they gave free nights upon application, and it happened to be a really good location in London! So yeah, we only had to pay for one night!

In Windsor, we'll be staying in Legoland for two nights while we visit Harry Porter Studio, Legoland and Windsor castle.

The rest of the five nights we will be staying in a village called Stow-on-Wold. And we've settled for this cottage.

We had to settle for a two bedder, cause thats almost the minimum number of rooms for most cottages. Even though its gona only be three of us. We kinda prefer this cause there is a kitchen and more space for Emma to run around. And it has very very good reviews! I rely heavily on reviews for such.

Now, down to the detailed planning. CAN'T WAIT FOR MARCH!!

Movie Marathon

Life has been pretty good with a toddler I must say. Just under a month, we've catched up with three movies!! Feels like we are back to our pre-baby days again!

Two weeks ago we caught Exodus. It wasn't what I thought it was. I was expecting 300, Spatan kinda show.

Today we caught this. Sad that Robbie William's dead.

The other day there was an advert on tv, and Emma asked whether she can watch Big Hero. So while we were at the theatre just now, we bought tix for 3 of us tomorrow.

2015 looks soo good already!!

Phineas and Ferb

For some weird reason Emma loves Phineas and Ferb.
It wasn't even playing on Disney Jr, it was on Disney kids for older children. There was this day we were playing on demand for her and she saw this picture advert by the side panel and asked if she could watch. I let her since I didn't think she'll enjoy it. I feel its the kids version of South Park with all the lame jokes and a lot of talking. The rest was history, somehow she loves it. I'm not sure how much she understood them talking. When she was watching Madagascar, we knew she understood when she made comments like 'lion is hungry cannot find food', it kinda stump us that she understood.

*digress

Two nights ago she wanted milk at 8pm. I told her no, its too early. Mummy will make for you at 8:30pm. Surprisingly she said ok. At 8:23, she turned to me and 'mummy milk?'

I said, 'Its 8:23 now, 7 more minutes and mummy will go make ok?'
(actually its daddy go make)

She surprised us and said ok! And made no fuss at all!

Anyway back to Phineas and Ferb. Actually I'm done with that. We let her watch cartoon on tv, cause we thought thats the lesser of two evils between that and ipad. She does zero ipad, outside or at home which we hope to keep it this way. Only when we are out travel where theres no tv, then we'll let her do ipad. Other than that, we've got zero intention of starting her on ipads hopefully anytime soon.

Growing up and out

As I was finishing my 2014 photo album (which was a great success anyway! No procrastination at all! First day of 2015 and I'm done with 2014!!!), these two photos caught my attention:

Taken January:
Taken December:
She's grown all so tall already!! And obviously very much horizontally, people around us have been reminding us constantly.

London 2015 planning

Starting 2015 with am explosion of posts, just because I feel like doing so. And cause I've got so much to catch up on.

So we are progressing well with my planning for our London trip. Initially I thought Legoland was closed, it is still going to be close on our planned visiting days. Then I realised they are closed every Tuesday and Wednesday, so we shifted our plans a bit, and Legoland Windsor is happening!!!

We will be staying two nights in the pirate room, Emma current favourite too, all thanks to Jake and Captain Hook on Disney Junior.

We will be spending 5 nights in Cotswold, an English village, and there happen to be a deer farm!!! We can do some hand feeding!! Can't wait already!!

Can March come already!!??!!

Happy 2015!

Apart from taking half a day off work on NYE, we did something very meaningful. Shopping at GIANT and Courts.

We bought a travel size rice cooker!! Now we can cook not only porridge, we can do macaroni soups, and others for Emma when we travel! And since its a rice cooker, it has a thermostat function, so we can leave it to cook in the day, and return at night with dinner all ready! Its really small and cute, looking very much like a play toy actually.

And we bought a mini steamboat, just nice for a family of 3! The one we had was redeemed 7 yrs ago when we just moved and wanted anything free. Its huge, to feed party of 10. Hopefully this wouldn't be a white elephant. We are using it TONIGHT!

We bought mini things, which is in line with our downsizing plan considering we are downsizing our place as well.

Hubs woke up in the morning to cook, sunny side's for me, scrambled for him.

We did some hand painting.

And we did a family hand print! Which I might frame it up, after adding a date to it.

Daddy can cook, so can you!

Emma's current favourite:

Macaroni with carrots and broccoli cooked with chicken stock soup base (done from scratch, not instant)

2014

I wasn't in time to do this post yesterday cause the whole family slept at 9pm and obviously past new year. WE WERE REALLY TIRED!! (Actually just me and Ems, hubs slept at 2am)

We started off 2014 with Ems just a little bub and I cut her fringe for the first time in her life, which was very fun!! But after that my mum made sure she has her hands on her fringe first so that she can cut it nicer than me.

In March we went for a French Riviera trip which was prettily fun!! But still didn't manage to top off our Greece trip. Greece still holds champion!

Emma continue to grow and grow. Mostly horizontally.

I changed my job, which up till now I thought was a great decision, taking it with a leap of faith. I get to go home at 5:45pm, instead of 6pm!! Thats just the tip of the iceberg.

Because of the job change, we get to go Krabi!

Two weeks into my new job, we went Perth!!

The greatest achievement for 2014 I guess is a huge improvement in Emma's immunity!! For the past 3 months, almost going on 4, Emma has been going to school daily without skipping a day! She had a day or two with a cough, but it recovered the next day!!! (Hope I'm not jinxing this)

2015 Emma will be *gulp* 3 years old. We've past the two years safely *phew*.

Bring it on 2015!!!
