So, I left my job of 7 years. Searching for a job was just a motion, it didn't felt real because, its not real. I was so comfy in my previous job, that I was falling asleep.
I accepted the offer - It was pure joy.
Tendering - Super scary. The uncertainty was SUPER SCARY! Especially when I was already in comfort zone.
Last day - Pure sadness. Leaving the fun people I've know over the years.
Starting afresh - Not as scary as I thought. It reminded me, actually there's lots of friendly kind souls around.
1 month - I'm actually happy! Work has become so interesting suddenly! I never thought of this but, I'm looking forward to work everyday! Everything is new to me and so much to learn! And I've made some friends at work, so everything is fun again!!
Now, I just hope everything works out for a while. Its still early to tell isn't it.

Perth 2014: Day 5
The down side with this trip is, the skies were gloomy almost everyday, and it rained almost everyday. (according to the weather report, it will stop raining when we fly back Singapore!)
So, regardless of rain, we just had to visit the boat shed for the sake of taking some memories back with us. Isn't that what all trips are about? Creating memories. My personal excuse for travelling. My personal excuse for returning to Perth so many times. My personal excuse for bringing Emma everywhere we go even though she might not remember a single thing and some like to call it a waste of money. We prefer to call it memories.
Yes, even when the skies are grey. Oh wells.
She obviously wasn't in a I-want-to-take-picture mood. So our memories for this is - Moody. And the last shot, it was terrible. Its the best we have out of all the photos with me in a awkward pose.
She just want to sit on the stroller and talk to Princess Anna and Queen Elsa. They were almost drowned in the above photo taking process.
Also, the other must do-thing is to visit the school! We never get bored. The feeling of being back. Its so weird. A nice kind of weird, but I'm glad we can do this so 'often'.
Having a kid, means we have a loaf of bread everywhere we go. Which in this case is good news! Cause we can feed the ducks!!! Uber pleased!
Of cause constantly reminding her not to feed herself more than she feed the ducks.
Daddy's taking picture, so I must take picture too.
Perth 2014: Day 3
We've been to Aussie so many times and for very long, we've never really went/interested in touching kangaroos or koala bears. Well, welcome to Parenthood. I went to check out where we can actually touch and feed one, and viola! We arrived at a wildlife park!
And the sight of lazy roos greeted us!
Emma's typically scared of dogs, cats, most furry animals. So we were pleasantly surprised she wanted to feed and touch the roos!
After the kangaroos, we went on to see the wombats.
It actually was just one wombat sleeping on someone's lap and were we taking turns molesting its thighs while it slept its day away.
There was a farm show, to show how to sheer a sheep
It does looks brutal.
And their wool feels wet and slimy and weird!
There was a bunch of other animals, but I was totally not interested in it.
It was actually raining almost the whole day. But the good thing bout Perth's rain it, it never rain more than 10 mins. So we just waited out for the rain to stop, and went from one place to another.
Last but not least, koalas
We were told to touch the koalas with the back of our palms. Till now, Emma remembers it, so if you touch her with the back of your palm, she'll reply *with a mini-surprised* reaction, 'Emma's not a koala bear!' Super funny I tell you!
And lastly we let her choose a kangaroo souvenir and left with it. (which I don't know where she threw it too, but its definitely somewhere in the house.)

Perth 2014: Day 2
It was Sunday, so naturally our destination was Fremantle!
(So, I underestimated the weather, its September isn't it.. I remember doing a quick glance at the weather and thought, hey 18 degs, shorts and t-shirt should be fine for us. So, I've packed for the adults all shorts! Of cause its a different packing mentality when it comes to Ems, warm clothing all the way. Turns out, we were freezing our butts off the entire trip.)
Went to the exact same cafe where we had our breakfast last year.
Some time ago, we were reading this book on different kind of faces, so this is her Angry Face. And this is hub's happy food face!
I've always liked Freo, its so nice and warmly and cosy. But, there's always nothing for me to buy.
There's this fairy shop tucked in a corner on one of the streets of Freo that sells the cutest stuff!! But none of which is practical, that I'm willing to sink my money in.
Emma requested for me to put this on for her, and looking extremely pleased with herself thereafter.
And, we came out of the shop empty handed, but slightly happy.
And we spent the rest of the day, shopping around Claremont and city.
We have this weird liking for Aussie cai fan. Its nothing fanciful, quite the same as Singapore's cai fan, but it has its own unique taste in it. We missed it so much, that we have that for at least one meal a day.
When I was schooling, I remember complaining that their sweet and sour pork is crap. But now, its the thing that I miss most. Aussie sweet and sour pork.
