Freepass weekend!

Oh.. Long weekend.. You've been missed..

We made a pact with Emma that we'll cook her a delicious meal, she'll stay over at Ah Ma's

So we kept to our end of the promise and we get a free night pass!!

We took this Emma-less freepass and went The Cajun Kings

We checked and made sure we ordered their signatures. But were quite disappointed, so, we're probably not coming back in the near future.

After that unsatisfying expensive meal, we had to resort to this
So that we don't go hungry watching The Sound of Music!!
The next morning we promised Emma an outing to make up for the freepass and we had a meet up with kids-frens at Botanical!
And thats how we spend our weekend, how's yours!

Krabi here we come!

Yesterday I was showing hubs on the accomodation I intend to book for our upcoming Krabi trip. Since its replacing our original Maldives, I've decided to go for something not too bad so that I'll feel more balanced.
While hubs was seeing, Emma peep over, 'Where is Emma going?'

That surprises me, shes became such a vocal kid recently, speaking full sentences at times.

We're going Krabi!!

What a FRUITful Weekend!

So, some of us might have known of this juice diet, which literally costs A BOMB! I was introduced by my friend to do a home made version. Its nice, the taste, and everything. But the mess *PHEW* was too much I can bear. It was a lot of fruit cutting which aches my arms, I had oranges, apples, beet root, watermelon (added last minute), celery.

I started off with oranges, cause I was suppose to blend it, so I've got no idea how to remove the skin without removing all the juice out of it. It went quite alright in the end. The apples and celeries were easy. The beetroot was FREAKING HARD! I had a cheap blender, not those expensive kind, so I had to make sure everything was super small piece so that it doesn't kill my blade and my blender.

Then I went on blending, after blending apples, oranges, beet root and celery, the 'Thing' felt like a lump of slimy thing. Not sure its even drinkable, because it was like porridge? I think I need to bite it, or eat with with a spoon. Then I had water melon in my fridge!! So I added water melon, and TA DAAAA!!
The end product was not bad! But the mess it caused, considering mine is a simple equipment. I probably wouldn't consider getting a more up market blender which traps all the nutrients yada yada, because I can imagine the trouble dismantling the equipment for washing etc.

I've replaced yesterday's dinner, today's lunch, and tonight's dinner with this. Sadly the trouble can only last me for 3 meals. And with my irritating husband trying to make me cheat on my juice, I'm not sure whether this can be a success. At all.

Moving on to happier things - Emma! And not so happy run this morning.

She woke up bright and chirpy on Sunday morning for our run! And even requested to tie her hair like mummy!

But she was all moody and grumble thereafter.
Wanting mummy to carry ONLY.
Making our run this weekend --> A Failure

To make things right again, she had her playground run!
And she was all happy again!

This morning she was home carrying her bag for no reason. I find it ultra cute the way she carries it!! She slings the haversack it across her arm! Thats how Daddy carries it, so I guess she probably thinks thats the right way of carrying it!

Next Sunday we're giving this run a break, and letting Emma have her indoor playground time! Hurray for Emma!

Bitten by the travel bug

Over the past 10 yrs, we've been caught on the travelling bug, trying to conquer the world. Most places, we try not to return for the 2nd time, because, there's so many places to visit, why return for seconds?

Except for Perth, not only we've returned for seconds, we're returning for 10th and foresee to go back even more as long as we're not divorced.
Santorini. Its so pretty, how not to be back for seconds? We missed it already!! But not so soon I guess. The next time we'll plan along other islands as well!
Japan. Honestly, last week we were planning a weekend trip for Japan. The last time we went was in 2009, which was a long time ago! We like the food, the atmosphere, the culture, the people, the shopping, we did spend 3 weeks there after all. So we mostly just want to be surround by that. Fly there on Thursday red eye flight, and be back by Sunday, sans baby. Do-able? Undecided yet.
Next year, fresh on our list!

London for our slightly longer trip!
And Maldives for our not-so-long trip!
Hope Emma will be as excited as we are!! And yes, next year we're skipping Perth!

And now, back to deciding, should we do our weekend Tokyo trip??

Midweek!

Quite pleased with this piece that I bought from taobao. And I got the exact same piece in black from a SG blogshop for three times the price of taobao's, obviously this was before I realise it was on taobao!

Selfie Stick

Just the other day I was telling hubs, I've got great foresight in the future. The selfie stick just got popular recently, but we've been using it since 2010.

Just another weekend~

Woho!

This weekend has been super productive! I've:

- Backup my photos on my phone. The last time I did this was 2 months back, I make it a point to do it at least monthly.

- Sent the French Riviera photo book for printing, and converted it to ebook. *Phew*

- Updated Emma's 2014 photo book up till July! I've stopped doing it since April, so over Saturday and Sunday I've caught up on 3 months worth of photos! *Pat on back*

- Transferred my bonus $ to a more interest bearing account. (Procrastinated for..... 4 months!)

Its a stay home weekend, mainly to heel her sore kneecap. The centre portion has been peeling off hence still quite sore, this was on Friday.
Its much better today, but we're keeping her home tomorrow so that she doesn't get more accidents and end up infecting it.

Since we're home, I took this out for her. Something we got when I was pregnant, and I probably didn't know much what I was buying. I took this out before, but she wasn't that interested. Today was SOO much different!

She love it so much, she didn't want to take her afternoon nap. Today is another day I appreciate my 130 sqm house, without it, it would not have fitted this humongous toy.

Same Same

But Different Different

The first

Fall
Last Saturday she had a fall at the carpark (super rough uneven floor) while walking to grandma's house. She wasn't even running, it was just a toddler's fall, plus bad shoes I guess. It was a pair of cheapo (but cute) minnie shoes which I have banished after this fall. We should have done it earlier.

Shes been crying like a banshee refusing baths. And we guess she fell again in school because today the wound look raw.

Lets hope it gets better, the wounds. And the baths.
