Day 12: Horse Year

This year, I'm thankful to have Emma with us.
She gave Chinese New Year a whole new meaning for us. Its so much fun with her around. As much as I hate people asking when is #2 coming along, I can still get along well with CNY.

Soon, CNY will just be behind us quietly. Till then, I'll just slowly take them all IN.

And today's new yr eve!! My favourite day of the entire year!! This gota be something to be happy about!

Day 8: Travels

Yesterday I was looking for our US itinerary book to lend my collegue
After the trip I filled the book with our hotel receipts, sight seeing tickets, theme park passes. Looking through it, it was one of our best long trips.

So yesterday Im happy that I have found my life travel companion! It makes travelling so much fun and easy (Don't have to ask who n who whether they are free on this dates, whether they want to go this and that place).

Now... just waiting for our Nice trip!

Day 7: My Little Introvet

Theres much to be happy bout today!

We attended our 2nd reunion, one of the best each year. The host prepares the BEST soup (I realise we've gota be wary of what we post, the next minute I might be stomp. So no pictures of this. All I can say is, my love for fins is too deep to part), THICK slabs of abalone, and... Oh no more ands. Thats all for my dinner.

Ems all ready for CNY!

Squeezing the most out of her cheong sum, this is the second time she wore this. Last Sunday for reunion #1, she wore this too. I'm washing this up, so that she can wear for Tuesday celebration in school.

Playing with her cousin, whos just two months younger.

Now, part of me is secretly glad with part of her character thats more obvious nowadays. I think she's quite shy, even more shy than what I expect.

Shes not just the typical stranger-you-can't-carry-me kind of shy. Shes much more. She sees someone she doesn't know, she'll dig her head and makes sure her whole face is hidden, but still kpo enough to want to take a few peeks at the side.

This morning, we were at the playground and theres just this one other kid. Thats it, she wouldn't want to go near the playground. A moment after the kid left, she then slowly move near the playground.

I might not like this character if hers in future, but for now, i find it cute and demure in a way, thats how a little girl should look like. Also, glad that she didn't want to play because some kids are really rough, that I get heart attack just seeing Emma standing too close to them.

Day 6: Last weekend before CNY!

So, I've started on the 100 happy days challenge.

Its mainly to:

People successfully completing the challenge claimed to:
- Start noticing what makes them happy every day;
- Be in a better mood every day;
- Realize how lucky they are to have the life they have;
- Become more optimistic;
- Fall in love during the challenge.

Day 6:

We started our day bright and early, able to squeeze in a morning shopping trip to Zara (this is rare in these days considering its pretty much a challenge and chore shopping with Emma, so we've cut down on shopping trips tremendously). Manged to run several errands before 1pm!! Now we're all set for CNY!!!! Wopiess~~

Hong Kong Disneyland

A long overdue post. The only highlight of the trip I guess was Disneyland Hong Kong. Hubs and I are great big fans of theme parks. From Japan, to Anaheim, we're just waiting for Emma to be old enough so we can bring her (or rather more for ourselves) to Orlando for DisneyWorld!
Considering the weather we had for that entire trip was not so good, we couldn't have asked for a better weather on Disneyland Day. It was sunny throughout, so at least we could feel our fingers and toes.
Emmilicious doesn't really look that excited.
This was the start of the day, where hubs was queuing to take a picture with Mickey, we went into A SHOP. Look at the minnie she is holding on to? That wasn't her first choice, she wanted this:
Managed to get that humongous Mickey off her mind and get a smaller one instead, its going to be difficult if she were to lug a life size one around!

We left our stroller at home, and got one of theirs. Thats her napping in it.
Honestly, Disneyland is really the best place on Earth (and because of the fact that I couldn't afford most things in Chanel, if not, maybe thats the best place).
We had fun watching the parades, Emma was really dancing with it.

I would love to think that she enjoyed the shows as well, she didn't move a single inch over the three shows that we watched!
Photo taking

Playing around in shops!
Ah! Can't wait for the next Disneyland already! WOhoO~~

2013 Asset Enhancement Initiative

I'm quite pleased that one of our long procrastinated projects has been completed. Since we moved it, we bought this piece of furniture call Mountain (we didn't give it, this is really its name).

Kinda blur, but its the one behind.
We threw that during our minor asset enhancement in September. Mainly cause we were bored of it, it was afterall a decorative piece of furniture. And I'm happy to say that after months of procrastination, replacement has been 90% complete.
10% were not complete because if you look really closely, two frames has no glass 'cover'. I broke it, minutes after I opened it. haha. This weekend we'll go get the replacement and hopefully I wouldn't break it again.

A closer look, I got this from Modcloth (after it arrived I realise its from Umbra, one of my favourite brands, and we saw this at Hong Kong one of our favourite household/furniture shop as well. oh wells). This is definitely one of my favourite frames by far.
All from Ikea
From Hong Kong trip in 2012, from the furniture shop I mentioned above, also from Umbra. They've got the nicest home decor!
This is my current favourite wall!

Day 4: Friday

Whats not to be happy about Friday?

Day 3: Birthday favour bag

So, I've placed orders for Emma's school birthday favour bags. One thing at a time. I'm keeping it simple this time, so the bag will be simple as well. Her birthday celebration will be a few days after we return from Nice, so I guess its never too early to do it slow now. Next will be to wait for the bags and fill it up!!

Day 2: Pilates

I'm starting Pilates class today!

Something that my company organise so its cheap - $8 per session, plus I didn't had to sign for 1/2 years, its just for 10 sessions. The down side, its in my other office location, by distance its near, but theres no bus/mrt near to get there, so i guess I'll just cab my way there, and hopefully I can catch one at 6pm.

The other happy thing, I get to use my yoga mat that I bought two yrs ago when I started prenatal yoga (I didn't get to use it cause the place provides a mat which I didn't know).

Tonight is the only night this week I'm feeling slightly awake.

The only night this week I slept after Ems *gulp*.

The only night this week I slept after 10pm.

Actually, I'm tired already.

Sunday's almost over

She obviously doesn't know it.

Parenting side effects

The other side effect of parenting - it gets your body clock all screwed up. We woke up at 6am for a jog in the park. She was all hyper at 6am, the parents just looks like zombies. What exactly are they made up of!!??!! So much energy to spare for such a small body.

By 10am, I was EXHAUSTED! Ems for some reason wasn't even tired after the park and playground visits. I was dozing off on the sofa. After her lunch, she went for a nap, initially I was planning to nap with her. But miraculously, once she fell asleep, I was soo awake!! Another wonder of parenting, this happens evey single time.

Splendid Saturday~

So hubs came back yesterday night! Just to spend the night though, he left early this am at 5, so its just me and Ems. She woke up slightly later than usual, so I let her be, and we went for breakfast at 9am!

She saw me with a pouch, so she ask for her bag too.

Since there was nothing much we could do after breakfast, of cause we head to the playground!

Then I found this! Minnie headband! I couldn't remember whether I bought it from Japan or Anaheim Disneyland though (after effect of giving birth - memory loss).

I attempted to take both of them facing forward, but obviously Emma isn't feeling it, totally ignoring all of my requests.

Eventually, she got bored with me, and went on to prepare for lunch.

Shes a super pro at this, multi-tasking, while one pot was at a stove, she went on to prepare the next dish, utilising both stove at the same time!

Maybe she'll grow up to be a chef!! Or hopefully open a restaurant or cafe, then my 3 meals will be all settled!

Ok, if not chef also can, we can just eat out.

And it was lunch time.

Lucky for her, she had an easy time feeding the smurfs and Minnie, a stark difference to what happened 30 minutes after when it was her own lunch time.
