Sickly Sunday

Baby Emma had a fever this morning followimg her vaccination yesterday. *BOohoo* She was all cranky since 6am, her fever's all gone by 9am. So we spent the rest of Sunday resting, for mummy and baby. Yesterday night I was suddenly plagued with a horrible flu, and I can't take mc for obvious reason (I was gone for 5 months and mc on first day!!), so I had an early night, drowning myself with vitamin C.

Other stuff. Our blurb albums are here!! This time I was smart enough to use discount coupons, so there was a 20% off!

Our Hawaii album, typical coconut trees representing Hawaii:

Its injection day!

Baby Emma went for her routine injection today. She had 2 jabs at her butt, one of which she dint cry at all, the other one she did cry for a while. Today at 4 months and 6 days old, she weigh 6.9kg, which is 50 percentile (50 percentile is average, 95 would be very overweight, and 3 would be very underweight). She is 65cm tall (or long), which is at 90 percentile.

They had a very confusing chart in the health booklet, and the clinic assistant tried to smoke me, so I asked the peadatrician, and apparently, the chart in e booklet is wrong.

Now we just cross our fingers and hope she doesnt get her fever.

Morning smiles!

Every morning I wake up, I'll be greeted by this widest smiley dotti of ours

I'll sooooo miss this.

Flipped!

Yesterday, at 4 months and 4 days old, baby Emma did her first flip by herself!! I went to the toilet and left her on the floor on the matteress, when I was out, VIOLA! She flipped! The good thing is, she can lift her head quite high up, so we are not so worried that she might suffocate face flat. But one of her hand is stuck underneath her body. Hope she'll figure out to untangle herself out of that soon.

Free diaper bag!

I'm normally not a big fan of freebies that comes with magazines, they normally gives pouches, scarves, small totes etc. But this month's Mother & Baby freebie is a diaper bag!!! Those small ones which really only to put pieces of diaper, and not those big ones where you also call them diaper bag but you normally put other stuff such as milk supplies, spare clothes, wet tissue etc.

Its red, which is one of my favourite colour other than pink. (I just bought a red dress from Zara over the weekend). Its pokka dot, which is also my favourite design. So one of the rare times, I'll be using this!

Happy 4mths baby!

Emma is 4 months today!

Sadly, she can't flip yet. She's really lazy, everytime we put her to the side, she'll land straight right back to her butt.

Shes been able to sit up with support since 2 mths ago, which was really tiring for us, cause she doesnt want to lie on her back since there. The thing is, she has to sit with someone supporting her, cause her back is still very wobbly. She is super fussy about sitting, you can't jus stack some pillows behind and let her lie 45 degrees against it, she'll be irritated (which will lead to screaming and crying). She has to be upright 90 degrees, which i think isnt that friendly for her back, since its not strong yet, it also means someone has to be with her all the time shes awake (that gives you very little time for toilet breaks). Oh, thats a long paragraph on sitting.

She's been able to sleep through most nights for a while now (i think since she was 2 mths old), cross our fingers and hope this continues.

Though I've hated breastfeeding, and have been saying I wana stop, surprisingly Ive been doing it till now. But i'm cutting down tremendously, now only pumping twice a day, hoping to do it only at 7am and 7pm so I dont have to pump at work.

Thats about it for us. As she crosses the 4mth mark, we are preparing her for weaning stage. Now we're all prepared!

Just waiting for her to be ready!

Happy National Day!

Hub's bro booked a room at Mandarin Oriental, the view was magnificent!!!

Thats the view!! We were just 1 floor away from the highest! (This is probably one of the few or maybe only time we'll have such close proximity with NDP, it did costs an arm and a leg. Or maybe just a LV bag.) But the view was rerally damn good!! Enjoying it in the comfort of air con while watching everyone below carrying a brolly.

The fireworks view was even better!! It was super close!!! Right in front of us!!!

And yay! Mr LKY is still alive! All the rumour mongers. Happy National Day!

Cheap thrills

I'm a big fan of cheap thrills, especially freebies. Last Sunday we went for Drypers Diapers swap! We brought 2 empty diaper bag of which is non dryper brand and swap for 2 full pack (44 pieces each pack!!) of Drypers diapers!!

Diapers are expensive, so yes I'm very happy!! The happiest part was it wasnt even a long wait! We were in and out of the queue in bout 15 mins! But we hung around United Square waiting for Twelve Cupcakes to open so we can be fat and have cupcakes for a week.

Hilton Hawaiian Village

Hilton Hawaiian Village, the best hotel we've ever stayed so far. We've never been to club med, but I presume it would be like that, jus that here you've gota pay for what you want.
Its like their own little village inside. I think this is why they call itself a Village and not a Hotel.

With their own shopping areas, own LVs, own restaurants, own ABC stores. ABC stores are a big thing there, tourists actually requests to stay near ABC stores.
They've got their own beaches. Its empty, cause its erm.. 5am? Hubs wanted to take a picture of sunrise. And noticed how smooth the beaches are, cause there are actually people/machines leveling the beaches every morning! Its a totally different scene at 5pm.
They've got their own lagoon pools..
And many swimming pools.. I've tried their slides.. not very exciting though. The good thing about having it all in the hotel, we don't have to bring our own towels. We were given towel cards each and we can get fresh towel in most areas. How convenient!
They've got their own port, thats where we board the ship to the submarine out in the deeper waters.

They've got a mini bird family there, some African penguins.

And others miscellaneous hanging around

A convenient Starbucks before we head for the beach
There were a few towers around, of cause, such hotel of such facilities comes with a price, and we had to stay the cheapest.
But we got upgraded!! We had the tower that was right smack next to the beach!!! Which was good, cause we dont have to be wet and walk through a long way to get to our room.. (the original tower I booked for was at some ulu end of the village next to a public road)
The room was fantastic as well.
This was one of the best part of the trip I guess.
Part of the hotel, taken when we were on our way out to the submarine.

Best hotel so far ever!

Ebi burger

Sobs. This is my third time writing about my beloved ebi burger from Japan Macs. So I'm not quite in the mood to write about it anymore. There,
ebi burger meal from Narita Airport Macs.

Lousy android app

The problem with android phones are they lousy apps. Cause they don't have a official app for blogspot, I'm using a third party app. I've been trying to upload a post since yesterday, and that was my 2nd time writing the same post. hais.

Falling in love again

My friend once said, having a kid is like falling in love all over again. I couldn't agree more.

I love holding her in my arms and watch her fall asleep (hubs love this too, while I take the day shifts, he gets to coax her for bedtime). I love just watching her sleep, I can do that for a long time, look at her sleep, sometimes she smiles, recently shes been chuckling in her sleep a lot. I love it when she drinks her milk, we'll jus stare at each other, eyeball to eyeball (Emma will stare at hubs, but hubs will stare at the tv. haha).

Shes very adorable you know. Have you met her yet?

Hawaii - Tiki's Grill and Bar

One of the nights we had our dinner at one of the quite famous dining place Tiki's Grill and Bar

By famous, it meant expensive too. Cause of the huge portion in the states, most meals we just shared a main. Oh, before main, they had the MOST DELICIOUS BREAD that comes before our food, along with the MOST DELICOUS BANANA BUTTER!!! Yes, banana butter sounds weird, but it taste really amazing. Anyways, back to the mains, I think we had seafood risotto

Which was really good as well. A salad which tasted normal

And the dessert tasted normal as well.

Now thinking back, we could just go back and eat their bread till we are full. haha.

=(

When she is not happy, you will definately know it.
