More books!
As you know, yesterday I bought 2 books from ELC. This morning I spent some reading time with her. For 30 minutes, we were reading the 2 books that I've bought. 30 minutes is A LONG TIME to read 2 books that only has 4 pages each. Each page has no more than 10 words. So, I can memorise the books already. But for 30 mins, she seems interested in the pictures, each time I flip the pages, I can see her eyeballs move from pages to pages, hopefully looking at the colourful pages.
So I've decided to buy more colourful books!
I chose this cause its a flap book. Previously one of the books I got were flap book as well, and hopefully it would interest Emma as she progress.
I got this for 1 reason - cheap. 3 bucks nia. lol
This is more for myself. I like Elmo, so... hoping to influence her..
With Emma around, going out shopping is not that easy. Anyway online prices are not much different. I got all of the above from a UK online bookstore and has free delivery! All of the above for $20 SGD! So, till they arrive, I'm stuck with the 2 books that I've got it all in my head.

Books
As Emma is growing into the stage where she can kinda see us, and hopefully starting to recognise who is daddy and mummy, I've decided that she needs some books of her own. So I went to ELC and bought her 2 books for a start!

Both of the books don't have much words to begin with for obvious reasons, they can't read, and no point tiring out the parents when they don't really understand. They are very colourful and pop out books as they are now able to differentiate and see colours. And most importantly, bite-proof, saliva-proof, they are board books. I guess since now she loves her delicious fists so much, it wouldn't be long before she start putting everything into her mouth.
Off to a good start! Hopefully!

The Avengers.. finally
Having a new baby means almost no time for movies. We used to watch every new movie that comes on the theatres. But now so far we have yet to catch any in the local cinema. On our trip to Hawaii we had to watch something!!! And so we watched The Avengers:

I thought we were probably the last beings on earth to catch that, seeing that its been screen for quite a while. But we were wrong! The theatre was almost full!
We were too tired the rest of the trip, if not I would love to catch Madagascar 3 as well.

Happy baby~
We've got a happy baby in da house!!!

It is an accomplishment for me to take those pictures. She did just started smiling only recently, and also smiling on our que. Taking clear pictures of her also gets challenging as she is CONSTANTLY moving except when shes sleeping. Most pictures would turn our blur.
So have a happy Tuesday!!

孤君做战
Today I'm manning the baby fort by myself, so we have to bath Emma before hubs leave for work which was at 7am. Afterwhich Emma stayed in our bed and hubs was entertaining her till she fell asleep. Think this is the longest she ever slept in our bed, so I build a pillow/bolster fortress around her.

Hm.. Her tummy is not as big as its seen in the picture though..

Fusspot
She's a mega fusspot today. She's been awake since 7am, and only willing to take her nap at 1:30pm, woke up fussing again at 2:30pm. Now I got phobia of moving her out of her rocker (cause i dont tink its very good for her back to sleep in it).

But hack it. I shall just leave her there.

Pearl Habour
Pearl Habour again another over-rated attraction.
The same story, of how the Americans were sleeping early Sunday morning, and the Japanese surprise attack them.
There was nothing much there, except for a memorial, and 'tombstones' built over it.
Built over ships that were sunk.
On board the memorial looking down to whatever's visible from the sunken ship.
For history like this, Greece was much better and more interesting (a thousand times).

Screamer
One of the days we did some sea activities, one of which was parasailing (which was FANTASTIC!!!!) and I will leave it for another post. We did a boat ride call Screamer.
Its suppose to be some boat ride with stunts while at sea. While waiting... And while hubs queued...
And finally we board the boat.
At the end of the ride, we were soaked. Quite disappointing ride, we kinda expected more from it. But it din't turn out to be as adrenaline rushing.
And so we ended our day at the Ala Moana Beach where we started our day as well.
Till next post on parasailing~~~~~
Byodo-In
Still sifting through the heaps of photos for our Hawaii trip, so I'll be blogging selectively on things that I enjoyed on the trip. Byodo-In.
One Japanese temple that we went while on our only road trip.It was really pretty. The temple was set against the hills and clouds that makes it really nice. In fact I think its prettier than the ones we see in Japan cause of the back setting.

Botanical Gardens
Yesterday morning we went for a jog, this time at a different place!

We went Botanical Gardens while hubs went to run errands (and aso he has decided to stay fat and neckless). Botanical Gardens was great!! Much better than running round my estate. There were no traffic lights that I need stop for, no crowded bus stops that I need to stop again and no bright morning sun. Botanical Gardens has all the trees that comes with the shades, views of different walks of people and dogs!!!! It was a dog galore! Anyways we should go there more often!

But for the time being, my calves hurts.
And how cute is my baby~~~

When shes sleeping only.....
She needs more hair. Like MOREE. Shes quite bald now.

That tub...
I did my run this am and I felt good about it. Then I had fishball noodle soup for lunch, which is good for me and my diet as well. But all is gone when I decided that I will finish a tub of durians that my mum brought.
*slurp*
I'm so full now, I'm taking a nap.

Run mummy run~~~
'Mummy brought me for her morning jog this morning again!'

As much as I would like to jog everyday to shed off the remaining 3kg to my pre-pregnancy weight, I can't really do that. Because there needs to be a auspicious time and day to be able to bring baby Emma along. She needs to be just fed so that she doesnt cry halfway along the run, which means she has to wake up for her feed at 7-8am, if not the run's off, cause anything after that the sun's too hot, I've got enought sunburnt at Hawaii. Its too hot for Emma as well.
TGIF!! Hm.. not much of a difference for me though..

New toy in town~
One of our great buys from a toy sale from Early Learning Centre, she's been pretty entertained by it. Its one of her first few 'toy' as well.

Its actually jus a wooden plank with colourful bees and beatle hanging down from it, the I would play some baby music from my ipad

You'll be surprised how much they charge for this. Toys are so expensive.

Bags~
Haven't had time to blog about our Hawaii trip. I'll do a quick summary, it was quite disappointing as compared to other US states that we've been too. Their sightseeing weren't as good (Pearl Habour is overrated), shopping was on a small scale (the premium outlet was one of the smaller ones as compared to other cities), the beach was alright (you can get the same in Australia, I havent been to Bali or Phuket, but you probably can get the same there). I'll leave the rest for another post, lifes busy with a 2 months baby on hand, suddenly, she jus decided to stop sleeping that much.
I've been a great fan of Coach in premium outlets, its so much cheaper, but the one in Waikele Premium Outlet was in a much smaller scale, so sadly there weren't much range to choose from. But I still manage to get stuff:
I got a bigger version, I super like this range cause of the shape of the bag and the short handles. Last year I regretted not getting the bigger one, which I still regret now, cause I would have much prefered a leather one, but there werent much choices available at this outlet.

I got back the same small one in a different design, cause the one I got last year was dirty.

I quite like this style as well, but there weren't much colour choices for me to pick from, so I got a basic black. They only had the big one, I would have gotten the small one as well if they had it at the outlet.

Sad to say, as the outlet wasnt that big, they dint had Kate Spade, but luckily there was summer sale going on in the entire city!!!! The shops were going on sale as well! I got myself a sling Scout! I dint get it last year cause it wasnt on sale and I thought it was too much to pay for Kate Spade. Now its going for half its price!

Thats about it, there were more things I would have wanted to buy, like wristlets, pouches blah blah, but they really dint had much to start with, so I ended up with none of those.
The rest of the trip at another post.

Japan
Currently waiting at Narita Airport to transit to Honolulu. We reached Japan at 9am and had a planned 12 hour transit in Tokyo, which ended up quite tiring. We took a 5 mins train ride on the Keisei line to Narita suburb and took a 15 mins bus to the nearby mall, Aeon Mall. The mall had more to offer than what we've expected, so end up we were freaking tired by early noon and headed back to the airport to rest. We bought some wall decor back, and many other miscellaneous items, which was enough as this was suppose to be a Hawaii trip and not a Japan trip.

Our initial intention was to walk around Narita suburb and visit the temple, but after the mall we've decided to call it a day.

The tiredness reminded us of our Japan trip a few yrs back which was body breaking.
Now Honolulu here we come!!
Side track, do you know ANA has a baggage limit of 46kg per person??!!??
