boring. tink i can no longer study in the library. i was there today, cause i din't had the latest edition of the audit textbook, so had to go there to work on my tutorial. after that i din't feel the mood to study there.. so came back and listen to ilecture from my room.

i jus did a silly ting. arg. i emailed MOM.. ministry of manpower. i shall not reveal the contents of it. of which simin said it did sounded like a jc student emailing them.. haha.. =X

my brother deleted his old blog. he says he's working on a new one now. how flicker minded can kids be. his so called old one is only less than one month!

my prospective company called me at 10:30am. tink working ppl don't realise how late can students sleep till. and i'm still in my dreams.. and she sort of shocked me, cause wasn't expecting them to call. then gotta pretend i like very awake. haha.. lame..

anyway, they called and check when i gonna start work.. cause the manager working out the planner.. okies.. 12th december 2005. auspicious day. 12122005. haha

cufflinks are so cutee!! i like them. i don't tink they're for guys only.. i've seen ladies wearing them before, and look pretty cool.but i tink you'll need to tailor make ladies shirt? cause i suppose most shirts for ladies are not meant for cufflinks i tink..

My bf's officially stuck in Portugal. He just called me and said his trip is extended leh.. tink got tings stuck in his work.. and he got me someting! not from Lisbon if not wrong.. its from amsterdam airport rite? dunno aso.. someting to put my belly rings!! they really need a home.. i keep losing them..

Friends who know me should know, i'm quite blind most of the time. I'm short sighted, i wear contact lens only when i go shopping, i wear glasses only in classes.

During work, i'll jus walk almost blindly. i walk towards the mrt station, everyting is so routine that i don't need to see which direction of the train i should take. everyting becomes so routine that i don't need to take a 2nd look, thus i don't see the need of perfect eyesight for that purpose.

During work, i'll need to stare at the computer screen. i'll tear if i do that with my contact lens on, thus i do not wear lenses to work.

Shopping. Must wear! so that i can see clothes better. spot tings i like better. spot sales better. on the streets some more.. can see yandao guys better. hehe

On the way to school. don't need perfect eyesight aso.. no roads for me to cross.. jus walk routinely. only during classes i bring out my specs.

today during lunch, someting terrible happened!!! i was so embarrassed. to summarised. my inperfect eyesight had caused my embarrass-ment that i feel like digging a hole and put my head in. arrhh!!

i tot someone who's not waving to me, is waving to me. Brought her to my table, and unknowingly her grp of friends. she must have tot i treat her as spare tyre cause no one sit with me. its not!! i noe fanyu is coming later! arrrhh!! stupid glasses! should have jus worn them. then wun have caused this embarrassment.

i shall start wearing like erm.. during dinner! everytime i step out of my room! except go toilet and bathroom.

oh. my library trip was cancelled. cause its raining. =D

Library trip

Finally I'm proceeding to the library. Suppose to wake up at 9am this morning to go.. but due to some unforesee circumstances. my fingers jus unknowingly went to off the alarm.

I'm wearing the jeans that i bought from Sportsger. better wear now, cause i don't wear pants or jeans in singapore. the weather is jus so wrong for them. I read this article from URBAN that they surveyed singaporean gers, and they're all uniformly in jeans. and their reasons is cause singapore weather, the uniform would be jeans and tank top!! its so wrong!! so hot how to wear jeanss!! i only wear it here cause its cold.. if not i'll rather stick to my skirt, its so uncomfortable to wrap the legs. arg. anyway. fitting jeans! i hardly get fitting jeans. size 6 would normally be too small. size 8 normally too big then have to wear belt.. which i don't really like. but this size 8 is good!! but still i don't like jeans.

It fits nicely at my butt tooo!! normally it doesn't.. cause i'm almost butt-less.. arg.

i was trying to buy a pack of banana flavour brownes milk from the vending machine jus now. it's nicer in aussie k!! simin drank the s'pore one, and say the taste not as strong as aussie one. and its really good. but not all places here sells it. i can't get it in broadway dewson's. dunno y!! but the school vending machine sells it. i hate buying tings from machines. truely. IT CHEATED ME AGAIN!!

the ting got stuck on its way down. it got choked at the opening there and i couldn't even push open the opening!!. sad.. wasted my 2.40.. tink i'll go city on friday.. hehee.. then go Woolsworth to get it.. but it aso means i've gotta carry it back all the way from city!! arg.

To register, you would need to complete a registration form which would take you about 5 minutes and another 2-3 minutes for us to collect a sample of your blood through a pin prick on your finger.

Your blood sample would be sent for the HLA tissue-typing test and the result will be stored in our computer system for daily searches for patients who require bone marrow transplant. When you are identified as a potential match for a patient, we will then contact you to come forward for further test to confirm that you are a perfect match for a patient. The doctor in charge of the transplant would then do a medical and physical check-up on you before advising you on the two methods of harvest - bone marrow or stem cells.

There is no costs involved for donor and the risk is very minimal for bone marrow harvest since this will be done under general anaethesia.

Lisbon talk now.. my bf going there for work tonight.. part of Portugal. leaving at 10 plus plus flight taking this Royal Dutch airline.. according to his parents, its suppose to be a quite good airline.. then transit in Amsterdam, wait for 6 hours (which you can go shopping for my gift!!) then go Lisbon. the time difference there and us is 8 hours. they're at the right place of the world. which is GMT time. Singapore and Perth are both GMT + 8 hours. means theirs is 8 hours earlier then ours lor.. then went to check out the hotel Sana Lisbon that he's staying.. seems not bad leh.. of cause they'll only show the nice pictures on their site.. but still not bad i suppose..

I used to tink floods are great tings, and can never understand why its catagorised under 'disaster'. free swimming pool!! right at ur doorstep! how bad can that be?
I used to and going to, stay in my 13th floor erm.. apartment you may call that.. if it can flood up till erm.. 5th floor? then i can go to the 6th floor and jump down and swim!! YEAHH!! i always tot tat was a good thing. and I always tot its a bad thing that singapore doesn't ever flood!! until dunno wat age then realise its actually not a very good thing.. haha..

Just blogging now, after lunch.The countless times of 'fish and chips' for friday lunches without fail.

Had audit meeting this morning, poor david was sick, he couldn't speak!! he can actually.. but minimum. Our assingment seemed to be progressing alright, at least it seems to.. isit? probably. and realise splitting of work a bit the stress.. cause if the part you're doing get low marks ar.. jialat sia..then adrian says.. will review each other work lah. but its all about trust!!! pengz.

seems asif its the first time i do project work, kind off i suppose.. since the previous times wasn't really counted as group work. this is the first real group work i'm doing. hais. but it was alright..

was looking at the price list for our bangkok trip. the oni ting now is wait for li-ren's manager to come back for reservist then take leave.. then off we'll go!!

THERE is something about Xinmin Secondary School in Hougang.
My school!!!!! It was my last PSLE choice, cause of my sucking lousy results.. but it has climbed from over 150 ranking to now top 40 if i'm not wrong..

It has no integrated programme merging secondary and post-secondary education. It does not take in the cream of the primary school crop. It does not even boast the best O-level results in town.
But a year after the School Excellence Awards were introduced, it is sharing the honours with Raffles Junior College and Dunman High.

Not bad for a neighbourhood school, considering all the other winners - which include last year's recipients Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Raffles Institution and River Valley High - are brand-name schools offering the integrated programme.

To educationists, Xinmin's entry into the top ranks signals the Government's commitment to move away from assessing schools based on grades, to studying how they build all-round citizens.

Although academic prowess still counts for the School Excellence Award, it is weighted alongside achievements in a range of areas including co-curricular activities, such as sports and the arts.
That was how Xinmin won the highest honour for schools here despite its O-level results trailing behind a dozen other institutions, as revealed in the school achievement tables released yesterday.

It has been turning average students into top scorers for several years now, as well as helping them excel in other areas.

In all, Xinmin has won:

-the value-added award, which it first took in 1993;
-two Sustained Achievement Awards, for uniformed groups and physical health; and
-three Best Practice Awards - for all-round student development, teaching and learning, and staff wellbeing.

For a School Excellence Award, a school must shine in three different areas - such as uniformed groups, arts and sports - and win two Best Practice Awards, including one for all-round student development.

The new ranking and awards system is increasingly popular with secondary schools - 87 sought and won higher-level awards this year, compared to 79 last year.
But for most parents, academic banding is still all that counts, although a few like the new-look tables.

Assignment

Just finished discuss audit assignment with Adrian and David. For once, group assignment i actually feel quite good after the discussion, and feel real good actually.

My first assignment was 1st yr, Financial Accounting 101, with Christine and Karen, wasn't that good i suppose, cause we dunno each other, and we end up failing that assignment!

2nd one was with Chris, Fanyu and Paul, it was erm.. Intro to Finance 221, if i din't remmeber wrongly. And i was tinking it's the confirm best leow, cause got Paul, can't really remember what we've got for the results. but i really feel real bad after that. same applies to other assingments following, FSA, CFP etc.. i dare say, i did noting. i jus sat there, wait for time to pass. even if they gave me things to do. noting was used. not only i felt damn bad, i tot everyting was a waste of time. sitting there, looking at others to do work.

My last semester leow, finally someting good happened. Changed of grp. We allocated our work, discussed our problems when we meet up, evaluate each other's work. For once i felt this is really a grp work. Maybe the results may not be as good as Paul's grp, but i really felt good doing it. but come to think of it, doesn't mean if i work with them i'll get good results aso..

Last sem's IA, we only got 50 plus or 60, can't remember, FATP only got 52%. Not that i'm sad about the results, cause i did NOTING. dunno wat to say aso, cause none of it was my work. in a way, i'm leeching off others. but not that i din't wanna contribute, but i wasn't given a chance. I can't say it's a bad assignment, cause its not my work. I can't say its a good assignment, cause the results obviously says its not a good assignment. I jus had to keep quiet..

学警雄心

Just finished this 32 hong kong serial: 学警雄心.. so touching man the ending.. I like stories where ending someone died.. obviously someone died here too.. hais.. my bf says its sort of like BMT story.. but i guess if its a singapore production, they oni noe how to make ah beng fights.. etc etc.. but somehow i tink hong kong production are much nicer.. their story line, the way ppl act.. very nice.. this serial not a single person i noe sia.. but i still find it real nice..

One of the male leads.. look like this TCS old actor i tink.. But he's too skinny i tink.. oni simin will like.. tall tall bony bony kind.. hahaa

this one i like!! but i don't really like his character in the show... too rush and stubborn.. but he's quite cute.. and has a great body!!

this is the one in the end who died.. he's those kind in shows.. those ultra good guy.. who can change ppl.. from bad to good those kind..

one of the female leads.. i don't like her character thou.. except the part that she's ultra rich..

2nd time i saw her. the last show was erm.. last mth in this silly emporer show, she's in it as well! i tink she's quite good.. but never seen her in other shows before thou..

Summary: Very nice show!!! Proven that we shld support Hong Kong production!!

but just heard from my cousin, japan unis has very very very very (yes, she used 4 verys) low foreign students quota. and its not easy to get it as well using personal capacity, so normally ppl go in throu scholarship.

Today i've done noting much. morning sent bf off. then went eat macdonalds with darren. then came back, do some bo leow stuff, like surf net, blog.

till now, i've watched dunno how many epsiodes of show leow.. a bit tired.. haha.. oh.. took a nap in the noon thou.. hais.. bored..

shall start studying? yeah.. tink i shld.. last week my bf come, spent one entire week not study leow.. better get it done and over with. less than 2 months i'll be home leow. hopefully for good.. hehe.. tink i had enuff fun. shld go listen to the lectures that i've missed.. hais..

4 audit lectures --> 8 hours of lectures (which means i one entire month never go lecture!!!)

so fast... today's friday.. my bf's here for almost a week.. he'll be leaving on sunday morning leow.. hais.. but guess wat!! i'll be home in erm.. 66 days time!! so fast sia.. when freemantle today then went city.. i got these.. hehe..

the pink colour strips are actually not made of rubber that the aussie ang mohs like to wear.. its actually made of cloth.. i always wanted one of these.. not rubbery kind.. and this is hte oni pair i saw!! hehe.. so pretty some more.. so i finally got it..

I got these as well.. keep seeing it appearing everytime i go sportsgirl, my bf says its nice, so i jus got them haha.. i like it aso.. i love dangling earrings!!

I guess i wun be heading out shopping anytime soon.. considering that i've been out shopping for the pass entire week!! and spending quite a lot leow sia.. then my bf go back.. must start studying for exams leow.. so can't go out that often.. at least not so soon.. =)
