My Mom's first order . . .

Well . . . From the Heart by RGM has just fulfilled their very first custom order. Valerie, my cousin was married last weekend and asked my Mom to create her Thank-You cards. I designed the Thank You and my Mom fulfilled her first order of 75 Thank You cards . . . WTG MOM!!! :) We're hoping that this will get her business up and going!

I LOVE Weddings . . .

We went to my cousin's wedding on Saturday, it was absolutely Beautiful! It was held at Springwood Ranch, outside and the reception was in the old barn. It was Amazing, I loved the atmosphere! I took a ton of pictures, when I saw this one of them sharing their first dance as husband and wife I couldn't wait to scrap it. I sent it to my cousin this afternoon, she LOVED it too!
We all had a great time . . . ate some delicious food, drank a little wine (and for Joe) some beer, caught up with family that I haven't seen in nearly twenty years, enjoyed some conversations and some not so much! Kaitie caught the throw away bouquet and Jakob danced the night away literally. Lots of pictures of him and my cousin's little girl twirling around and having a ball! If I only had a few more drinks in me maybe I would have gotten on that dance floor too! I did try once to dance with Jakob, but his partner wouldn't give him up for even a second. My cousin's got Kaitie out on the dance floor too, boy can that girl shake her booty! Well, not really . . . she gets NOT having any rhythm from me! :)

An Athlete in the making . . .

Kaitie had her first Volleyball game on Monday, most of the girls have never played before, but they all tried very hard! They won one match out of three, the match Kaitie played in. Today was they're second game and although they lost, she gained three points on her serves. GO KAITIE!!! :) They played really well in today's game, and are really starting to come together as a team. Kaitie is one of the tallest girls on the team, I think there is only one other girl that's taller. She's played Basketball for the past three years, but I really think that Volleyball will be her sport!

Some of Life's Simple Pleasures . . .

Well, at least today they are . . . Kenny Chesney's new CD release is today and I could not wait to go pick it up! Anyone who knows me knows that I sorta like him . . . actually I LOVE HIM!!! ;) Picked up the CD and then hit Starbucks, no better way to spend the rest of the morning than with a HOT guy and a nice COOL drink, well . . . other than if I was actually with that HOT guy! LOL :) Joe has already promised me that we would go to another one of Kenny's shows, maybe this summer! Definitely something to look forward to!

I've been crowned . . .

I waited all afternoon Wednesday for the announcement to be made, finally it was and I WON!!! Woo Hoo!!! :) When I told Kaitie, she said it was because her face is on the layout (a typical response from her). LOL :) I told her it was a scrapbook contest not a beauty contest! So for the rest of the night I was the Queen to everyone!

Well . . . this morning I woke up as usual, got the kids ready and out the door for school. Then headed to the gym, finished up there and then ran to Costco with Mom. I have been patiently, ok not so patiently waiting for Craft Warehouse to announce which one of the Scrapbook Queens won the Grand Prize. So, the first thing I checked when I got home was their site, and guess what??? It was ME!!! So, in addition to my $300 Goodie Box and I also get a $200 Gift Card to the store. I have to wait until Monday though to be able to pick up my prize, it's going to be a very long weekend! :)

I was also told this afternoon, that the Target that's about to open close to home is going to have a Starbucks in it . . . can today get any better???

Who's going to be crowned Craft Warehouse's Scrapbook Queen . . . ME???

I entered this contest last month . . . and have been waiting all day for the announcement to be made. This waiting game is killing me! Either way I love this LO of Kaitie and it's a winner in my book no matter what! :)

OK . . . maybe I'm not so good at blogging

Well, it's been almost 4 months since my first post and I'm just now posting for the second time. I know I will get the hang of this eventually! :)

Kaitie and Jakob started back to school last Wednesday, it's been a long summer and both the kids and myself are so glad they're back in school again. Just hoping we all have a good school year! Here they are on their first day of school . . . Jakob isn't doing any sports this fall, but Kaitie is going to give volleyball a shot. She's never played before, but with her height maybe this will be her sport!
