please forgive me, i don't know if i am doing this right.
hey. my name is rena lou, i live in the southeastern part of kentucky usa, letcher county.
i have always loved old photo's. i would love to go through my grandmothers albums for hours on end, getting on her nerves by asking who were the people, when was the photo taken, and where it was taken at.
as i grew older, when i went to yard sales, i would look for photos people would have.
you would not believe that people would sale or just dump pictures of their family members that were long forgotten.
i would buy them, and put them away in albums. i just couldn't bear the thought of them not having a loving home.
alot of my pictures have come from antique malls, people would get them from estate sales to resale. now, they have a loving home, and are displayed around my home. for our yearly old fashioned day where i used to work, i would take them to display.
it gives me a sense of having a family that i never had. my grandmother was my only family,
and she passed 21 years ago. i know it sounds stupid, but to see a time gone, and to know that once these people had lives and loves just gives me a good feeling.
if anyone has any out there they want to get rid of, or any old letters, let me know.
if i didn't do this blog right, or wasn't supposed to ask for the photos, let me know and i will not post.
