First post in 2010...

From the last time I blogged to now... So many things have happened...

I lost my dearest, dearest, dearest god-ma... My 假妈咪... The one who taught me how to cook, how to eat roti prata, how to take life as it is, how to forgive and forget, how to give without wanting anything in return... The best person in the world who has never ever complained about the unhappiness that life dealt her with... Why must she die? WHY WHY WHY? Everytime I think about her, I feel angry... Angry with why the fates and gods must take her away from me... from us... There are so many people who loved her and who are still loving her... People like her hubby, her children... People whose hearts have been touched by her...

I still remember the scene of her cooking my favourite white fungus dessert... She came all the way to my house to cook for me... I miss you so much... So very much...

Less than 3 months later, my grandpa also left us... Though he was very old already, but still... Now I don't have any grandparents left... :(

25th!

Last Friday (4 Sept 09), dear June organised a "Dinner & Drinks" session for me at Dempsey's The Wine Company! The white wine, red wine and dessert wine was really good, but nothing beats the company I had. :) Ye Peng, Karen, Celine, June and Allen celebrated my quarter-life crisis with me over a dinner of pizza, chicken wings, salads, satay, etc... and dessert (I shared a tiramisu with June)! Although I had a really terrible bout of flu, I enjoyed myself so much that I recovered quite a bit over the weekend.

Woke up early on Saturday, but nua-ed at home until about 1.30pm when May and her family picked me up from home to go over to their place in Serangoon. After which, May and I went back to my office 'cos I forgot my wallet! (eeks, second time in a week) We then headed for Orchard Rd where we wanted to go for a high of durian goodies at Goodwood Park, only to realise that they were out of season due to the mid-autumn festival (mooncakes mah!). We wanted to buy the mooncakes, but were told that they can only last one hour if kept at room temperature. So we didn't get them... Hubby came to pick us up after the shopping frenzy and together with mommy, the four of us went to Sushi Tei @ the PlayGround (the former Big Splash). Gorged ourselves crazy and it was super worth it 'cos I had the 20% discount for my birthday month!

Hubby and I went to get the mooncakes on Sunday... We got the assorted flavours one (mango, champedek, durian and some green-coloured sourish mooncake), and brought it to May's place to share.

Got my day off today, to celebrate my 25th! But am staying home 'cos Hubby has to work. :( But he promised that he has a surprise for me tonight... I wonder what it is! :) Looking forward to my dinner with Huiyi tomorrow evening too! :D

I must admit that I am really disappointed that you forgot... but I guess, that's okay...

Flying off to Bangkok...

This is my second trip to the Land of Smiles (aka Bangkok)! The first was a 4D3N trip with my darlings, Ling and Maymay. This time round, I'm going with Daddy, Mommy and Hubby.

The 1st trip was a budget trip, with us flying by TIGER (growl) airways and staying at Ambassdor Hotel. We had shared a queen bed and the hotel was really run down! But it was really fun, 'cos I had my best friends with me. :) Wei Ling looked after both of us so well...

This trip, we booked it with a travel agent. Costs us about 50% more than what we would have had to pay via budget, but we're flying on a commercial flight and staying in a boutique hotel. Siam@Siam (which is near the national Stadium BTS) has got quite a good number of good reviews (I suddenly remembered that I forgot my bikinis!!! And the airline attendants are announcing that boarding has commenced), so I am really looking forward to a good spa session and wonderful service. The breakfast is exceptionally good, or so I've heard (haha... I am a foodie at heart!).

Okay, gotta run off now... Will blog when I'm back, provided that there isn't that much backlog of work!

Maymay - Take care of Mommy, k? We'll be back on Sunday! Will keep a look out for the bags you want. Anything, just sms SM, k? :D

Ling - Called you the other day, but you didn't pick up. :( I wanted to ask if you wanted to go for a short trip to Hong Kong/Korea? Catch up with you again once I'm back. Miss you lots leh... *hugs*

Honeymoon (14 - 28 November 2009)

Finally! Hubby has finally decided to fix the date for our honeymoon. Hehehe... He has been procastinating for the longest time and he has finally given in to my incessant whining and relented that we shall go for a 2-week long honeymoon to Japan in November this year!

I had very much wanted to go to Europe (Central Europe to tour), but he wasn't very keen and he gave me a maximum of 14 days for the tour. That's tooooo short for Europe! Besides, between Japan and Europe (both my choices), he was more comfortable with Japan "because they are Asians too". *lol*

We've booked our tickets with Singapore Airlines (must support our own airline ma) and will be flying off in Mid-November for 2 weeks! It'll also be my virgin experience on board A380... Hopefully it will not disappoint!

Gotta go get a video camera to record all the beautiful autumn scenery... and to get Hubby his winter wear 'cos the temperature for Hokkaido would be about 1-7 degree celsius! :)

I love and will miss you, Michael...

Michael Jackson has passed away for almost 2 weeks now, but I still feel sad whenever I hear of his death. I grew up on his music! I just want to say that I will always miss MJ.

You're the King of Pop and always will be... in my heart.
