Our Valentines this year was spread over a couple of days. Emilie started it off by having a valentines party at pre-school the Thursday before Valentines. She helped me make these snack bags and did such a good job writing her name on the back. She came home with tons of fun valentines.
Then on Saturday we had a stake Valentines dinner and dance. Each ward is required to have a few couples perform a dance that goes along with the theme of the dance. Daniel actually said yes! The theme was "At the Hop" 50's dress and we danced to "Rockin Robin" We had a great time at practices and at the dinner. Daniel and I along with the Blasdells did a few flips and lifts, it was a lot of fun and dinner was great.
I am completely devastated that I didn't get pictures of our actual valentines date. Alexis and I put together a valentines couples bunco party. We rented the conference room at the holiday inn and had a ton of fun snacks/treats and played bunco with 12 couples. We all brought a $20.00 couples gift and had a great time playing and picking our date night prizes. It was a huge success and we had a ton of fun. We ended the night by swimming at the pool and soaking in the jacuzzi. It was so much fun and I am so sad that we didn't get pictures.
We had a great valentines weekend! The Saturday before valentines we had some great weather in the 70's and decided to take the kids 4-wheeling and for a picnic up to the beehives. We left from our house and headed up the mountain. My mom came with us and the kids loved every min. Easton fell asleep on the 4-wheeler on the way up. They loved climbing the rocks and making sand angels in the dirt. This is the very reason I LOVE KANAB. You can do so many fun things right from your house. Nothing take weeks to plan. We have amazing friends, family and some AMAZING scenery. Who wouldn't want to live here. ;)
One day last week Anna came over to play with Emilie. They played outside the entire time. When I went to check on them I noticed Emilie was still in her white shirt and had red sand all over. It definitely was a Holy Crap, What The Heck... mom moment. I was so ticked that I hadn't changed her clothes and new I would never be able to get that shirt white again. For all you who have been around the red dirt, you know what I am talking about. Anyways, they had a good time and after many bleaches, oxy clean soaks, and some other concoction my mom has I'm happy to say the shirt is for the most part white again. yay. They had such a good time building mud castles and I couldn't stop them :)
That's what we have been up to :) enjoy!
