Swimming and Crafts

We had a fun weekend last week. Some friends had invited us over for swimming and and BBQ. The kids and I had gone over earlier in the week and then we went back on Saturday with the men. We had a blast swimming with a slide and diving board. Emilie loved it and went about 400 times. I have videos and if I get time I'll try to upload but for now there will be none because I don't have time.
Then we went to the BBQ. We took a ride in their Rhino and Emilie kept saying faster faster.
Daniel took these pictures hence the blurriness
When it got dark we pulled out some sparklers. Daniel and I also dominated in a game called corn hole :) Its kind of like horse shoes but with bean bags and a piece of wood thing with a hole it it. haha, anyways that was a poor description but we did well as a team.
Emilie loving the sparkler
I was feeling crafty this week especially when I realized that I have been married for 7 years almost and had ZERO fourth of July crafts. I decided to get started with some bows for Emilie to sport on the 4th. I love making them and they are so cheap. 3 bucks plus a few buttons, ribbon & alligator clips.
I made these 4 sided blocks so I can leave them out for the next 4 seasons. 1 set of blocks = 4 seasons of crafts.
And a couple more things I made for decorations
This is a Tile...So cheap and easy. Just some cute Scrapbook paper, 12x12 Tile, and Modpodge.
And my least favorite...
Well...we leave for D.C. tomorrow and I am super excited to spend time with my family. Yay. So off to packing and getting ready for our 6 hour drive.
P.s. I colored my hair dark again and I also have some extensions in...I can't decide if I like myself with long hair or not. Its so different and I am a little hesitant. If I decide to wear the extensions more and like them  I will post some pictures. Anyways, just thought I would let you all know my dilemma right now :) Checkin out...should be back next week for some good pictures of D.C.

Not much going on...

Ok I know I haven't posted much lately but we haven't had many picture events going on. Summer is officially here and we have been doing a lot of swimming. It has started getting really hot the last week or so and swimming has been the perfect escape to what we may call paradise for the time being. My dad came out last week, it was nice to have him here. Him and Daniel played tennis like everyday but he also became my handy man. He fixed my table, car brakes, trunk shock thingys, cupboard door....and I think that's all, it was a huge help. In other exciting news...Daniel no longer has to sit in a classroom, He is done with classes and school work FOREVER. He started rotations Monday and will work for FREE until May when he graduates. I will never miss the late nights of studying and going to bed without my hubby. I'm super excited that this is our last year. We also heard that he possibly has 4 rotations in Utah instead of 3. Meaning....We can move home around the first of November rather than the first of December. YAY. Its not official quite yet but should be soon. Anyways, things are great here.
So moving onto the pictures. About a month ago we decided we would go camping...Well we made our tin foils, packed the car to the brim and headed out. Well it started Pouring Rain. No joke, you couldn't see while driving...After much contemplating we decided to head back home. It was sad to have to tell Emilie that we were not going and I was sad because that meant another boring weekend. I totally would have camped in some rain. The problem is this rain was not just some it was crazy heavy and everything was soaked and we would have had to sit in the tent the entire night....What I hate the most is with the forecast out here you never know if it really is going to rain or not...grrrr.
Here is Daniel and Emilie, she always pretends she is sleeping in the car. Ya right...it never happens. Daniel looks like he is sleeping too..lol
Here is Easton and I. I had to take the headrest off to get both of us.
Easton loves crawling in the entertainment center. He will crawl in and lay there or try to shut himself in. So I thought I would snap some pics.
My blue eyed little babe

This was fathers day morning. We made Daniel breakfast in bed and then Emilie took him is present. Emilie was so excited to give it to him
She also opened it. We got him a new tennis racket. My dad hooked us up with a $200+ racket for less than $100. Sweet deal.
Daniel with the kids....Now we had to hussle to get ready for church.
And how could I forget about our wannabe garden. We put sticks in the peas and the plants grew past them in like a day. So we have to get something else. All of the vines are hanging all over each other. And the tomato plant looks very lush. It has a big clump that you can see in the pics and then has a lot more that have bloomed. YAY.
      Sweet Peas                                 Cherry Tomato's
As for me I still cook, clean, take care/play with the kids, wipe butts and snotty noses, watch the view and bachelorette regularly, swim, run and I'm feeling a little crafty today so I may make some 4th of July crafts and I am totally looking forward to our vacation next week in D.C. My family will be there and it will be so nice to get out a town for a week. :) SEE YA.

Happy Fathers Day!

I just wanted to give a big shout out to my hubby and say happy fathers day. We love you so much and you are the best dad ever! You have worked so hard to be a dad/husband and also get good grades in school we appreciate you so much are so thankful you are in our lives. Emilie and Easton get so excited to see you when you come home. Thanks for being such a great dad! We hope you have a Happy Fathers Day!
I also would like to tell my dad happy fathers day from his kids and grandkids. I couldn't imagine having a better dad than I had. He spent a lot of time working and playing with us. After long days at work and coaching he would still come home and work on volleyball with me or whatever we were doing at the time. He has been a great example to me in my life and I hope he knows how much I love him. He just was out to visit this last we and I enjoyed every min. I miss my family so much. So anyways...here is a little picture of all of us together saying happy fathers day :) love ya dad.

Kids & The Garden Update

Sorry to all who couldn't see the video. It just isn't going to work I guess. Once the Updated Editor gets the video attachment then I will add videos again. But for now there will be no videos. But I couldn't leave this post as just the garden update, that would be kind of lame. lol. So I will post this picture of Easton that was taken at our end of year YM & YW Cookout. He's a cutie...his hair really is starting to grow you just can't tell because its so blonde.
And now the Garden Update...
Here is the Cherry Tomato Plant, Its looking great I think...lol. As long as its still green it looks great to me. I totally don't know anything about gardening. And if you can remember from the last post about the garden. Eastons contribution has turned out to be ok. The top grew back and looks great now.
And here are the sweet peas, they are growing like crazy. We are getting ready to put some sticks in them so they have something to grow on and wrap around. We planted 8 seeds and 5 have come up.
Emilie is loving it, we can't wait to be able to taste the yummy veggies.
We also went and saw shrek 3 I think it was 3...lol maybe it was like the 4th or 5th...idk...who cares. But we went to a 3D theater and it was way fun. Emilie actually sat there and watched for the first time ever. We had to toss Easton around a bit but it was way cute and fun. Emilie woke up last night and said there were witches in her room though...Hopefully by tonight she gets over that.
