I had a gathering last night.. THE FAREWELL GATHERING... It has to be held on Thurs cos most of us will be out of France for traveling today...
After speaking to most of them, I realized that it was not only me who got a little sick of Europe.. but most of them.. Zhuyan didnt really want to go to Geneve anymore.. same for Liu Yu who is going to Amsterdam today...
Today will be the last trip in Europe already.. And here I am in the office.. Trying to churn out more information..
Ok.. I am taking a short break to blog about my weekend trip to PRAGUE!!! or Praha they call it..
Woke up at like 3 in the morning to get to the airport.. and apparently.. the French system is damn lousy.. no one checks if you have a train ticket in the morning.. there are like lots of ppl who doesnt have tickets and board the train.. As a good Singaporean.. I bought mine..
So I was at terminal 3 which I think is so much better than terminal 1.... the place is nicer...people are more friendly
After a 2hr flight and 1hr bus ride.. I am finally at my hostel!!! GOSH.. the hostel was so much better than I expected... super duper clean.. super duper huge..
Luckily I got a bed on the next door.. if I were to sleep here.. I think I will rather commit suicide..
After checking in and I went for my Prague tour.. view from the Charles Bridge.. erm.. as the roads are all cobbled.. thats why the paranoma isn't that pretty.. argh... and I think I walked up and down the bridge at least 6 times cos the place is pretty small..
They have 31 statues along the bridge.. and this is one of them.. erm.. I am not sure why they have Jesus on the bridge..
I think they are well known for their puppet shows too.. therefore there are quite a number of shops selling puppets..
The Astronomical Clock that you will definitely not missed cos it is right beside the OLD TOWN.. erm.. its also the place where you have lots of ppl gathering every hour to see the most boring CROWING of the bird...
There was a summer market there too.. and they sell lots of food.. so I decided to try the hotdog bread.. which is DELICIOUS...

And of cos.. not forgetting my postcards.. I had to walked like 30 mins to get to a post office cos the TABAC shops refuse to sell me postage stamps when I dont buy the postcards from them.. WTH.. but I didnt get a lot of postcards.. haiz.. sorry to those that I didnt send.. =S
After that I had to RUN all the way back to the old town square for the tour.. erm.. this was Free Tour Prague.. which I stayed for like 20 mins and I jumped ship to NewEurope tour.. hahaha...

I love the night scenery the most in Prague.. they just have a very warm feeling...
And of cos.. Buskers were all over the place..

So my trip ended with a beautiful sunset.. with me heading back to the hostel to take a nap before catching the bloody early flight the next day...
Time to blog about AMSTERDAM!!!! but before that.. Need to talk abt the people who left over the weekend.. The USA and the Canadians left early cos they came to Paris earlier for the internship.. and before the Canadians left, Max and the other girl made dinner for us!!!
It was absolutely delicious.. the pie.. The salad.. gosh.. they are very nice...

So after dinner, we headed for Gallieni for the bus to Amsterdam.. it was a torturous 7 hours ride.. sit until BUTT PAIN.. and its not very comfortable to sleep.. hahah...
But eventually, we managed to get to the HOSTEL that was named "The Worst Hotel in the World".. whahaha... But I think its just a prank.. cos the place was very cosy.. and the staff were very friendly.. People.. if you were to go to Amsterdam.. Stay in this hostel...
Amsterdam is full of LONKAO.. here one there one.. and people are so free to rent the boats and go around these LONKAOs for the whole day somemore loh...
So another way of creating jobs is to sit a guy in the middle of the tram to sell tickets.. whahaha...
I think Amsterdam has the scariest number of bicycles I have ever seen.. It was so so many until they even have BOATS to store them...
The thing that Amsterdam is famous for is definitely the SEX.. and so there were so many sex shops around.. and we found the PENIS PASTA!!! wanted to get a box.. but then it was 7 euros!!!!
And there's this CHEESE SHOP that we went in to taste.. hahaha.. number the cheese and they have it...

No wonder everyone is loving "MCDONALD" in Amsterdam.. hahaha...
And we went to this pancake bakery for lunch.. it was delicious.. actually the pancake was crepes instead of those that we ate in Macs...

Erm.. though holland is famous for the windmills but in Amsterdam.. the only PATHETIC windmill they have is this!!! gosh.. it was pretty disappointing...
And of cos.. the sunset was nice too...
I am a druggie for one night.. went to this coffeeshop that doesnt serve coffee.. but serve weed.. so I bought this space cake!!! that contains weed... erm.. I took like majority of the cake.. but then there isnt any effect at all..
And finally.. the signboard of the Hotel.. instead of Hotel.. it shows it as HEL!!! hahahah.. I think its another pun of the owners....
erm.. Amsterdam is worthwhile to go as an eyeopener.. to look at the prostitutions and everything.. quite interesting.. but i think 2 days is more than sufficient.. hahaha...
yeah yeah yeah.. I am so happy that I am going to go back soon.. PJ said that I am silly cos so many people wants to be in Europe but I want to go back.. hahaha.. Cant wait to meet up with the rest of the people.. Sock, PJ, Ping & Hans!! lets meet up when I am back ok.. Hans can cook for us.. now at most I can fry EGG only.. so dont expect much.. hahaha..
ok.. my report got send back again.. -_-" i think its the 4th time already.. which meant I changed like 4 times already.. and he is still not happy with it.. and I am changing it again now.. =P
Anyway.. 2 more weeks.. 2 more weeks.. and I will be back...
I am starting to like the stuff that I am doing.. It's like playing TREASURE HUNT everyday.. searching for information online and hoping to HIT ON A TREASURE with every CLICK of the mouse... and also trying to DECIPHER "codes" (hahaha.. I had to do translation from Russian, Portuguese, Chinese into English..)
But I think it is a little tat too late.. hahaha.. since its nearing the end of my internship...
Erm.. how am I going to survive the last few weeks.. The reports are piling up.. and I told my boss that I might not be able to complete them in time.. and he doesnt seem to get the idea that I CANT FINISH THEM!!! and he just said: let's TRY!!! argh.. and that means that I have to work extra extra extra hard to finish them...
Finally came back from Nice after a torturous ride of 6 hours to the countryside... with a stop over at Marseilles.. erm.. actually I realised that all the places like Marseilles, Nice and Monaco are the same.. just the seaside...

Once we have reached Nice.. it was already 12 midnight.. and after washing up.. I decided to hit the streets.. walk around and see see.. and quite surprisingly.. it was like 2.30am but people are still on the streets..

the beach in Nice is different from Singapore.. it is laid with pebbles instead of sand.. and it's quite painful to walk on them barefooted..
There was this white gorilla in the hostel.. which i found it damn cute and lonely.. hahaha...

I was sitting on the platform along the beach where there's no one around.. enjoying the sea breeze.. and the sun...

I wanted to try parasailing.. but then I think it is expensive.. thats why I sat there and enjoy the thrill of ppl having a hard landing...
After a day in Nice.. we decided to go to Morte Carlo, Monaco for a short trip.. intended to stay there for the night.. but then it was WAY TOO BORING.. it only has got casinos and nothing else.. and thats that first time in my life that I see more than 10 Ferraris zooming past me...

Yup.. that is the end of my Nice trip.. beside the nice Nice beach.. there is nothing else that is really memorable.. hahaha.. well.. lets look forward to Amsterdam next... hahaha...
