Daybreak?

We have spent alot of time this past week visiting a new housing development in South Jordan called Daybreak. With a large lake, dozens of parks and open space, close proximity to the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple (4 blocks away along the bench) and Ryan's work, and a close knit community that will have families that share some of the same current life challenges and experiences, Daybreak is something that we fell in love with from the start.

Our initial home research had us looking at homes built by Rainey Homes. While they are a little more expensive than other builders in the area, the quality is hard to match elsewhere. After a nique set of events, we found a house plan that has everything that we have discussed for some time now - Covington. It is one of two new plans that they just released. Take a moment to review the plan.

We put down $1,000 to reserve a lot on Saturday. This week will be busy determining financing options, visiting their design center to learn more about additional options, and asking the Lord for confirmation that this is what/where He would like us to do/be.

Zero to Sixty!

It has been so great to have Abbey in our home ... she adds a whole new dimension to the hustle and bustle. Overall, she is very good girl ... however, she has recently been nicknamed by her Dad "Zero to Sixty" due to her drastic changes in emotion. One minute she's happy and perfectly content ... but don't be fooled she can quickly change course with her piercing screams and flailing arms. This quick change is usually associated with the desire for more food ... she loves to eat!
Yes, she looks all calm and sweet in this picture, but "zero to sixty" emerges within seconds.

In this picture, Kylie is a little stunned by the sudden outburst.

It's snowing again!

* * * * * Snow flakes are flying again here in Suncrest. The forecast is for valley rain and mountain snow through tomorrow evening (Monday, 4/23). Winter is trying its best to hold on as long as it can.

While we have loved the breath-taking views and mountain scenery, the weather was something that we didn't think about much when we decided to move here. All of our neighbors often say, 'just wait for the summer and fall - they are amazing here'. We are anxious for Summer.

Flat Tire

Has luck would have it, Ryan found that the car had a flat tire yesterday morning. The culprit was a nail, most likely from a recent construction site visit. We have been looking recently at various home options, trying to get an idea what we would like to pursue in the future.

The market here in Utah is very strong and as a result, home and land prices are quite high. Some how we will find a way to make it work. As long as you live your life as you should, opportunities are provided.

And yes, we did get the flat tire fixed. Les Schwab had it fixed in 10 minutes and at no cost, since we purchased the tires there 6 months ago.

My Head Hurts

We find ourselves again at the Riverwoods Medical Center in Provo. Ironically, this is the same center that we visited a little over a year ago when Stephanie had her breast absess. Maybe we need to move to the Riverwoods!

For the past several weeks, Stephanie has been complaining of a nagging headache. After a visit to Urgent Care last evening, we are now at the Medical Center to get a CT Scan. Poor Stephanie. For some reason, postpartum doesn't suit well for Stephanie!

The results are in ... all aspects are negative. What does that mean? Your guess is as good as ours. Noone seems to know why she has this horrible headache. At least there is nothing visual in the brain. Excedrin Migraine ... here we come!

Backpack

In a recent visit to Cabela's, Kylie discovered 'backpacks'. Since that time, she has said 'ackpack' at least a thousand times.

During a recent errand run with her Dad, Kylie was given her own backpack. She wears it everywhere, even to bed if we would let her! By the ways, se believe 'HK' means 'Kylie Hobbs', rather than 'Hello Kitty'.
