Needless to say that ALL shows have been calcelled and/or postponed during this pandemic time. There´s really nothing I can add except send warm thoughts and sunlight to each and every home where physical distancing is taking place.

Be brave, this too shall pass. It might pass as a kidney stone, but it will pass.

Nordic Lights Burlesque

I´ve been planning the classes I will sub for Tinker Bell at the end of this month and -boy! oh boy! they will be sweaty so look out you bootycampers (among others)! I´ve had so much FUN putting the playlists´ together! :D

But before we get that far there is the ALL SCANDINAVIAN burlesque festival upon us! Håll i hattarna! The Nordic Lights Burlesque Festival is 15-16th of May (the same time as the Vienna Boylesque Festival: all my love to Sir Willy Waterlily and the rest of the fantastic performers out there <3  -LOVE YOU!)
I´ll be taking the flight with Pepper Sparkles and Miss Acrolicious (who brought her acro mat to our house already today on her way to the Sticky Nipples Revue in Tallinn!) -and we promise to bring the house down in Östersund with the help of some seriously awesome crew next week!!!! If you´re over there do NOT miss this! More info here!

EDIT 16.05.2015: The festival was cancelled by the producers due to bad tickets sales. We got the information last Monday and were, of course, both shocked and saddened that this did not happen. I hope Nordic Light Festival will be able to put together a show sometime in the future!

Tehdas 2!!!

Happy Holidays!

It´s time to wrap this up for 2014! It´s been a crazy, wonderful year with lots of fantastic things both personally and professionally! I got to perform in so many wonderful places, meet so many great human beings, share stages and backstages with so many amazing people there are no words for it really. My dream of performing at the New York Burlesque Festival came to life AND I got to go there with my ladies Sandy & Pepper, Tinker and Bettie plus Frank and Tuomas, which made it even more fun! Another long time wish of mine happened in Vienna  where I was introduced by World Famous *BOB*, -and that whole festival was such a mindblowing experience, meeting all these crazy, talented, shimmering people from all around the world. Amsterdam Burlesque Awards was the icing of the cake where Xarah, in spite of everything, made some magic happen. And all these events here at home where I´ve laughed, swapped pastie tape and hugs...Oh boy! <3
My nephew says "Dream Big"...if your neighbours aren´t laughing at your dreams they aren´t big enough. My dreams might not be those of winning titles or of world dominance but this year surely made some of them happen.
I want to thank especially my partners in crime: Sandy Jungle and Pepper Sparkles for being my ladies, my friends and companions on this journey. A huge, warm hug & thanks to my Finnish burlesque family (you know who you are!), my burlesque mama Bettie Blackheart (to whom I owe SO MUCH!) and a squeeze on the bottocks to my husband for all the love and support -because if it wasn´t for a supportive spouse this would be pretty impossible.

Now it´s time to relax and greet the New Year of 2015 with hope, wishes and maybe, just maybe...a few more dreams. Have a great Holiday Season and take care <3

It´s been pissing down raining almost ALL day here but small things made me happy...like that huge, bright blue flower pot (that matched our doors, thank you Emiliano for a paint job well done last Summer <3 ) that I filled with pink and blue flowers and my trip to the library where I found proper Summer reading ( the latest Swedish detective novel by Mari Jungstedt- the series is awesome!, a book written by Charles Bukowski´s old flame Pamela "Cupcake" Wood (Bukowski was one of my favourite reads back in the day, right up there with Henry Miller) and the biography of Robert Plant. So rain or no rain, I´m set!!!

BlaZing BurlesQue!

Yeah! Last Summer me and Pepper started out performing at Sauna Open Air in Tampere and THIS year we will get to rokk out at the South Park-festival! I´m absolutely *thrilled*: Holy Curves! have produced a kickin´ show and we have *a whole stage* to do it! The BLAZING BURLESQUE stage!

 Both Friday and Saturday me, Pepper Sparkles, the Holy Curves!, Miss Chrissy Kiss (EST) and the wonderful Natsumi Scarlett (NL) will make sure it´ll be hot and humid (no matter what the weather will be haha!) Other than that there will be my teenage-love Skid Row ( saw them live too long ago to even say...), WASP, Sonata Arctica, Europe, Reckless Love...it´ll be a hair metal fest to the max <3
As I am bummed I have lost my (self made) Skid Row-jeans vest somewhere in the past I´m looking forward to maybe meet the  guys and get on with this craziness! I´ll bring my newly pimped "In Flames" for your eyes only and some other shenanigans as well...

So, Tampere: I´m coming for you once again!

Drop it like it´s hot!

I´ve been performing since 2010 and never dropped a pastie or tassel...until last night :)
Sinsational Spring Awakening was HOT! And I mean literally: we´ve had a heatwave in Finland, +30C for a week so every place is *steaming*. The venue was at the oldest restaurant still in use in Hellsinki so I´m guessing the AC is not really up-to-date (everything else is wonderful!) and the backstage was crazy hot! You had sweat running down your body even before you took one step! I was dying in my outfit - a full-sequined dress and that glorious Star Boa made by Fannie Annie (all fantastic 3 meters of it) and had to give up on my tassel glue: they just kept popping! Thank you Pepper for lending me your mat tape...but not even THAT could keep my tassel on during the crazy twirling in the cats-duo :D
One thing I have learned is that whatever happens on stage you just have to own it and keep on going. So I did, -boobs galore and just ripped the other one off as well in the end. Trying to cover it with one hand would have just made the whole coreo a mess. Besides: it´s just a breat right? Fun part was my mother and my step-dad were in the audience as were a lot of my colleagues from my day-job haha! Got a lot of cheers for a good attitude and I wan´t the only one who popped that night, my girl Tinker Bell and some others joined that club as well! WOOP!
Started packing for Vienna since me, Pepper and Lola fly out this Tuesday. CRAZY! I´m really nervous but very very excited! Right now I´m mostly worried that my bags will get lost on the way since we have a flight change in Riga...yikes.
Thank you Bettie Blackheart for last night! You´re one amazing power house of a woman <3

Spring!

The snow is (once more) gone and I´ve been planting stuff in my garden as well as gotten some new garden furniture -yay! Spring, probably my favourite season...but then I kinda like them all :)
This Saturday there will be a celebration of this fantastic season at Ravintolalaiva Wäiski in Hellsinki. The place is special for me for many reasons, not just because that´s where I took the burlesque stage for the very first time...one of the lovelies I met that first time was miss Titania Hill, who will perform this Saturday - along my own Pepper Sparkles and Sir Willy Waterlily  and many more <3 I´m trying my damnest to be there and so should you! Love has no gender

So come and show us some love tomorrow night at Dubrovnik where drag meets burlesque at the amazing shows of Drag me to HEL! There might be some tickets at the door so come early, doors open at 8pm!

Vienna Boylesque Festival

Just when I thought this week can´t get any better, you know with HBF and all, I get some pretty friggin´AWESOME news!!! I have been accepted to perform at the First Annual Vienna Boylesque Festival this March! To make it even MORE special, so has my darling Pepper Sparkles so Thee Dizzy Daisies are well represented :) AND my darlings Sir Willy Waterlily and miss Lola Vanilla are coming, too!!! A proper Finnish delegation haha!
There´s some amazing performers like Tigger!, Russel Bruner and Miss Anne Trophy and they are still announcing more but one of the things that got me (if possible) even more stoked is that I *finally' get to meet my Idol World Famous *BOB*, who is MC´ing the event! Gawd, I had to do 1,5h worth of weight-training tonight just to calm myself down!!! WOOP!!!! Thank you Jacques Patriaque for the honor!

Well, well...

Yeah, so much for the noble idea of posting something every day last week...I was under my own private train ALL week...it felt like I was running behind stuff and never catching up on everything I needed to do. Plus my 40-day yoga challenge started but that´s only a good thing! The only bad about it is that it´s 30km away but it SO is worth the drive <3
Thank goodness I got all the papers corrected duing the weekend, answered the new question they had sent me from Sexpo ( I also volunteer as a sexual councellor for Sexpo-säätiö -foundation for sexual health in Finland)  and answer internet questions, and yes, in case you wonder I have an official training for it) plus got some home chores done that have been bugging me for ages! So productive, yes!
This Friday me, Pepper and the ladies of Holy Curves! will be shaking our tailfeathers at Ravintola Kulttuurikulma in Pori so if you´re on the West Coast do come see us! I´ll probably warm up my festival number (that has not been seen since!) so a little xtra treat for you good people out there :) AND we will be back on the 30th with Sandy, Pepper and Sir Willy Waterlily! So mark your calendars and get ready to rumble!!!
