Happy Anniversary to us!

While we may not have traveled out of town this year like previous years, it was still definitely a fantastic anniversary for the following reasons:
1. We have been married for 3 years and are accepted to the Korea adoptin program!! This is the best gift of all and will be the best gift of all time.
2. An awesome night together! It started of with a 5 course tasting dinner with coordinating wine for each course from La Belle Vie. If you have never been there, go! It is OUT OF THIS WORLD (coming from a foodie who has eaten at great restaurants all over the world, this is my favorite.) Then, we were picked up by a horse drawn carriage for a stroll in Loring park and downtown. We stayed at the Millenium hotel and then had a great breakfast in the morning and off to Art a While in NE Msp. It was great!!! We had a really nice time together and it will be a night to remember.

Understanding Health Issues

As part of the adoption process, we have to complete a checklist of health issues we would accept for a referral. While the health of a child is somewhat known, not all of the possible health issues may be known and some health issues are only seen as a child gets older. We had to resubmit the checklist since we are being accepted to the program and decided it would be a good idea if we got a better understanding from a pediatrician about what the long term prognoses is for a baby born 32 weeks premature for example, or who has had a heart defect that was corrected. etc etc

We realized we would need the help of a pediatrician to really understand. If any of you are in the Eden Prairie area who have a great pediatrician - lets us know! We currently have plans to go to the closest one that seemed to get good reviews online, though prefer to go to someone that we know likes and has good experiences with.

Finally Here

The time has finally arrived...we have been married for 3 years on May 19th and can have our homestudy submitted to the Korea program. We are so excited, though a little nervous to fully emotionally invest after so many ups and downs and after waiting for so long. Our fingers are crossed that all well go well and smooth, though we know better! :)
