Happy New Year!

We had family pictures done in December and we sent out New Year's cards. I always find it nice and easy to NOT send out Christmas cards. I'm not in a rush to get pictures and then make the cards. It's just easy this way. So, I hope you all received our card.

Snow, snow and snow

Ok, so we can all see that I haven't posted in a while. We can also conclude that we are all busy and so I really don't have an excuse. :) I will not go back in time and write new posts. I didn't have time to write them then, I definitely don't have time to write them all now. So, I'll start fresh.

The twins saw and played in snow for the 1st time. OMG, they loved it…heck, we all loved it. We had warm jackets and gloves/mittens, so we were able to play for a while and not get cold. It was so much fun. Unfortunately the snow wasn’t the right consistency to be able to build a snowman…but great for a snowball fight.

Family Snow Day 2015

We celebrated the kids' birthdays this year with family. Nice, relaxing and easy! Jay turned 8 on Dec. 31st and Max and Sophee turned 3 on Nov. 15th.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....or NOT!

Well, we all know it doesn't snow in our part of the state. Ok, Ok, maybe once like years ago and it literally melted before hitting the ground. Anyway, we thought a quick trip to find some snow would be fun for the kids. Of course, being the researcher I am I had Paul find where there would be snow for the weekend. Really, he found a couple cities and they only had a minimal amount. But, we had already bought some 'cold' clothes and planned on it so we decided to head up north anyway.

Just a little walking through rocks and water.

Apparently the sun was in our eyes!

Happy New Year!

Again, I'd like to say we have had some relaxing Holidays this year. I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Jay turns 7

Wow! My baby is now 7! What a joy he is to have in our lives. He is such a great big brother to Max and Sophee and a fantastic son to Paul and me. He gets super stoked for his parties every year, and this year was no different. He thought long and hard on a theme....LEGO'S! Jay loves Lego's. Not just any kind, right now his favorite is Ninjago. You can guess it, it has to do with ninjas....haha, I have no clue. Anyhow, I found lots of Pinterest inspired things to do for his party and we pulled it off.

Treat box with popcorn and treats for the movie.

Candy bar.....that Lego container took us hours!

Finishing up the final touches on his bday cake. Thanks Aunt Samantha!

Everyone was timed and wrapped. It was pretty funny to see them all dizzy after trying to go really fast to get a good time.

Green ninja!

Dinner and a movie.

My attempt at a backdrop for pictures. These 4 have known each other since Jay was 1.

Happy Birthday, Jay!

Jay made everyone a Rainbow Loom as a gift to them.

Cousins acting silly!

Waking up!

Now realizing all the balloons. I love how his tongue is sticking out.

CHRISTMAS!

Everyone knows what an eventful month December is, and it is all exciting and joyful. Our niece/cousin Ava celebrates her birthday on the 6th, my brother Clinton is on the 10th, my birthday is the 25th and Jay celebrates on the 31st. My FAVORITE time of year.

Again, Paul was unable to travel for the Holidays so we got to stay home and relax some more. I am sure the toddlers still don't understand all the lights, presents and baking but they sure enjoyed it. Jay always wanted to do something Christmas related each day, which kept the spirit alive for him. I hope he never stops 'believing'.

Making some reindeer food.

Hopefully the reindeer can lead Santa to our home.

Jay's FAMOUS calculator that he asked Santa for.

Paul's side of the family was able to join us over at our home for Christmas Lunch. We had some yummy chili that Aunt Lisa made and I took the easy route and bought the most yummy tamales from Costco.

My mom, Rae and Dave drove in from CA for the Holidays. It was nice to have my mom there Christmas morning with the kids.
Samantha and Arty invited us over for Christmas dinner. We had a fun time and I didn't have to cook....yes!

Sophee found the Pickle!

And yes, I turned 31!
