It's Wednesday again!! This past week sure went by fast! I guess it's because there were 2 birthdays in our household, TJ's and mine, so we were doing a lot of celebrating (smile).
Today's word art is from Jeremiah 29...
This is one of my favorite scriptures and one I've been leaning on a lot lately. Being a parent of a teenager isn't always easy. We find ourselves having to deal with issues and things we never would have dreamed of years ago. But through it all, I hold on to God's word in Jeremiah 29:11. I know that God has plans for TJ, plans for his future, plans to prosper him and not to harm him. TJ's future is guaranteed by his relationship with God. God wants to bless His children, not harm them. We have to remain open to God's leading in whatever direction He says we should go. When we follow God's leading, we line up with His will, and all the things we are going through are just stepping stones to all the good things He has in store for us.
Supplies:
Imaginisce Patterned Paper & Ribbon
Bazzill Cardstock
Lifestyle Crafts Dies
Gems
Before I go, I'd like to share one more photo with you. The photo on my layout was taken on TJ's birthday and the photo below was on my birthday. The Willow Tree angel I'm holding was TJ's birthday present to me.

Word Art Wednesday #33
Happy Word Art Wednesday!!! This week's word comes from Deuteronomy 32...
For my layout today, I used photos of one of my co-teachers leading our Children's Church class. We teach the younger students who are like new grass or tender plants, eager to absorb God's Word that we shower down on them.
Supplies:
Cosmo Cricket Patterned Paper
Bazzill Cardstock
Ribbon and Buttons from my stash
Lifestyle Crafts Dies

When I read the words of this verse from Deuteronomy 32, a song of Moses, I think about the rain and dew and the effect it has on new grass and tender plants...it nourishes and nurtures and makes them grow, it cleanses and makes everything fresh. So too do the teachings of God, they nourish and nurture our hearts and minds, and enable us to grow to be fruitful in His kingdom.

Word Art Wednesday #32
It's Wednesday!!! Time for some new word art!! This week's word comes from Philippians 4...
My layout today doesn't feature this week's word art. Due to a mix up on my part, I downloaded another week's art and didn't realize it until I was ready to write this blog post. I contemplated creating a quick layout with this week's art, but after corresponding with Karen L., the WAW DT coordinator, and reminding myself that God doesn't make mistakes, I decided to go ahead and share the layout I had done. And as confirmation that this was the scripture I was meant to share this week, I purchased a graduation card for my husband's grand niece today and God led me straight to a card that contained the same verse of scripture I had used on my layout.
Supplies:
Little Yellow Bicycle Patterned Paper and Rub On
Bazzill Cardstock
Tim Holtz Staples
Metal Gems and Studs
Spellbinders Labels 8
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
I'm not sure why I was led to share this word art today. Maybe the message is for me or perhaps for one of you who is tackling a difficult situation right now. No matter whom the word is directly speaking to, let us all be reminded that if we put our trust in God and fully rely on Him, we have nothing to fear.

Word Art Wednesday #31
Happy Wednesday!! It's time for our weekly word art. Today is the first Wednesday of the month, so we have an additional sponsor for this week's challenge, Milk Coffee Digi Stamps. Their design team will be sharing their art with us on the Word Art Wednesday Blog so if you haven't already, be sure to check them out.
Now on to the word, which comes from Ezekiel 36 ...
Sin nature...we're all born with it and no matter how righteous we think we are, how close we are to God, the fact is, we sin...whether by word, thought or deed. But no matter how deep we are in sin, God offers us a fresh start. We must recognize our sin for what it is, repent and ask God for His forgiveness. God will wash our sins away and give us a new heart, a heart for following Him. He will give us a new spirit, His spirit, to transform our heart and mind and enable us to do His will. God extends His mercy to all of us and for that I am truly thankful.
My layout today features hearts. I used a heart digital image from Milk Coffee Digi Stamps as my page embellishment. It was so easy to use. I just resized it to fit my layout, printed it out and colored it. The photo is of my son and I, taken a couple years ago.
Supplies:
Reminisce Patterned Paper
Milk Coffee Digital Stamp
American Crafts Ribbon
Buttons, Gems, Brads, Ribbon Slide
Our Daily Bread Designs Tag Die

ODBD June Scrapbook Challenge
It's time for the June Our Daily Bread Designs Scrapbook Challenge!! Summer is almost here and for a lot of people it means change and or something new--new summer camps, weddings, moving, new vacation spots, etc. So your scrapbook challenge for June is to use the following photo for inspiration along with something 'new' on your page and ODBD stamps! For example, use the colors in the photo, use water, trees, a boat, etc., along with a new embellishment, paper or other product, a new technique or tool...anything new, and your ODBD stamps.
I used the outdoor theme of the photo for the inspiration for my layout but I twisted it a bit and used winter photos instead of summer ones.
The stamps are from the ODBD Bicycle set, which is part of the new June release. I also used a product that is new to me....Flower Soft. Even though it's been on the market for a while, this was my first time trying it. It worked perfectly to create some snow under the bicycle image.
Here's a couple closeups of the stamped images.
Supplies:
ODBD Bicycle Stamp Set
ODBD Peace & Joy Stamp Set
ODBD Snowflake Dies
Echo Park Patterned Paper
American Crafts Ribbon
Flower Soft - Polar White
Gems, Snowflakes
Prismacolor Pencils, Stickles
CTMH & VersaFine Inks
To see all the challenge guidelines and how you can win a $15 gift certificate to the Our Daily Bread Designs store click here. Also be sure to check out Suzanne Czosek's inspiration for this challenge in her blog post here. The challenge runs through Saturday June 30, 6:00 PM EDT.
I hope you decide to join in this challenge. I can't wait to see what you create.

June is a busy month for lots of us… end of school programs, graduations, parties and receptions, the start of summer activities,
birthdays, Father’s Day ...the list goes on and on. A lot
of these activities find a place in our scrapbooks, with the focus on our kids. But what about the men in
our lives? They deserve to be
scrapbooked tooJ. So in honor of Father’s Day, your challenge
for June is to create a scrapbook page featuring a man or men in your
life.
For my layout, I used a photo of the three men in my
life, my Dad, my husband and my son.
This photo was taken underground in a Philadelphia Subway station during
a recent visit home. I used the ODBD Dad stamp set which contains
Grandpa, Dad and Son stamps, along with 2 verses of scripture, perfect for the
men in my life.
