Hello There! MIM, CAS, and Retro!

I have a CAS card to share today!  I had a few moments to play in my crafty space.  I am using some PTI stamps and playing along with this week's Make it Monday.

Now, before you go screaming for the challenge police, I truly did follow the challenge rules.  This is my take on vellum colored flowers.  I am using the Sweet Life roses and dies.  I die cut the vellum flowers, and white card stock leaves. I two stepped stamped the trio of roses using berry sorbet and Memento Love Letter and Ta Da....my vellum flower is colored and detailed in two easy steps!  I played around with vellum leaves or white card stock leaves.  The white card stock leaves won.  Just looked more finished.  I did add a foam circle strategically placed to pop up the whole trio of flower die piece.  Cannot see it at all.

I stamped the red background with the larger of the houndstooth prints in red.  I stamped the berry sorbet panel in the musical score background using berry sorbet ink.  These panels also got a touch of snow white ink edge distressing.  As for the focal image,  I used one of the swirls stamps from Mini Blooms in Spring Moss stamped twice.  I also chose one of the sentiments from this set.  I rounded one corners for added detail as well as added a pinking edge border on the berry sorbet panel.  I am using this week's Retro Sketch #69.

Goodness and Mercy- C4C and More!

Happy Saturday!   It is time for another Crazy 4 Challenge with the Crazies!   Check out the C4C blog for more challenge details with the crazies at Crazy 4 Challenges(C4C176).

Get Negative!
Use the negative portion
of your die on your card

For my card I am using Verve's newly released Surely Goodness stamp set and Verve's Cut Above Goodness Flowers die set.  I decided to keep this card very CAS.  I started with ivory card stock.  I die cut two larger flowers.  I layered the top and bottom portions of the card together and flipped the larger flower image over and inked up the back  of the stamp to stamp and have a solid color background to the flower.  I then flipped the stamp over and inked the outline portion.  I used copics to add some more coloring and finished with some yellow glitter Since these dies have registration holes, I used some strategically place black gems to cover.  I actually only have two registration holes on the card. Some of the gems were just added for continuity.  I stamped a couple of more smaller outline flowers over the scripture in golden yellow.

Check out what the rest of the team did with this week's challenge!

Happy New Year! SSC and MORE!

Happy New Year!  It is time for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  This week we have a gorgeous inspiration picture.  I decided to go all kraft and ivory.  I stamped my beautiful corner image using ODBD Butterfly Corner, Butterfly single, and Butterfly die cut.  The scripture is from ODBD Faith set. I stamped the corner image using vintage cream ink directly to the kraft cardstock and let it dry.  I then stamped vintage cream ink to vellum and let it dry.  The ink portion of the butterfly is underneath.  I think this butterfly is just exquisite.   I added a few gold pearls and considered my card complete.  A very CAS styled card for me, but I really do love it just the way it is.

I entered my card in a few challenges!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC81) and CC285!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC81)! This week Maki Jones is our challenge host. Maki is challenging us to use lace. Whether you have real lace, lace punches, lace paper, or any other type of lacy item, add a bit of elegance to your cards this week with some lace. We would love to see what you create!

This card is also for this week's SCS Color Combo Challenge(CC285)!  Pacific Razzleberry Olives!  Check out the link to find out about the dessert option!  Notice that I added lots of Pacific Point somewhat less of old olive, and just two tiny touches of rich razzleberry.  I always love to play around with color ratios, too.

I am using Flourishes Ferns and Fiddles and Kids Play stamp sets.  This card is CAS for me. I combined it with my "go to" CAS sketch from last summer.  This card is also for today's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Inspiration:  Light and Bright!  Everything from the Pacific Point blue with the couch and the ocean to the two little rich razzleberry butterflies.  Totally light and bright!   I was trying to go for a manly card, but at the last minute I added the rosettes( they are in blue) and butterflies(not very manly).  I did add the lace and velvet combination ribbon.  I added my silver pearls which are a faux metal brad to me. They are metallic.   I think they still could go for manly depending on how they are used.  This complies with The Shabby Tea Rooms #24 metal and inspiration picture.  The colors in that bracelet are very similar, too.  Hmmm.  I am also playing Stamptacular Sunday Challenge!  Twos better than one! This is also for Mark's Finest Papers a Harvest card!  I used ferns and rich regal colors to convey my harvest look!

Check out the other blog team designers to see what they created with lace!

Sometimes Simple is Best! IC233, QFTD10, F4ALL13!

This card is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge(IC233)!  I chose photo #123 as my inspiration with the green and decorative lattice work on the cake. I really thought my basicgray junebug dp worked perfect for the design. I added the flower because I combined my card with this week's SCS Queen for the Day Challenge (QFTD10). The crowned Queen is Deb aka debzi333. I chose this beautiful card from her gallery to case.

Deb has three flowers on her card. I am using the flower from Ippity's spring release set called Now & Always. I just love the assortment of flowers and designs that come in this set. I colored with copics and cut out this flower. I have three flowers like Deb, but I chose to layer mine on top of each other. The sentiment is from Ippity's spring release set called The Simple Things. I tried to keep my card clean and simple. Lots of white space for me! I did add the little bit of piercing in the corners like Deb has on hers as well as a touch of a button in center of my flower! I love how it turned out.

Since I added the little string bow with the button, I figure it complies with yesterday's SCS Free 4All Challenge(F4A13). Buttons and Bows eventhough I did not do anything particularly wow with my button and bow! LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
