Dear you
<body>

the gentle budge

Tonight shall be the last night I sleep in this house, a decade of life in this house abruptly comes to an end.

Everything's packed and good to go. My cupboard and desk are empty, only dust remains on them. After painfully discarding tonnes of toys and nick-nacks accumulated over these years, everything is crammed into 4 boxes. Well, excluding the fish tank, guitars and amp.

The house is littered with these cardboard boxes everywhere, on every level. If I were ten years younger, I'd have made a very entertaining box-maze by now. Now, it just doesn't feel right when I sit in one and pretend I'm flying through space :/ Nahh, I'm too old to play with boxes anymore.

Life has been pretty exciting lately, since the new semester started. THE wedding was great too. The dinner, mmmokay lah. I just have a feeling that I'm gonna be doing things like this again in time to come.. :> And while I'm busy with my little life this week, some people are having fun in Malaysia being at some church camp which I'll miss for the next 6 years too >:( I so wanna be there %#$@*!!

Well it's getting early so now that I've finally updated this blog,

I say goodnight :)

Living for datelines

Update!

Phoo. I finally have a day where there's no homework to be done.

A day all to myself :)

The past 2 weeks have been a killer. There's always something to be done everyday. Drawings, sketches, essays, research.. But the worst part is waking up even earlier on Saturdays for this $@*!% APEL class. So the last 2 weeks have been 6-day-weeks with no time for anything else but work.

At least now I can enjoy my saturday mornings in bed. APEL's overr. Today (technically yesterday) was presentation/submission day for ComDI class and boy did my midnight oil burn the night before. Stupid presentation.

Anyway, today we watched "A Clockwork Orange" in Ideation class :D I love Ideation class, like, totally. The movie was uh.. eye-opening, to say the least.

So I'm just relieved that all the datelines for the first half of the semester are over. It's such a great feeling knowing that I can just waste the day away. Just today though. And I've been guitaring the day away. It was like, come home > guitar > eat, bathe > guitar till now.

Soo yeah. Today is a good day. And tomorrow class starts at 3 :D

Exits & Beginnings

I'm totally beat from orientation camp, which by the way was super! Though we suffered from lack of sleep and very bad eating timings(I survived on chee cheong fan and bananas on the last day) which led to everyone being so "high", it was crazily funnnn. I shan't go into details, but the leaders, group mates, the night at Sentosa, the games and the CHEERS made it an awesome experience! So yeah, thumbs up for TP Design! Wauuaieeeaaaoohhh!#@!! Visual Comm! Wauuugh!!

Today I totally forgot that I had to go back to school for speech day to receive an award. Good thing marcus called me and I managed to rush down in under 10 minutes, phew. So I got an award for "Excellent Academic Performance in Art & Design" :D It was nice to see familiar faces again. Really nice to meet as the graduating batch of 2007. Now that we've graduated, it seems like we're all buddies even though we come from different classes. And 1E4 and 2E4 were just the perfect class, come to think of it. Sigh.

So right now I've hit the end of the bridge between care-free(almost) secondary school and the start of tertiary education. Poly starts proper on Monday, and today's the last time I'll ever be needed in SGSS. Saddening yet exciting, ended but just begun, and hopelessly unavoidable. It's hard to believe that 5 months of holiday is finally over. I only regret not jamming/gigging as much as I had hoped to, and not fishing more often hah. But I guess there's always time for that in the future, just not that soon :/

The holidays for Design are totally different from other schools/polys and I'm gonna miss church camp ARGH >:(

Okay I'm gonna go recover from sleep deficiency now.

I heart St. Gab's :D

Go Gaybrielites!

boy, happy birthday!

Well first thing's first, I'M BACK! Yay.

I didn't get to see much of vietnam though. Most of the time there was spent in the hotel. The air outside was really bad! My throat would begin to hurt just shortly after leaving the hotel. And the traffic was just fantastic. I'm not gonna post about what I did there because.. Uh, just because. The flight back was turbulant just before the plane was about to land. Ugh.. I tried lifting both hands up when the plane dived like you'd do on a roller coaster, but that didn't help.. :D Sadly, I didn't get to take many pictures during my stay in Hanoi, but here are a few that I did snap:

The only picture with me in it haha. Bought waffles from here which weren't very good..

Bikes! Everywhere! There are 10 million bikes like these on the roads of vietnam :D

Shot while in a taxi, edited of course..

TODAY

Today wasn't as special as what others might prefer on their birthdays, but it was great nonetheless. Played bball in the rain with daryl, xuanwen, yen and min! We had all the courts to ourselves haha. Boy, was I cold. And I got "basket-balled" in the face thanks to you darlie :C I'll take that as 17 birthday bashes all in one from you okay? And THANK YOU VERY MUCHOS FOR THE CAKE GUYS! :) But now I've got 2 cakes in the fridge! :O

And now, here's a BIG thanks to all who remembered and wished me a happy birthday! :')

Oh, the funniest just happened tonight. Let's just say I've met friend #2 from Visual Comm who's closer to me then I had known.

Another departure

Okay this blog reaally needs an update.

It's been about 2 weeks since I've returned from Shanghai. Lotsa things have been happening since then but I'm just too darn lazy to post about it here.

ANYway, I'll be flying off later today (it's Sunday 30th now) to Vietnam! I'll be gone for four days, which means I'll be back on the SECOND of APRIL. I'll be assisting my dad on a job. So that makes me his assistant! Again, I don't really feel like leaving ha. I'd rather laze the last few weeks of my holiday away or at least spend the time doing something less demanding. But I guess these are the kind of opportunities that one shouldn't miss. Just go lah.

So to those who may be wondering where I've disappeared to: ..well, now you know. With that, I leave you with my latest aqquired hobby.. Fish-ing!

These goldfish aren't the fish I'm intending to keep. Right now they're just there for the cycling process. Yes, I'm impatient and mean. But they do look nice for $2 feeder fish.. I call that one on the center "Milky" :D

I better get going now, there's not much time to sleep on the 3-hour plane journey later. So till next wednesday.. SEEYA!

Fai ti chao ah

2 more days till I fly back.

:D

There has been major construction work going on around the studio. "Around", as in the surrounding buildings and directly above us. Lotsa drilling, hammering, clunking.. The noise has been really bad, especially when the drilling is directly us. The contractors aren't doing a good job up there- because there are already two big holes in the ceiling cracking through. Drill anymore and someone could fall through. Hehe, that would be kinda funny.

Nothing exciting this week so far. Did some shopping (which I dread).. Watched more DVD's.. Chaota'ed microwave-popcorn.. Oh oh! Microwave-popcorn are so fun to do! :D It just tops the list of microwave entertainment. Just try it. Visited a few guitar shops which got me excited.. Did my very own product shot of Evian mineral water.. Spending time at the retouching side..

Yyyep. I can't wait to return back to SINGAPORE. I miss my guitars terribly, and alltheotherstuff as well.

Fai ti chao ah, fai ti.

Happydays

Yesterday was one of the staffs' birthday. So we had a little celebration in the studio, complete with a cake. Thennn we all went for a steamboat buffet! :D The prawns in the basket were still alive, and they jump when you try to pick one up with your chopsticks hehe. So yeah, dinner was pretty good.

Got trapped in the toilet today :) I was over at the retouching side of the studio, pretty far from the main studio- ulu. Entered the toilet, did my thang, and when I turned and pulled the door knob- *clunk*, it came out. Not totally, but still I couldn't get myself out of there. Stupid doorknob. And unfortunately my phone wasn't with me. I was prepared to bust myself out of there by breaking the glass on the door. Either that, or possibly spend a night there.. But thankfully, it wasn't long till one of the staff came to my rescue haha. That's because that staff was the first victim of the very faulty doorknob :P So now you know: carry your phone on you wherever you go.

I'll be flying back on the 15th next week :/ I wanna go back earlier, actually. Pfft.

It's also been confirmed that I'll be following my dad to Vietnam on the 30th, to be his assistant for a very simple job. It's just for 3 days.. Plus, I'll be getting salary. So why not?

And speaking of salary, I got mine today :D

Yeahhhh.. It's all about celery
