Mothers Day 2011

This was a great Mothers day for me! I was sad that we couldn't celebrate our mom's very well--being out of state and all--but Ryan definitely took great care of me! And the girls helped too!

Ryan made me a fabulous dinner--Spaghetti! It really is my favorite and he always takes good care of me--I LOVE that he is a great cook!
Cute chef eh?
Ryan helped the girls pick out a little present for me--they picked out books for me to read to them--this was such a perfect gift--if you know me at all you know that I'm a major book collector!
Following tradition, Ryan bought me a Nothin' Bundt cake for dessert--they are to die for!
This pic makes me laugh--working with the camera timer--but hey most of us were smiling!
Thanks Ryan for a great day! Love you and the girls so much!

Happy Easter!

This past Easter weekend was great! I spent Friday and Saturday making the girls Easter dresses....Ryan just loved that I was in my craft room all day!;) But my mom called and gave him something to do Saturday....she sent him to the store to buy me flowers! Aren't they gorgeous!?! Thanks Mom and Dad!
I stayed up until about 11:30 Saturday night finishing them. I hung them up on these doorknobs, like my mom used to do for us when I was little, and I was all excited--and after I woke the girls up I could not get Shay to stop yawning! Lexie couldn't open her eyes because it was 'too bright'...LAME!But after they ate breakfast and put their dresses on, they were actually excited about them--good thing too!
Here the girls are in their finished Easter dresses--cute huh? Now, if it wasn't 40 degrees outside they wouldn't have to wear sweaters...oh wells.
Love that they love each other so much!
Me, with my flowers from my parents--aren't they gorgeous?
Since we have church at 8am, the Easter Bunny came a little later--after church. Here's Lexie with her loot and I couldn't get Shay to stand still--she was already hyped up on her candy it seems!
But here's proof that the Easter Bunny did bring her something.
The girls had to find their Easter Eggs because the Easter Bunny was sneaky and wanted them to have some sort of an Easter Egg Hunt. Lexie LOVED it!
So, I really wanted to get a pic of the dress without the sweater--wasn't really happening--but Shay sorta posed for me--here she is trying to hit me with a rock--she missed by the way.:)
Here she was telling me I had a stinky bum.:) Isn't she lovely?
And this is the best pic I had of what her dress looked like! Lexie's is a little different--they had the same fabric but I just switched it around so it looked different...I LOVE how their dresses turned out this year.
Our amazing friends--the Hall's--invited us over for Easter dinner-which was AMAZING(we are so glad we have them!), but I didn't get any pics except this one.
We hung out until about 10pm...Can you tell the girls were tired--they were watching Despicable Me on Ryan's phone--gotta love technology. Anyway, hope yours was as grand as ours! Happy Easter!

Happy 27th to me!

Last Tuesday was my birthday...Yep--I'm old. Or getting there I guess.:) Ryan was sweet and got me some presents, Rumbi for lunch, and he took me to dinner to P.F. Chang's. And just a sidenote--yeah, he bought me tickets to Disneyland! He got a babysitter for the weekend of our anniversary and we are flying into CA and going to Disneyland for 2 days! So, needless to say, my Birthday was pretty AWESOME! Can't wait for May! The girls wanted to sing happy birthday to me, so we did it Rumbi style.:)

So, after lunch we had a HUGE hail storm. All that white on the ground is hail....Lexie wanted to get a pic, so we did!

Here's to another year! I have a feeling it's going to be the best yet!

Our House!

So, we bought a house....a while ago actually. :) Back on Dec. 31, 2010. They are actually building it right now--it's a Richmond American home and it's going to be BEAUTIFUL! Here are some pics we took the day before they started framing:

Obviously, this is it with some of the framing...Isn't my family cute?
This picture is our view from the kitchen window...Isn't it gorgeous? So excited about this!

So, whatcha think? It's been so exciting to stop by every few days to see what's gotten done. It all happens so fast! It's supposed to be finished sometime in June or July....so far it seems to have gone pretty smoothly. I just can't wait for it to be done!

Fun Sunday

A few weeks ago we took a walk on this little nature trail we like to go on--right off Meadows Blvd.--anyway, the girls were feeling very smiley so I snapped some pics.
Before we left--Shay decided that she'd scratched her eye and she cried and cried until Daddy gave in and gave her one. He told her to put it on where it hurt--this is I guess where it did. Doesn't she look funny? She wore this for seriously 3 hours. Can we say dramatic? Can we say hilarious?

And yes, Shay had to use the bathroom--I guess we need to take the camping this summer because Shay has no problem being 'natural'.:)

Funny story: Ryan wanted Lexie to pose for him and he kept telling her to shake her booty--you know, silly things. She put her hands on her hips and says, "Daddy, this is the perfect pose!" And she smiled for me--as you can see! She told him!

It was a fun little walk--hope to have many more of these this summer! We love that Colorado is so beautiful so we can do stuff like this so often!

Trip to Utah--St. Patrick's Day

Ok, Ok, Ok, OK! I know I've been the worst Galbraith blogger ever! I've just been a little busy crafting, but I've repented--seriously;) I am now devoted to my family blog now....sigh.

So, yes, a couple months ago, we hit the road and visited Ryan's family in UT. We had a GREAT time, and here are the pics to prove it!

Here we are, getting ready to drive out!
Had to check out the big hole they dug for our house before we left!
hanging with cousin Molly!
The boys did a little scavanger hunt date for the girls--Ryan made me a card that was a sun--he wrote the song you are my sunshine all over it.:)
All the cousins except baby Elise!
We all got to go visit Grandpa Watkins which was so fun!
We also got to see Trent and Kayla--it was her birthday so we got to help celebrate!
It was St. Patty's Day while we were there and the leprechaun came to visit. He left the girls some lucky charms, and some footprints!:)we also got to hang with Nat And P at their new house--which is beautiful, and enjoy some cousin time.

We did get to see the Romney's for one other day and we shopped and ate and hung out.
yes--this is the loot I came home with--well just the craft loot....it was so so much fun!
