silver for necklaces,

glue for papers.

All You Need Is Love

I begin a new semester of college, after a well-earned, 4 month break, in 8 days.

I thought to myself, "Making some goals would be appropriate."

I made some goals.

I came upon the goal that I believe will encompass any other goal I make.

And I offer this goal to anyone who may read this.

May you love yourself deeply for everything you are.

Go ahead and say it out loud. It's important.

Mercy and Joy

Dear God of second chances and new beginnings, here I am again...


He is a God of second chances and third chances and eleventh chances and however many chances we need.

Our Father and Jesus Christ are patient with our progress. I believe Christ when He says that He can change us. This doesn't mean that there is no effort on our part, but it does mean that the desired result of perfection is a lot more plausible.

Power

I have needed these words this week.

"It's only in the wind that the roots grow strong." --Elder South

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Mark 9:23-24

"Oh, to grace how great a debtor
Daily I'm constrained to be,
Let that grace now like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee." --Come Thou Fount

"Wherefore, be faithful; stand in the office which I have appointed unto you; succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees." D&C 81:5. This can apply to yourself.

"I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Philippians 4:11. I'm glad that I believe in things happening for a reason.

Life is, if not one of the most gentle, one of the most effective teachers.
