Snorkelling Coral Island, Phuket Thailand

After Coral island, while on the way to Racha (Raya) Island, the tour guide let us go for snorkeling, well, to play with the fish. LOL...It was great fun, but too bad I don't have the underwater camera. :(

snorkeling site...

before jumping down.

nice isn't it? The water was crystal clear, and cooling. LOL..

There were a team of divers nearby as well, maybe I should pick up diving one day too. :)

Coral Island, Phuket Thailand

One of the days in Phuket, we booked a full day tour from Groupon to tour around Coral Island and Racha Island on a VIP speedboat. There are many similar deals on Expedia as well.It costed us around RM130 per person, inclusive ground transport and lunch. Not bad huh?

a lot of people, boarding the speedboat.

and there are a lot of speedboats as well!

reached, very nice. :) relaxing. haha..

the beach, kinda short, but it's good enough for most of the beach activities.

very busy seaside..haha..noisy too with all the people screaming and yelling in excitement.

not so lonely speedboat. :)  the water is so clear!

another shot of the seaside, oh they sell all kind of snacks - ice cream, coconut drinks, BBQ chicken wings etc. So do remember to bring some cash. :D

Can't get enough of the photos. hehe..

oh that's me. :P

Next up, Racha (Raya) Island. :D

Holidays to LAS VEGAS?

I know I have just come back from Phuket for holidays, but as I was chatting with friends over the lunch just now, we all want to go for another holiday as soon as possible.

We came out with plenty of choices such as Taiwan, Europe, Korea, Japan, United States or even China. Taiwan and China attracted me the most as I always wanted to visit these two places for the scenery and also the street food.

However one of the friends that were having lunch with us went backpacking around United States before and he started to share with us about his interesting experiences in the states. Even though some of the places were quite costly, but it was worth the experience for him. All of us were so overwhelmed by his experiences particularly the part when he shared about his experiences in Las Vegas. The holidays Vegas were amazing and his sharing changed my perceptions.

I always had the impressions of Las Vegas being a city where gambling and alcohols drinking were the major activities especially at night. However from my friend’s encounters, there were also great food and also interesting places to visit as the city was a very vibrant and dynamic place. Without doubt, the night life was spectacular but it didn’t just revolve around casinos and alcohols, there were plenty of shows and performances being conducted in the city at night as well. Besides, there was a lot of special and good food offered in the city day and night.

After his an hour long of persuasion, we were switching our attention to the States for holidays now! Hope it work out.

Patong Beach, Phuket Island

After started working for so long, finally I get to enjoy my first real vacation! This time around I went to Phuket Island, Thailand just to get some beach fresh air! Even though I work on the sea most of the time, I actually don't get to go to the beach much. :)

First stop, Patong Beach. :D

relaxing...

sunny day! the beach is quite clean.

me, relaxing. hehe... where's my coconut drink?

it was quite relaxing and stress-free by just lying there and watching the world turn around you. :) and oh, sometimes you would see some object flying pass above you! haha...

there were a lot of beach activities going on though, para-sailing was one of them.

getting ready

the worker prepared carefully

then off you go! it was some stranger who was on the para suit, not me. :P

up in the sky!

yay! Patong beach was nice, but Phuket offers more interesting and beautiful places than just Patong Beach! stay tuned! :D

Having Disappeared....

First of all I know it has been super long that I last touched this blog.I was away, travelling for work, also been on the rigs on and off. The new job is taking away a lot of my "free time" but I am glad that I am learning and of course "earning" as well. LOL...Hopefully I will have much more consistent time in updating this blog bit by bit.

Here's some long dued photos that I took in Houston.

the city downtown, quite far away and I took it from the highway. hehe...it looks great from here, but it is actually quite quiet at night. I only passed by at night to visit some restaurants, and I don't really see many pedestrians or shoppers like what we always see in Bukit Bintang area. It was just...quiet. :)

San Jacinto Monument. Probably an hour and half drive away from the down town area. A very historical place to visit, great place of interest for those history lovers and also photographers. :)

That's me, smilling. It was said that the monument is 570ft tall and is 12 ft taller than Washington DC monument.

That's the Texas Battleship, nearby the San Jacinto Monument. It cost around $10 to board the ship. But i chose to just walk around and took pictures of it. I have too much time on the water already. LOL...and oh, ignore the protruding belly please. **shy** I promise will lose that round thing. LOL...

That's all from me for now. Looking forward to next update! ( I hope soon!)

Easter Dinner

It was my first Easter dinner in the US, and it was a great experience for me. I especially like the ham! haha...

even though it was called Easter dinner, but we started at 2pm. The table setting.

the menu of the day. :D

hello bunny!

the main dish of the day, ham! super tasty, i wonder can we find it in Malaysia?

did you see the crackers with the big pot of cheese in the middle? I fell in love with it. LOL...

new dish that I have tasted, the deviled eggs!

didn't smell very good, but quite tasty! and they were served cold, a traditional food it seemed. :D

Hungry? I hope I could taste all the food again! Missing the states now...lol...

American Food

Here's one episode of joke I encountered when I was in the states (Houston, Texas).

American friend: So what do you want to eat for dinner today?
me: well, let's have some american food?
American friend's mother: ok, let's go for KFC then.
me: huh? seriously?
American friend: yeah, that's the only pure american food here.

ok.....haha...we ended us trying the Texas Mexican food though, and it was great! :D

On the sea...

I have been on the sea for 34 days now. Don't worry, i am still sane, but i am sure i am not going for a cruise for my vacation in the future. LOL.

Here are some photos again for your pleasure. LOL...i know it's just sea, but well, i guess the water that passes through is different everyday. hehe...

Just a joke of the day. A friend said to me: " I don't want you to jump down the sea ok? I am afraid you will cause tsunami.". For one second i thought there's some care and concern, but well.... sweat!. hahaha....

Have a good day everyone!
