Happy Halloween , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. Yes its early. But I usually leave it so late that the day has almost passed and I really wanted to have at least one Halloween drawing done before October starts. Still couldn't think of a title lol I want to try to do a few more Halloween drawings so there might be a few more popping up soon :) Prints for Sale here :)

Today's creative space is actually Mr.F's. I have had this really pretty fabric for ages, and need a new bag for my big sketchbook, so he is going to make me another bag. I think its official. He has used my sewing machine more than I have lol :p (he is ill, hence the vicks :p) I did manage to work a bit on my dragons after having to wait around for the cooker repair man to show up to tell us what we already knew. Its broken. No shit. *roll eyes* At least this guy actually ran the tests properly and took the time to see if there was anything wrong with it, so I will give him that (the last guy was a joke). Only a few weeks old and it has never worked properly :/ So another new stove (exchange this one). For more creative spaces, head here :)

Almost done with this Halloween dragon :) Will have to think of a title when its done, always hard to think of a title that fits a finished piece. Naming it Halloween 2011 just seems like cheating :p

I haven't done a word of the week for.... a long time :p The excuse I misplaced my book doesn't really work a year after we've moved :p But I want to start again with the posts, I might even think of a sentence to use the word and video Mr.F saying it sometimes :) This weeks word: 1. stushie

I do only work on it for a few minutes at a time, but I was starting to wonder if it would ever get any bigger. Was about to say "Screw it! Its a really really long scarf" :p This is the rows laid out on the double bed. No wonder its taking forever. Slow going on the wolf, but its because I've been working on my Halloween dragons :).... and killing things playing Fable . Its great stress relief when are having a crappy day lol

I have a lot of drawings on the go at once, I think right now I am only working on 4 but I have been known to work on a dozen at once. It helps when you get bored working on something to be able to switch and work on something else. Sometimes a drawing is just not working for that day and working on some other thing can help a lot when you are frustrated.

Is it ever too early for this day? no :p

Jersery Cliffs For Sale Another drawing done for the Virtual Paintout blog. I really do enjoy looking around and seeing what the car gets a snap of. If I could drive, I would love to have that as a job. Driving around, seeing all kinds of different places and things....then again. Probably best I don't drive. Might crash the camera car :p

Sadly unicorns are not real *sob* so I can't use them for the letter "u". Not many animals start with "u", but here is the Uakari. Finished up the dahlia. And as usual its a pain in the arse to scan anything done on black paper :/ I do really like how the petals look like they are coming out of the shadows, proud that it works well. Its for sale in my Etsy store but for some reason blogger is not letting me link to it grrrr will have to see what I can do about that. I completely forgot that I had ordered a huge sheet of black Stonehenge paper a few months back, nice surprise to come across behind the couch in its box lol I really don't like the white Stonehenge paper, I know a lot of coloured pencil artists swear by it because of how many layers it can take, but that is why I don't like it. 20 layers to get an effect that can be done in half that is pointless. But I really like the black version of the paper. If I was crazy I would do a giant dahlia, but I don't think I have enough prozac for that :p

A new coloured pencil piece, much smaller than the last dahlia, about 5 inches squared. Still needs some shading, but the basics are there. :)

Our backyard... hmm maybe really small fish could live in it :p

oops forgot last week :/ but this week is theme week " something you're afraid of" chosen by Stephanie . hmmm looking at animals that start with "t", I don't think tapeworms would make a nice photo set :p and I'm not really afraid of them, just grossed out. hot dog , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. Sky gave us a huge fright today, started to have a seizure in the park, pretty bad heat stroke and it wasn't even that warm out. We always take water with us, but next time I am bringing 2 litres at least, and if I have to toss it on her to cool her down I will. John carried/ran with her home to put her in the shower, where she stood and didn't leave until she was cooled down. She hates the shower, so that goes to show how hot she was to want to stand there. I felt horrible :( I really have been keeping a sharp eye on her and the heat, since I read that collies are very susceptible to heat stroke due to their double coat. Any worse and it would have been right to the vet, no second thought about that. And now, would never have known anything was wrong with her, but we are keeping an eye on her and no ball games in the park for a few days and even then only when the sun starts to go down.
