Been weeks....no job....rotting like mad. Though Eric rot together oso haha. Last Sunday Eric, Sam Loo and I went down Suntec Convention for Australian Uni convention of sorts. Although there was people aplenty, gathered crowds at each booth; either waiting for their turn to enquire, or hogging up the queue. But nonetheless, me and Eric were really happy to see quite a number of pretty gals there....wahh (goes into a sudden daze... o_O).
Oh yea yea, ahem...about the Australian Uni...yes. Well, we were there mainly to enquire about....wahh....those cute gals [gets smack!! in the eye. cry. (X_p)]
err heh heh...actually we went to Enquire about admission requirements, more about the courses, etc. But it turned out that this convention of sorts had lost its meaning, simply because of the incompetence of those who answered our queries. When we asked about requirements, most mentioned "it is likely a case-by-case basis", or things like "we are not sure about it, you have to check website", and and some stuff like "oh, well diploma graduates would be very difficult, because...." Wah kao eh, this kind of answers and replies? If you hire me part-time job there for a day at any of their booths, without looking through the courses and details, hell I can crap for you a million things that will 'satisfy' your queries to your amusement, or should I say, to your heart's irritation and desire to get the hell out of there ASAP.
So that's why I say this convention is more of 'go there, take brochure, talk to block of wood, get low morale, and go home search net or read brochure/booklets to get your answers' So, what up about the 'get low morale' thingy I just mentioned....you would'nt believe this shat.
(Stands at Uni of Melbourne booth)...Not that I'm skeptical of their teaching methods or doubtful of their reputation, no no, please do not mistake me for that. It's basically the 'biased-approach' they have in getting students to enter their biomed courses. Why do I say that? Ok very easy to answer this question. When we headed to Uni Mel booth, and Sam Loo asked them what were the requirements to get admitted into their biomed science course, a very 'nice, straight-faced lady' asked us about our qualifications, we replied well (and with hopes held high awaiting a positive reply of some kind...if there was) and she gave a final reply...
Lady: "Ohhh, sorry we don't take in diploma graduates, we only allow 'A' level students into our biomed courses."
WOW (where wow in this case does not refer to amazement...but instead represents as : What on 'What the f*kin-freaking stupid shitty shat shat loser arsehole gaylord's hell' was that?!?!?) Thank you.
So she had her friend to give us the reason. Ooooo....ok so we have now an 'expert' to give us the details as to why they put a STOP sign on diploma grads. So his reply was "because for RP there MAY be certain subjects or basics that you have not covered in poly, which is in fact required for our biomed course."
We were like...WTF la, this kind of reason also can. I mean come on la, not all diploma grads are that bad mah, just because they still weigh the 'bias-ness weighing scale' towards 'A' lvl holders thinking that they know EVERY single damn thing about science and biomed stuff in JC to give them enough reason to accept them more readily than us...diploma grads. What a real morale booster for all poly students out there man, seriously. It is such unfair systems that they adopt which does not give poly students like us a single ray of hope or motivation to look forward to further our studies in science or whatever we like. And how do we know if we haven't covered some basics? If not then alot of poly grads would gladly go through the course from scratch la....wth man they say no means no. Loserz for life whoever graduates from this uni sia...heck lor.
Honestly, students of good quality (in reference to the 'poly students genera', not just me ok..) are not cherished and polished bright to see our true abilities, mainly due to narrow-sighted losers like them. Oh, and poly students are more hands-on approach to solving problems ok? 'A' lvlers what they do?...theory theory theory, book book book....not much practical experience like us. If you give them a problem ar, heh heh, you see how the hell they gonna solve it with their 'refer to theory textbook knowledge' experience....they gonna give shit. not that poly students are best, but still, we may be able to handle certain problems issued to us better right? Haiz...
(gulps down water...thirsty after that marathon of words) Ok, I'm not gonna waste anymore energy whining about that loser Uni...because its beneath me to breathe down their necks on something they won't change. Therefore, UWA is still the best, and that goes for the other Aussie Unis, because they don't show that kind of favouritism, since everything else goes through a much 'fairer' selection process.
After going there to waste time on useless answers which you can just get by smoking thru and stuff, me and Eric headed to walk walk since Sam Loo had another appointment. So we walked around. Then saw SAFRA roadshow there. haha I recognised some of my previous colleagues there, but did'nt have the courage to go up to them to say hi. Paiseh la since they working, plus got new faces nver see before. Boss there oso LOL....scared...reminds me of someone i know...moody type one hahaha. ssshhh.
PepperLunch for dinner with Eric, since he hvnt try before. Me long time didnt eat Pepperlunch too. Was great, vely good!! Then went sit at Fountain of Weath there, the place above where you can see peoples messages shown on laser lights. Would be nice to see my name there, and true enough, my name popped up LOL!! although it was someone elses message. Took a snapshot...not taht clear, but nice to see it. How I wished there were dedications to me, or maybe I can make a dedication to someone special in future...hmm.
Back home, tired...log online msn awhile then went to sleep.
