Grandpa's Birthday

Everyone came over here to celebrate Grandpa Day's birthday.  We had a fun celebration and it was the first chance we got to get the babies together (we had a lot of sick people in our house which thankfully Carter didn't get sick during all of that. Kids prayed and prayed for him not to get sick and it was a wonderful blessing that we were able to point out that Heavenly Father listens and answers prayers.) They are 3 days apart but Carter is on the short side and Dallin is on the big side so there looks to be more of a difference than 3 days.

Putting up the Christmas tree

I am thankful for....

I am thankful for family and the time we get to spend with them. I know everyone says that, but I truly am grateful. The love us when we are happy and when we are down and having a bad day.

(We had to take a picture of mom and Carter because his shirt says, "I am thankful for mommy" and then Braxton let me take one of "the boys.")

squeaky clean

Carter's first real bath was on Thanksgiving Day and he loved it. He loved having the warm water poured over  him. The girls were very anxious to help him out.

Busted

Proof that Braxton caves in once in awhile and plays school with McKailey. But only if he is the teacher and he can teach her math.

Random cute pictures I just had to add

This is Carter on November 17th
We LOVE his old man wrinkle face! I think I have only seen it in Braxton and Carter

It's a good thing I have good helpers willing to keep Carter happy so I can take pictures.

Carter 12 days old

It's a good thing I have a patient husband who will join me in some more baby pictures. It's also a good thing that photography is his second job so I can have some fum with some photos :)

I Love You Forever

I have read this book to my kids since they were all really little. I love this book. One day, a couple of years ago, one of the kids wanted to be rocked just like the boy in the picture. So every night after family prayer, Alex and I rock our kids while saying the poem from the book, "I love you forever, I like you for always, As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."
We finally captured it in pictures when Carter joined us for his first family prayer on November 15th.

Our family prayer with Carter. And the picture below I just had to add because of Carter's funny face :)

Carter's newborn and family photos

Another funny story about pictures. Now that we are photographers and see pictures differently, I wanted some really cute newborn photos of Carter. After looking for a newborn photographer, and seeing how I couldn't afford it, Alex let me buy some props and I would take Carter's photos. Once a bought a handful of props, Ester told me about her photographer. She is in Logan but does a fantastic job for a cheap price. (Honestly, I felt bad because by the time she was finished with us- we ended up not paying her much per hour. Since then she has raised her prices (of course) but it was worth the drive. ) So I ended up with props and hiring someone to take Carter's pictures! The best of both worlds :) Kids were super excited as well because while I was getting Carter's pictures done they went horse back riding with Ester's horses. They loved it!

Braxton always has a book he is reading. In this picture it is the "Eragon" series. It didn't take him long at all to finish that series, maybe a month and 1/2.
