Girl's Dance Competition

This last Saturday, the 16th, we drove up to Clearfield High School where the girls dance team competed. They did a good job and had fun doing it. Lots of fun. We were there to watch along with Grandma and Grandpa Day, Brandon, Squeakers, Manny and Addy. They loved having people come and watch them.

This was McKailey's group practicing right before.

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  We woke up early this morning and made green 3-leaf clover pancakes and ate them with some green milk.  Alie had fun helping me make them.

Our week

So this is about some of our activities we did last week. I decided that I want to remember them, despite the good and the bad.
Braxton got in trouble at church (wasn't listening during sacrament meeting) so he had to put the dishes in the dishwasher when he got home. (P.S. the dishwasher was already dirty and there was maybe a handful of dishes to put in.) However, he decided that he didn't want to put the couple of dishes in. As a result, he got another job, sweep the kitchen. Anyways, it went on for a couple of day. (We have been playing this "game" with Braxton on and off for a couple of months now. He does great for a couple of weeks and then has a really bad week. And lets just say that it doesn't matter what punishment you give him or what "toy" you take away- when he gets in one of those moods- it doesn't matter. He could care less!) So I decided to take a picture of Braxton actually cleaning and doing his job from when he got in trouble to prove that Braxton does actually know how to clean. :)

Alie- she was health and happy all day Tuesday. Went to preschool, played at home, etc. Then it was time to leave to go to Harris Elementary where they had Ronald McDonald preforming a magic show and there is a free dinner afterwards. So we were getting ready to leave, she goes potty and then boom. She throws up out of now where. So Alex stayed home with her (and Braxton because he hadn't finished his cleaning by then) and I took McKailey. So Tuesday night was a long one for Alie and Wednesday she still felt yucky and didn't eat. However, she was happy that she got to watch shows on the IPad.

McKailey- She loves to plan the Family Home Evening lesson. I mean she really LOVES to. She does a very good job with them as well. She includes pictures, stories, questions, etc. She always asks Daddy almost every week if she can plan the lesson and then she prepares it days in advance. (I could learn a lesson from her.)

While I had my camera out, McKailey was reading (again) and I decided to take some pictures.

So, it was Thursday and Alex up and decided he wanted to take Braxton camping the next day (his jobs were done by then). Pretty awesome of him. So they left Friday to Grantsville Reservoir.

They went hiking and saw some deer, even a dead deer that the coyotes got to. They followed the coyote's tracks too (since it had snowed over night and they could follow the trail). They slept in the pilot so they didn't have to worry about a tent. They played Missionary Impossible and had a wonderful time.
The girls- while the boys were gone we had a girl's night out party. We went to Cafe Rio (our favorite) for dinner. Then we came home and watched "Dumbo" (of which they had never seen) and played "Life" game. The next day we had a nice breakfast and painted our nails. We had an awesome party too. (I just forgot to take pictures of it.)

Playing outside on the first semi-warm day

It was semi warm (March 2nd) so we kicked the kids outside to play. Alie practiced riding her bike and Alex even took off the training wheels for her to practice a little that way. She was pretty nervous but was brave enough to try it with Dad holding on. Braxton and his friend Jacob used the sled to go down our front yard which still has a ton of snow. Afterwards, he and his friends Jacob and Cannon played Mindcraft which is the game of the year for the elementary kids. I personally don't understand what is so cool about it but all of my kids love it. Braxton is obsessed over it. He tells me what he finds, or mines. He tells me how to play and how he is going to kill the zombies. That is what he always talks about. I enjoy him telling me about it. You can see his brain just thinking of the next thing to tell me about Mindcraft, it's pretty cool. McKailey played with her friends Sydney at her house and our house.  They also rode bikes.(No picture there)

Braxton playing Basketball

Just some shots of Braxton playing basketball before it's over. His tournament is today. Good Luck!

McKailey's Reflection Ceremony

McKailey decided to enter the PTA Reflection's Contest "Magic of a Moment." She recorded a piano song that she made up. She won at Harris Elementary and then went to District. Didn't win there but did an awesome job with it.
