Our dinner conversations

During dinner we were talking about how strong Braxton was getting. So everybody got off the table for a picture to show how strong they are.
This is our entertainment around the dinner table. It cracks me up!

Finger Painting

Braxton, McKailey, and Alex headed back to school after Christmas break which Alie didn't like that idea to much. She followed me around all day while I was cleaning saying, "Mommy, play with me." So, we found a recipe for finger paint and tried it out. She had fun but didn't want to get too messy so there wasn't to much mixing of colors.

Christmas Day 2011

Our Christmas morning was video taped but we did catch a picture after we were done opening presents. Our big family present this year was the X Box and Kinnect. Santa brought them each a game and Mom and Dad bought each kid a game.
After they got their church clothes on, we played one of the dance games before church. (Yes, Braxton fixed his tie before walking out the door.)
After church we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Lopez's house. We ate a big Christmas lunch there and then opened presents.

Kyla and Alie are best buds. They think everything is fun when they are together.
After Grandma and Grandpa Lopez's house we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Days house. We got a family present from them too.....Kinnect games! That is me grabbing the Zumba game and jumping up and down screaming (to bad that wasn't recorded....everything else was). That is also Jessica in the background thinking to herself,"Holy Cow!" (I wasn't exactly quiet.) I LOVE Zumba! We also got the Wipeout and Just Dance 3 game also, (which kids received from Santa earlier that day) so a couple of days later we exchanged those 2 games for an ipod touch for them to share! Can you believe how spoiled they are! They love it! (It was so wonderful when trying to do coupon shopping with Alie. I barely heard her.) ( I will see if we have a picture to post... it might just be recorded.)
It was a perfect day... and not just because of what we got. We spent the whole day with lots of family and we are so grateful for them. We love them all!

Christmas Eve

Madison and McKailey playing
The gym was divided in 1/2 and the boys were able to play soccer together.
Getting together for the white elephant exchange. We got the "Rio" movie and a block of Scentsy.
This night was mostly video taped but it was a wonderful party. It was so much fun to see everyone again. Christmas Eve is my favorite!

Lopez Christmas Party!

Another Christmas tradition that is still alive and well.... Lopez party! We love to party! We went Christmas caroling in the afternoon (it wasn't as cold going earlier which was nice but not as many people were home). Afterwards, we ate a yummy dinner (got to love the food) and acted out the Christmas story. (Sorry no pictures on that either.) Next, we colored in the Christmas book (a tradition since Alex was little, everyone colors one page a year). Then we opened a couple of presents. We always get so spoiled and this year was no exception either.

It;s Tradition,,,,,,

Yep, that's right. The Day Christmas tradition is still alive and not going anywhere. The Day clan comes over to our house where we get started with a big yummy dinner (of course, we love to eat :) ) Then, we make the candy trains, which most of the candy gets ate before it makes it on the plate (let's be honest). (That's what the pictures are of.) Then we get going on a white elephant exchange and then our nice present exchange. (We have been doing a lot of video lately instead of pictures so those are not posted.) It's always such a blast and ends so quickly.

December

Our little McKailey who isn't so little anymore, participated in the Christmas program at school. They practiced at school since beginning of October and they all did very well. McKailey had a little part she said in between songs and was very excited about.

McKailey had her 1st official piano recital in December. She played "Jolly Ol' Saint Nicholas" and " Little Indian Lance." She has been playing the piano off and on since she was 2 years old (not kidding). She has loved the piano and has been so excited that Aunt Christina has been teaching her since April. I have been teaching Aleah tumbling and Aunt Christina has been teaching McKailey piano. I love the trade off! Here's the kids practicing the splits at tumbling.
