First Baby Gift

Today one of my students was so happy I was going to have a baby, she had her mom take her to Target so they could buy me and the baby a book!  What a great gift for a teacher having a baby-a book!

I got home and Ben read it to us.  He is going to be a great Dad!

We loved that a little piece of each page flipped up to reveal the hidden animal!  Such a cute pop-up book!

Day 1, 2 & 3

Not the Summer I was Expecting!

This summer has been different.  I call it my couch and pajama summer.  I didn't go hiking, camping, or get to the gym once.  I barely left my house.  This was not how I was expecting to spend my wonderful work-free summer days!

I have a hundred more photos of me and Beans sleeping together on the couch and in my bed.  That's all we did this summer!

Even Ben joined us for snuggles in the evening after his day's work.

Well I'm happy to say that even though this is not how I wanted my summer to go, there's a pretty significant reason why!  I'm pregnant!  Apparently its a lot harder than I thought to grow a person!

We sent a card to our families that looked like this:

So for our 6 year anniversary today (08/08), we are celebrating us and our growing family!  Yes it has been a hard summer of sickness, but it turns out that this is the summer I was expecting!
