MACY UPDATE

Macy has adjusted pretty well to her younger sister.  I think Macy can tell that someone is here taking attention away from her but she is not reacting in a bad way. She is so far very sweet to Millie!  But she is also very terrible sometimes too. Hitting, not sharing and suddenly incredibly annoying (am I such a bad parent for admitting that?).  I've been trying time out with her, having her sit on a stool - she thinks its a game! But the other day she did something naughty and she turned to me and said "I need to sit on that stool". She went and sat on the stool and we talked about what she did and how she knows how to be kind.  So maybe it's working.

Millie's tininess makes Macy seem SO BIG! My two year old is growing up fast!  I love reading to her right now because her attention span is finally long enough to stick with the whole book. Macy is talking so much and getting smarter everyday.

Some if the stuff she's saying that I'm loving;
"I wike it." (I like it)
"Oh, fanks mom". (Thanks)
When we're finished reading a story she says "The End" and "I wanna read it again" and she does that about three times!.
"Millie's so cute." (She says this a lot throughout the day)
"I wike that baby."
She spun and spun around in circles and said "I'm gettin' busy!"
"Mom, I wan hode you!" (which means I want you to hold me)

Since Millie's arrival Macy is a little clingy to me... Which I sorta love!

MY BIRTHDAY

Andy and I and the girls went out to dinner.  Then I got to go to the grand opening of the new Recycled Consign and Design store and spend the gift card Andy gave me.  I got a pretty sweater and some cool tights. Then Andy had invited some friends over to our house for cake and ice cream. The Ballards, the Gunns, Kimmie, DeAnna and Liz came over. It was way fun!

HALLOWEEN 2012

Halloween was pretty epic. We made matching owl costumes for Macy and Millie. All day, I could not get Macy to eat anything of substance. She is usually such a good eater and loves foods that are good for her.  Not on Halloween! Between our Halloween candy bucket and her excitement to go trick or treat, she just couldn't seem to make time for real food or a nap. That's right - she didn't get a nap that afternoon. Can't you just tell this is all a recipe for disaster? She trick or treated to the houses on our street with Grandma Funderburk and we took her to another house nearby. She was focused on getting chocolate! Next we went to meet up with the Marshall's really fast and this is where things started to unravel.  She went to one house with Karson and Davie. It was a way spooky house (the way it was decorated, etc.) and even I was a little creeped out. Macy started freaking out and refused to go to the door. A fit ensued so we left for Enoch. We had plans to go to a few houses out there with the Chesnuts and have dinner. We didn't even make it onto the freeway and Macy had crashed! Ha! So that was her Halloween. Millie sported her owl costume like a champ but stayed home with Grandma Funderburk so she missed out on all the drama!
