Who Knew?
Thanks to my well-traveled cousin, Maeve, I fell in love with the clothing store Zara which I believe originated in Spain. I don't think you can shop Zara online, but there is a fabulous Zara in Las Vegas which I frequent for great shoes and clothing. Today I stumbled across this gem - Zara Home. Because there isn't a U.S. online store, you would have to pay some pretty hefty shipping charges. At any rate, it is fun to just look and get ideas.

Spring Decor & Paper - FINITO
So I finished my paper and decided to reward myself with a little spring decor home makeover. Nothing major, just a fresh little face-lift. It sure feels nice to have more mild weather. Speaking of my paper, if you want to read it I have posted it on my blog and there is a link to it at the top of the right-hand column or click here.

A day off of work
So, I took today off to work on my paper which is almost done. Feeling like a luxurious housewife, I decided to make something new for Andy and I for lunch: Asian Coleslaw with Chicken. It turned out so pretty and tasted so good, I wanted to share.
ASIAN COLESLAW
1 bag Fresh Express coleslaw (or grate carrots, green &purple cabbage)
6-9 baby peppers, sliced (red, yellow & orange)
2 green onions, sliced
1/4 c chopped cilantro
1/4 c sliced almonds or peanuts
1/3 c Asian Sesame salad dressing
1/2 c chopped grilled chicken
Mix all together & Enjoy - prep time: 5-10 minutes!
Then it was back to the books...aka, the leaning tower of Pisa.

My Renaissance Man
What is your husband's full name?
Patrick Andrew Funderburk
How long have you been married?
6 amazing months
How long did you date?
We dated for 5 months before he proposed and it was 9 months before we got married.
Who eats more sweets?
Both of us. He is more keen to ice cream and I to chocolate.
Who said I love you first?
He did and it was whispered, over the phone :(, but it make me so giddy inside!
How old is he?
30, same as me.
Who is taller?
He is.
Who can sing better?
He can, and I love it when he plays his guitar and sings to me.
Who is smarter?
We are smart in different ways, but he is probably smarter than me (especially with money and decision making).
Who does the laundry?
I do and I am pretty particular about it. He isn't allowed.
Who pays the bills?
I do it for the most part.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
He does.
Who mows the lawn?
Our neighbor boys.
Who cooks dinner?
We both do. He is much more confident in the kitchen than I am, but I would say we make a pretty great team.
Who drives?
He does and I love that.
Who is more stubborn?
Probably me, but we are pretty equal on that one.
Who kissed who first?
That is a good question. It is debatable. I think he kissed me first, but I was putting out all of the signs!
Who proposed?
He did in the most incredible way!
Who has more siblings?
I do.
Who wears the pants?
I probably do.
He is pretty much incredible! His mom hit the nail on the head when she said Andy is a renaissance man. I love you Andy.
Anyone who wants to try this, since Valentines day is tomorrow, go for it!

65 degree weather
Saturday we got away to 65 degree weather. We went to Logandale which is in between Mesquite and Las Vegas. Andy helped his friend Chris wire his sand buggy while his fiance, Julie, and I hung out in the sun. This warm weather was so incredible. I was secretly hoping they wouldn't finish the wiring job and we could go back next weekend. It was such a good time and we can't wait to go back and go boating and sand buggying with them this spring! Oh, can you tell which one is Andy? Andy and Chris look so much alike!

Lost
So, I have recently become a Lost spectator. This really is some great television. Every week I become more hooked and more frustrated about the lack of resolution. In May 2007, it was announced that Lost would continue for its fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons, concluding with the 117th produced episode in May 2010. I don't know if I can wait that long to figure out what really is going on!

BABY SHOWER
Calling all Bingham Ladies:
I want to give you a heads up that we (Glenda & daughters) are doing a baby shower for Maeve on Saturday March 1st at 11 AM at Holly's home in Riverton. Don't worry, you will get an invitation in the mail! I figured I could catch some of you by posting it here so that you can make your plans around it. Spread the word to the non-bloggers. Can't wait to see you all then!
