It was a very Merry Christmas!

Hello All!  And a very Merry (and belated!) Christmas!  And, a Happy 2015!
We have been extremely busy out in these parts celebrating the holidays and just enjoying time together as a family.  We have had Grandma & Grandpa Werkman out visiting with us for the holidays, and currently are enjoying a visit from Grandpa Snider and lots, and lots of curling action at the Continental Cup.  More on that soon as it has been a fabulous couple of days meeting and greeting all of the curlers!!!

But first, a quick Christmas recap.
It was busy, it was fun, it was relaxing, it was entertaining, it was awesome!  We had a fairly chilled out approach to this year's festivities.  Lots of reading, playing games, and visiting.

Christmas dinner was fabulous!  Everyone gathered around for a great feast and lots of laughs.  There were a lot of hockey games and curling on the rink, and lots of time learning how to knit.

Even Bree and Jenna got in on the knitting action!

I am already missing the laid back holiday mode, as getting back into the routines and day to day is always a little tough.  However, that being said, we have a lot (and I mean "a lot") to look forward to this year!  It's going to be an extremely exciting year here!  A trip that has been talked about for a few years is now only about 9 months away!  Plans are underway for a 3 month family world trip that has us visiting many new corners of the globe.  More on this soon, as I will be getting another separate blog up and running specifically for this adventure of a lifetime.  Brent and I also have an upcoming trip (just the two of us) to Peru, thanks to a conference that Brent is involved in.  And I can only imagine what our camping season will look like.  Needless to say, I will be taking full advantage of the outdoors this year, after being sidelined for most of last summer and fall.  So friends, I hope to keep you up to speed on all of the excitement that this year will bring.  Here's to a new year full of adventures!!
