soo. first day of yr 12 today.. i think it's gonna turn out to be one heck of a lot more stress than wat i'm used to. i can just sorta feel the amount of stress that this year is gonna entail. hmmm.. i really dunno how i'm gonna survive. the stress of acheieving the grades that i want to achieve is just really overwhelming. hmmm. i guess i just gotta remember that i've gotta take things bit by bit..
anyway! so i felt super dumb today once i sat in discrete.. just the one thing that my teacher said realllllyy made me re-think whether i should be duin discrete.. then after doing the first exercise of the book.. man!! it's super easy! anyway, the teach was talking about how discrete is one heck of a lot easier than applic.. he said, "between the question and the answer, there's all sorts of things - relationships, formulas and much understanding - it's something that the applic students have... but you don't."! i was honestly appalled. it made me feel SO dumb u noe? like.. dumb that i chose to do discrete. mehhhhhhh.

annywayyyy... i just read steph's site.. u can click here to see. it just reminded me of my absolutely shocking behaviour... lol.. i can live to testify that busting for the toilets makes u do reaaaalllyy weird and sometimes not so gd things.. lol.. we were busting after the skyworks, and were shoving throught the crowd till we got to a merging section.. on the right side of steph n me there was a dude, his wife [? - based upon assumption] and him pushing a pram... i was like.. busting so bad that i was like pulling steph.. but she stopped to give way for them [being the nice one that she is ;)].. i was like... "stepphhh! now is NOT the time to be nice!" lol.. i must've sed it really loud coz the guy looked at me, kept walking in front of me and was like.. "see? it IS the time to be nice..."

so went to the ct today.. just hung.. had lunch, looked at ball dresses.. trish found another nice one... looked reaaaallllyy elegant.. very "special" and very suitable for the ball.. more so than her other one. =p not fair. how cum she can find so many nice ones?? n i still can't find the PERFECT one? grrrrrr. i took a while in strangelove trying to come up with a solution to my ball dress dilema. hahah. i like that whole split design thing... but now i'm favouring going for a halter or a one shoulder strap thing... hmmmmmm.. but i dunno whether it would go with the black/white split thing.. coz that's the one thing that i wanna keeeeeep. it's all so troublesome!! lol.

wow..! the past few days have gone by super quick ey. i think back to the past couple of weeks, and it feels like i've just wasted my time away! i could've done sooo much stuff.. yet.. i haven't. lol.
oh! so saturday, it was the ypg outing! it was at matilda bay, nedlands.. lol.. fun fun fun! hehee.. water games, relays, bbq - basically the works. lol. worse tho, i've still got aches from it! lol. the committee was sooooo meann! made us play this watermelon eating relay game. it was sorta an adaptation of the 3-legged-race. lol. basically, the teams had to go up and down eating a watermelon which sat at the end, each time adding one team member.. lol... i swear eh, by the end of it, my team was sooo bashed. lol. we din even go back to get enoch (hu was the last one)! lol.. was heaps funny tho. jj and shelley kept stackin it. and kat was hurting real bad. i think their legs were tied too tight (oops! my bad! lol. =p) but yeahhh.. the grass was heaps prickly too. lol. annnywayyy.. so after that one, there was.. leader-egg. lol. like leaderball, just with an egg. that was okay.. our egg was indestructible.. hahah. altho nad's team broke an egg.. lol. by the end of the day, it was so hot that it looked fried on the pavement. lol. =p hmmm... after thatt... there was.. oh! dog and bone.. cept with waterbombs in the middle.. lol.. nads and i crashed heads on the last one (where it was a BUCKET of water instead of waterbombs).. loll.. it hurt!! haha.. luckily for me i dun bruise.. but my head still hurts. lol. it was quite funny coz mel, nads and i were all numbered 2.. we got called out twice on our own.. the first time, it ended up in sudden death.. i can't remember who hit who tho.. loll... the second time was the bucket one.. lol. quite funnnnyyy - and painful. hehe. anyway! the last game.. capture the flag.. lol. now that one was tiring.. so much running.. the aim of the game was basically to collect as many flags by stealing from other bases... u could throw waterbombs to make people drop the flag (if u hit them of course.. lol.).. my team was so unfortunate.. lol. our bombs kept rebounding instead of bursting!! lol.. i hit nick twice.. lol and both times they din pop! loll.. we lost miserably... hahaha... but nevertheless, it was still really fun.. hehe.. oh! i've uploaded the photos.. so u can click here to check out the pics. =D anyway. the day ended with a bbq.. gd food. hehe. oh and a piece of "general" knowledge from trish.. did u noe that one burnt chicken wing adds up to 60 cigarettes? hah. quite fun... but yeaahhh.. then there was the medal ceremony and... then the last photo-taking, then clean up!

annywayyy.. so afterwards we got to church to clean up and all.. i was practicing the piano, coz i was playing for service the next day (first time!!) i was soooooooo nervous eyyy.. lol. annywayy.. to make things worse, ken told me that the organist couldn't play.. so i would've had to play by myself.. i was super freakeedd!! lol... i mean, playing for service for the first time is bad enough, but without and organist to cover my mistakes?? that's like.. suicide?? lol. okay.. that's pretty dramatic i noe.. but still! it's bad! sooooo... we finally convinced daryl to play.. so i ended up playing organ (which.. i dun even noe how i knew how to play it...) turned out to be pretty simple tho.. just gotta hold all the notes.. lol. which is pretty hard.. but still easier than playing piano.. and one heck of a less-stress matter than playing piano by myself..! lol. so the service ran 'smoothly' (until the last hymn.. where absolutely NO ONE knew the hymn.. so the singing (which ain't too flash to begin with) was like.. super super super eep.. lol.) yeahh! thennnn... choir practice.. thank gdness my practice throughout the week paid off.. i finally could play the whole thing straight through... with MINIMAL mistakes.. hahaha. i felt sooooo accomplished ey! i was so happy! =D until it got to ypg choir.. we were abt to start, but daryl had an urgent matter to attend to.. so, instead of just standing round waiting.. we started choir.. with ME leading. grrrrrrr... i haatteee it ey. i feel so damn uncomfortable up there. i mean, playing is one thing. but telling people what to sing? and like, just leading the choir in general? gosh, i'd rather go and die. for my 3rd time, i still haven't got accustomed to it yet... and i dun think i did it very well - even tho/if ppl tell me otherwise. it's just really weird. i hate the feeling. i never want to do it again. service is one thing u noe, but like.. i dun think i can serve in a good enough manner to make serving worthwhile. i guess, i just figure that if i know that i can't serve well, then i'd better leave the job to someone else who i noe can do it right.. i dun wanna go screw the choir into the ground, i.e by teaching them the wrong rhythms, melody or something like that. tt'd just make things heaps more difficult. =( let's just say, there's gonna be a whole long way till i'll be ready to do it right.

annywayyy.. so afterwards we got to church to clean up and all.. i was practicing the piano, coz i was playing for service the next day (first time!!) i was soooooooo nervous eyyy.. lol. annywayy.. to make things worse, ken told me that the organist couldn't play.. so i would've had to play by myself.. i was super freakeedd!! lol... i mean, playing for service for the first time is bad enough, but without and organist to cover my mistakes?? that's like.. suicide?? lol. okay.. that's pretty dramatic i noe.. but still! it's bad! sooooo... we finally convinced daryl to play.. so i ended up playing organ (which.. i dun even noe how i knew how to play it...) turned out to be pretty simple tho.. just gotta hold all the notes.. lol. which is pretty hard.. but still easier than playing piano.. and one heck of a less-stress matter than playing piano by myself..! lol. so the service ran 'smoothly' (until the last hymn.. where absolutely NO ONE knew the hymn.. so the singing (which ain't too flash to begin with) was like.. super super super eep.. lol.) yeahh! thennnn... choir practice.. thank gdness my practice throughout the week paid off.. i finally could play the whole thing straight through... with MINIMAL mistakes.. hahaha. i felt sooooo accomplished ey! i was so happy! =D until it got to ypg choir.. we were abt to start, but daryl had an urgent matter to attend to.. so, instead of just standing round waiting.. we started choir.. with ME leading. grrrrrrr... i haatteee it ey. i feel so damn uncomfortable up there. i mean, playing is one thing. but telling people what to sing? and like, just leading the choir in general? gosh, i'd rather go and die. for my 3rd time, i still haven't got accustomed to it yet... and i dun think i did it very well - even tho/if ppl tell me otherwise. it's just really weird. i hate the feeling. i never want to do it again. service is one thing u noe, but like.. i dun think i can serve in a good enough manner to make serving worthwhile. i guess, i just figure that if i know that i can't serve well, then i'd better leave the job to someone else who i noe can do it right.. i dun wanna go screw the choir into the ground, i.e by teaching them the wrong rhythms, melody or something like that. tt'd just make things heaps more difficult. =( let's just say, there's gonna be a whole long way till i'll be ready to do it right.

annyway! so last night.. went out with trish, nads, jas, lassie and nad's fren julia.. trish half co-erced me into going.. just coz i din wanna live up to my name as a bailer.. lol. SO. i went. and yep, it was confirmed. that whole dance thing ain't my thing. i'd rather do somethin more 'organised'.. maybe one day i might try ballroom dancing.. it could be fun..heheh. =p but yeaaaahhhh... so afterwards, nad's sister picked us up and dropped us off at trish's place where we spent the night.. chtting, catching up.. we watched white chicks. hahhhh. then like, the first 1/2 hour of my best friends wedding (nooo! *falls on knees* din get to listen to michael sing THE song! haha. i made up for it tho coz now i'm listening to westlife sing it. =p i loooooveee that song. =D) but yeahhh.. we ended up sleeping at 6.. so much for going out and getting macas brekkie.. lol. we all slept in, except for lassie who had to leave earlier to go to her chem thing.. by the time we woke up, macas brekkie had finished.. so we settled for burgers (or a roll in nads case) and fries. i felt soooooo sick afterwards eh. was really really bad. annyway. so yeah. after shopping a bit, we walked bak to trish's place. then left for home.
so in the midst of all that walking, i got sunburnt!! lol.. was just walking arnd warwick suburbia and now i have a may-jor case of tan lines on my shoulders.. grrrrrrrr. annnywwaayyyyy.. i think that as soon as i replied mel's post on the chatterboard by describing my driving as "relatively smooth" - i jinxed myself. lol. coz i had my lesson today.. (was seriously not wise considering how last nite went - i'll get into that later).. and i stalled twice and once almost-stall... loll... once at the traffic lights (in the MIDDLE of a main road junction.. i panicked like hell ay.. lol. and it definately wasn't funny at the time.. heck i even made my instructor twitch! lol.) thennn... the other time was just wen i was turning a corner... it was a stop sign. and i accidently let go of the clutch without tapping the accelerator... oops! hahaha.. the almost time was the most freakiest tho.. it was in the middle of a round-a-bout..! lol... =p that was the scary one. so yeah. driving today was kinda bumpy. partially coz i was half asleep.. i mean, with 4 hours sleep.. it's not good to try and learn something.. esp something like driving. loll.. oooh! my instructor sed another funny thing tho.. he asked me abt s'pore, and how often i go back.. then he asked me bout eating durians.. lol.. i was like.. "ewwwwww!!!! durians are G-R-O-S-S!!" lol.. then he was like. "you don't know wat you're missing out!" lol.. we argued a bit abt it.. then i was approaching a round-a-bout... when like, i dropped into gear, and was going round it.. but then wen i was exiting it and accelerating again, i couldn't get the gear stick into 3rd gear... it slipped so upon "reflex" (not really reflex but i can't think of the word atm).. i sed "aiyoh!".. lol. dennis was like.. "HEY. if u're not singaporean enough to eat durian, don't use the singaporean slang!" in his half yelling half joking tone.. lol. whooops! it just came out of nowhere. lol. i gez u really had to be there to know how funny it was. lol. i couldn't stop laughing. but yeeeaahhhhhhh...

so yesterday was ice skating! we went to mirabooka square first tho.. did a lil bit of shopping.. then caught lunch.. took us FOREVER to decide what tho.. lol. sooo.. we then walked to the rink... skated for a while.. i tried using my free passes.. hahahaha... it's SO outdated.. the lady was like. "these don't last forever you know, we can't accept them now.. it's from 2001! it's 2005 now! i don't THINK so!" lol.. i was like.. "whooopps".. hahaha.. figured i might'swell give it a try eh? annywayy.. so now it's 15 bucks.. luckily for me i got skates, so only 10..
haha. got 2 blisters too. hadn't skated since s'pore (in their WAY midget rink)... surprisingly it was quite empty.. but yeahh.. i felt heaps rusty skating.. trish and nads were heaps funny tho.. trish is heaps good now! hahahaha.. finally had my lesson.. whoohooo!! i can drive a manual car! hahaha. okay, so it was my first lesson, but i'm gettin the hang of it! =) still dunno if manual's my thing tho... but at least i can do it.. it's all takin a lil bit of gettin used to. ;)
annywayyy.. i feel like.. reaaallllyyy good now... number 1, the parentals have eased off coz i've finally gotten off my butt to do some housework.. hahaha.. i cleaned more last night than i've cleaned like.. the whole of last year!! i vacuumed my room, parents room, hallway, family room, kitchen.. then mopped the kitchen.. then i cleared the family room and the kitchen! ooh. i kept both lots of clothes too. and i cleared and washed the dishes. =D *super grinz*!!! =D suprisingly, cleaning makes u feel really really accomplished.. hahahah... =) then the second thing was of course the driving.. i told my instructor that i was scared.. and he completely laughed it off! lol. he's sooooo funny tho.. but apparently he re-uses his jokes, coz i told rach.. and she sed that he used them on her too! like one that i fully cakked myself was wen i was about to turn the corner (which i really suck at doing...) and there was a guy (a NOT good looking guy okay..) who was walking along the road.. my instructor was like *semi-loud-voice-almost-yelling-just-minus-the-anger-part* "don't look at the guy!! look at the road!!!" heahaehehe... i fulllllyyy cakked myself... then i told him not to make me laugh, coz my hands kept shaking from laughter.. lol... was sooo funny... then wen i finally reached home he was joking arnd and was like "pay me and get out" *spoken really fast*.. lol.. such a funny guy. =p dennis.. hahah. i refuse to use his name to call him tho, coz i hafta call him uncle dennis (he's old).. but he hates it. gives me the evils then says that he's not an uncle.. it's like. SOMEONE'S in denial.. lol. heck he's been teaching driving for 17 years. but he's good. i'll grant him that. lol. =p

well! so today (yesterday really, seeing that i's 1:34 am atm) the ypg went to regent gardens (my mum's workplace - which is more like a hotel like resort rather than a nursing home)... to minister to the old folks and just sing with them and stuff... it was actually quite gd! the high care pplz were friendly.. funny at times too.. there was one lady, who was talking while steph was talking.. and the lady in front of her was like "ruby.. shut up!!" lol.. just imagine, these ladies were like. 80?? hahahaha... it was soooo funny... the lady who told the other to shut up din even turn arnd to look at her.. i cakked myself... annnyywaayy!! just thought i'd share some pics. haha. =)

ooookieee.. been a little while since i last posted.. but nyeh.. even though it's holidays, i've still managed to find stuff to fill my time! but yet, the holidays still feel like i've wasted them... so with only a couple of weeks left, i'm actually looking forward to skl! year 12! woohoo. lol. =p hard work.. looks like its head down bum up for this year...
so just got home from sooks place... hahaha. was dry swimming... =p came up with a scoring system.. so even the person who gets the combo might not win with da points.. its a whole "championship" concept... lol.. truly dedicate freakkssss.. hehehe. =D *grinz* only bad thing tho is that i'm fully tired... coz apart from yu, i'm the only one who can score (coz i came up with the system).. and it actually requires ADDING! which since i'm mathamatically declined, my brain is absolutely FRIED!!! i feel so mentally exhausted... BUT! i've still got the energy to watch the OC.. hahahah. steph downloaded episodes from season 2... muahahahaha. yay! there's another addiction for ya. lol.
it must be the whole "making" season again.. coz nowadays (well.. for the past week anyway), everytime i get home from somewhere, i feel like making or baking something.. tonight, it's scones (prob coz i was tokkin bout it with lioney yesterday.. =p).. last night it was sushi. haha. brought it to sooks place as an "entree" to our spag bol.. nyehhh.. chilli mussels would've been much much much suitable... taste-wise i mean.. but yeahhhhh.. i really feel like baking scones now! lol. i think i'll cook laksa tm.. heeeeh. =D *super-grin*

i found a picture!! hahahahahah. this is the dress that i can only DREAM of owning. lol. normally.. i wouldn't been so "ahhh" over a dress. but this is seriously an exception.. i tried it on today (after going into the shop everytime i passed it.. too afraid to try it on).. and it fit SOOOO good!!!! i totally LOVE the idea of the black and white thing.. esp with the white split.. =D totally my thing!!! reaalllyyyy.. i really really really really really want the dress ey... buttt... it's got swarovski jewels on it.. and its $549... =( WAY over my budget.. so hmmmmmmmm. it's not likely i can buy it. gonna try find someone to tailor make it.. *keeps my fingers crossed*

weeeelll... this year's new year's was definately an improvement from last yrs! lol. let's just say it was sooooo gd to be home this yr!
anyway, to start off the evening.. we had the watchnight service in church.. which was moved from the usual 10:45pm to the more appropriate 8.00pm... this meant that even though the testimonies ran for 2 WHOLE HOURS, we still got to check out the fireworks (without jumping onto the roof of the church this time round... =p) afterwards! =D it was really funny though.. because wen the testimonies were first called out, no one went up! then rach reluctantly went up and gave hers.. haha. then she called all us young pplz to go up there to sing "i will choose Christ" and "Lord, reign in me".. =D hahaha. funnn songs.. even though the first one is like u're bein squealed (i.e singing 10 times TOO HIGH!) and the second like u're hording (i.e singing 10 times TOO LOW!) hehehe. but anyhow, it was fun! oooh. tt's right.. the night b4 we had a "gathering" at chris's/steph's place.. hahaha. after dinner.. MONOPOLY!! hahhaa... with steph and i as the successors. =D but yeeeeeeep. chris also shared with us some 3 points about abiding in Christ.. very very true!! hehehe.. annnywayyy. back to new year's eve.. so after the watchnight service... we had supper.. including the very very dee-leeeesh siew mai that my mum made (with my help!! hahaa.. =p) thheeeenn... at that time it was only a few minutes to 12, so we went to the church carpark to try and see the fireworks.. haha.. yeeeep. we saw them! they were preeeety gd! hehehe. i looovvee those shooting-star ones.. can't really explain them more than that.. but their gold/white-ish.. lol. they're beeaauuttiffull... hehehe. =D annywayyy.. so after the fireworks, and after the bazzillion new year's hugs all round, we headed to sook's place for our "G-N-O" even though ken, daryl and nick were there.. hahaha. bassicallyy.. we went to play another round of monopoly.. this time without the 3 boys (cheng, lei and john - who got their butts kicked the night b4..) hahaha. but yeeeeepp.. so we played.. and played.. and played.. and played.. lol. steph and i were a team agen.. and we were on a roll!! untill.. rach and mish got park lane.. lol. which meant that we couldn't build! nyeeehhh.. so the game got pretty boring there.. and steph decided that she wanted to play 'ping-pong' more than monops soooo.. she tried to sabotage our game!! hahaha.. jkz jkz.. nahhh. not really.. but steph and i virtually did give up.. so we ended up losing to rach and mish, giving them all our properties (which were like.. A LOT!!!) sooooo... rach and mish kicked shelley and yu's butt.. lol. =p they lost miserably.. lol. annyyywayyy.. so with the round of monops over.. we.... played MAHJONG!!! and now we're all addicted... hahahaha. we played for ageeesss.. lol. shelley, yu and i lasted until 8 in the morning!!! hahaha.. rach, steph and sooks surrendered at bout 6 ish.. hahaha.. it was waaayyyy fun.. hahaha.. we all plan to go "dry swimming" again in the very near future.. hahaha. so yeep. we slept at 8... then woke up later at bout 1.. lol. we all got really hungry.. so we decided on lunch... KFC (which made me feel reealllyy sick afterwards).. THEN after lunch and half on beautician and the beast, we went to church to clean... and that's pretty much how the day ended!

MONOPOLY!! hahhaa... with steph and i as the successors. =D but yeeeeeeep. chris also shared with us some 3 points about abiding in Christ.. very very true!! hehehe.. annnywayyy. back to new year's eve.. so after the watchnight service... we had supper.. including the very very dee-leeeesh siew mai that my mum made (with my help!! hahaa.. =p) thheeeenn... at that time it was only a few minutes to 12, so we went to the church carpark to try and see the fireworks.. haha.. yeeeep. we saw them! they were preeeety gd! hehehe. i looovvee those shooting-star ones.. can't really explain them more than that.. but their gold/white-ish.. lol. they're beeaauuttiffull... hehehe. =D annywayyy.. so after the fireworks, and after the bazzillion new year's hugs all round, we headed to sook's place for our "G-N-O" even though ken, daryl and nick were there.. hahaha. bassicallyy.. we went to play another round of monopoly.. this time without the 3 boys (cheng, lei and john - who got their butts kicked the night b4..) hahaha. but yeeeeepp.. so we played.. and played.. and played.. and played.. lol. steph and i were a team agen.. and we were on a roll!! untill.. rach and mish got park lane.. lol. which meant that we couldn't build! nyeeehhh.. so the game got pretty boring there.. and steph decided that she wanted to play 'ping-pong' more than monops soooo.. she tried to sabotage our game!! hahaha.. jkz jkz.. nahhh. not really.. but steph and i virtually did give up.. so we ended up losing to rach and mish, giving them all our properties (which were like.. A LOT!!!) sooooo... rach and mish kicked shelley and yu's butt.. lol. =p they lost miserably.. lol. annyyywayyy.. so with the round of monops over.. we.... played MAHJONG!!! and now we're all addicted... hahahaha. we played for ageeesss.. lol. shelley, yu and i lasted until 8 in the morning!!! hahaha.. rach, steph and sooks surrendered at bout 6 ish.. hahaha.. it was waaayyyy fun.. hahaha.. we all plan to go "dry swimming" again in the very near future.. hahaha. so yeep. we slept at 8... then woke up later at bout 1.. lol. we all got really hungry.. so we decided on lunch... KFC (which made me feel reealllyy sick afterwards).. THEN after lunch and half on beautician and the beast, we went to church to clean... and that's pretty much how the day ended!
eventful huh? hahaha. no.. not really.. but it was just one heck of a lot better than last yr's! lol. =p once again.. it's terribly appropriate for me to say that nothing is as sweet as being home. =D
