Korea Trip Day 7,8

Day 7 - 24 Dec 2009
Shopping shopping and shopping. We went back down to Seoul. We had western breakfast at the resort. It snowed that night, so everywhere was snow. At last, a White Xmas Eve. Back in Seoul we had a shopping spree, first was SinCheon Women Street then it was Daidoman. 5 hours of shopping wasn't enough, but we had to go on with the tour to Lotte World. Lotte world was like a Mini Disneyland or a Genting look alike. There was actually a Disneyland castle, it looked like one to me. There were all the theme parks game, roller coaster, arcade food stalls.

Lunch was Duck. Think the last meal was still the best. As long it is not pork, everything is good. Although it was duck shabu shabu, but yum.. Lunch was fantastic.

We spend Xmas eve separated, sad to say, because we could not find each other. It was just Mom and me, while Aunty, Fion and Feli was missing. And to say we were supposedly to have a nice Xmas Eve Dinner, we ended up with sandwich and cup noodle.

On the way to Lotte World, there was this massive traffic jam. And to say, we ran away from the busy hectic KL to Korea, trying to avoid the jams, but Korea traffic was really bad during the eve. Every single road was flooded with cars, all i see out the windows was the brake lights. Got to admit, we were surprised, because i only expected KL to have such bad jams....

Day 8 - 25 Dec 2009
Xmas shopping spree again. We went to the shopping mart again. This time we went crazy, we bought 3 boxes of FOOD, and only FOOD. We didn't managed to buy much stuff throughout this trip, because everything was such in a rush, but that's what going on a tour feels like.

We headed to the airport at 12pm. This time lunch was... fast food and Korean food. The others took fast food but i decided to have one last try on Korean food, and I decided i get better Korean food in Malaysia, or maybe its because I get MSG here in Malaysia. :p

Korea Trip Day 5,6

Day 5 - 22 Dec 2009
It was a really really early morning, we woke up at 6.30am which is 5.30am local time. We flew back to Gimpo and was heading for Mt Sorak. It was a 3 hour journey from the airport. Lunch was pork and shabu shabu again. There was seaweed soup too. Luckily we ate something at the rest area before lunch. So however bad lunch was, we will survive. And pork with shabu shabu was becoming an icon for Korea as every meal was just pork + shabu shabu. ><

On the way up to the mountain, we stopped by the temple, more like a Buddha status, the biggest in Korea. After the long walk to see a statue, we ended up at a teddy bear farm. It was a rather small museum of teddy bears, but it was nicely done. I was amazed with the decoration. They explain every scene with just teddy's, but it was like Teddy's Land.

Dinner was great. It was seafood shabu shabu with fried fish. No pork, yippee. Even the side dishes was delicious. They even served sweet potato, not to my liking, but everyone enjoyed it. The waiter was really friendly and he understood what we were talking or asking for. Another culture shock from this trip was that a minority of Koreans do not understand English at all, while a majority knows just a little. We met some whom spoke Canto and Mandarin but those are like duty free area, where they were to sell duty free products. Otherwise, normal places, there were hardly a handful whom could speak fluent English, Chinese or Cantonese. But they are learning, as they know how to speak certain words. According to the guide, he mentioned that only the younger generations learn English, while the Elderly are less exposed. He even told us, there were some Elderly that was born when the Japanese conquered Korea, could only speak Japanese, as they were forced to learn Japanese only. Then we reached Kensington Hotel. It was really special was the rooms were the Old Era Rooms. There were tatami's plus a bed, and the heater was actually from the floor. It was like living in those Old Korean houses. Nice place, but the only bad part was they didnt provide a bath towel, but only face towel. So we were stranded with just two face towel each for bathing. It was a trend in Korea, where they only provide face towel in hotels instead of bath towel - those older hotels.

Day 6 - 23 Dec 2009

Ski Time. The whole day was just ski ski and ski. I had a bruise from the fall. Ski-ing aint hard, but walking up the slope with your ski equipment was. You have to talk sideways like a crab. If you try walking straight up the slope with your equipments - Skis, you will only end up ski-ing down the slope. But I managed to learn how to ski, brake and turn. Lunch was on our own, thank godness. I had instant noodle for lunch, but it was really nice. I'm not much of a fan of instant noodle, but i needed some change from the usual menu. Lunch had dessert this time - ice cream. It was cold outside, but eating ice cream during winters is really nice. I actually ate ice cream 4 times in this trip, more than my usual diet. Dinner was the best. We went to this restaurant where we were required to sit on the floor, the Korean way, and we had BBQ pork. The food was tasty, but it was pork again. For the night we stayed in a ski apartment. My mom and aunty stole the bed, so we 'kids' were on the couch and floor with tatami.

Korea Trip Day 3, 4

Day 3 - 20 Dec 2009
We started out with the Palace, which was rather similar to the Chinese. According to the guide, the Koreans are rather influenced by the Chinese, their language, food and even the traditions has some similarities, as last time Korea was under China, hopefully im getting my facts right. Then we headed for a place where they showed the ancient houses, like what is shown on the movie - Da Chang Jing, where different houses actually represent the status of a family. Then it was lunch time, it was considered nice then, serving was Hot Stone Bimbimbap - vege only and Pork shabu shabu again. The hot stone was the main, while the shabu shabu was just a side dish.

Next up was Kimchi school. It was a rough briefing on how Kimchi was made, and we actually got some hands on, making Kimchi Bao Choi, which was really simple, spreading the sauce on the vegetable. Then they gave us the traditional clothes, Hanboks to wear and we snapped some photos. Around 4pm, we went to the Gimpo airport and flew to Jeju Island. We headed for dinner. I do not remember what was for dinner, but since i didnt take a photo, it means it was shabu shabu and pork again.

Day 4 - 21 Dec 2009
We had porridge for breakfast. It was rather blah but it was a changed. Then we headed for this scenery place, with a general and lady like stone near the seaside. Then we headed for the waterfalls, we didnt swim in it, it was just a scenery tour. Then we went to this Min Zhu Chun - Folks Kampung to see the lifestyle of the Korean Folks. It was rather similar to the ancient houses we saw on Day 3 but this was real and there were people staying there. Jeju island has a trend or Jeju is famous for 3 Have's and 3 Don't Have's; Have's : Wind, Women and Rocks; Don't Have's : Beggars, Theifs and (I don't remember).

Guess what for lunch, shabu shabu and pork again. But there was a difference with the normal meal though, the pork was actually black wild boars. Next was another scenery tour, mountain climbing to see Jeju Island from high up above. It was a 20 minutes walk, but it was worth the walk. Then we went to see the orange farm and some Mermaid cum Dragon like stone near the seaside again. Then dinner was a change, with curry fish, except the curry is not spicy. Dinner was really really lousy, and we were starting to be getting sick of the meal provided.

Korea Trip Day 1,2

Day 1 - 18 Dec 2009
Boarding the plane to Korea.

Day 2 - 19 Dec 2009
Reached Korea at approximately 7:00am Malaysia time, 8am Korea time. One step out of the airport and we started to freeze. It was -3C, if i'm not wrong, and it's our first time on a winter trip. Our first stop was Seoul city. There were two ways to go to the city from Incheon airport: land and water. We took the boat across to the city, actually it was more like a ferry, and the bus boarded the ferry with us on it. It was like the ferry used in Langkawi. We went up to the second floor of the ferry, grab a drink, snap some photos. The scenery from there was beautiful, there were birds - seagulls (i think) flying around the ferry which was really nice. But the photos of me were horrible, i was dressed like an Eskimo. Into Seoul city, we headed for their War Museum, which was something like our Tugu Negara. The tour guide started to explain to us about the war between Korea and the US. I am not too sure about the details as the tour guide was talking in Cantonese, and my Cantonese which i once considered quite good, is half plus six. I had some trouble understanding what he was saying as he was actually a HongKee whom stayed in Korea for 20 years, so his way of speaking differs from ours. The museum was rather small, there was figurines and statues of the people and weapons from the war, the war between North and South Korea. The guy i remember out of his long story was Douglas MacArthur.

We headed for lunch next. We had Ginseng Chicken soup. The ginseng was really soup, and the chicken soup was more like chicken soaked in water. Differing from the Chinese way, the way they cooked chicken soup, was put all the stuffings, the herbs and rice into the chicken, and boil the chicken, as opposed to ours, which we put everything into the soup to boil. The Chinese way is better as the soup becomes really tasty. The first taste of the Korean Chicken soup was rather blend, as everything wrapped into chicken and you are to cut open the chicken to eat. According to the tour guide, it was because last time in Korea, the ginseng are only allowed for the King, so the ginseng farmers who kept some hidden stash for their own tasting had to eat it discreetly as they get be punished for stealing the ginseng, so what they do is put the ginseng with the herbs with rice into the chicken. It was a smart move, I started to search for the ginseng and it was actually quite hard to find it as the rice was like glutinous rice, rather sticky and the ginseng is wrapped inside it. The next stop was a CAR museum. There was like hundreds of cars inside that museum: Merc, Beemer, Ferrari, Rolls Royce.... One word WOW.

Talking about wow, there was one thing that it was most shocking, culture shock. The last stop of the day was Spa Greenland. The place was beautiful. The shocking part was when we stepped into the changing room, or the spa room. We saw many women... without a single cloth on them. They were walking around like it was normal, but for us Malaysian, it was rather awkward and embarrassing. I felt rather weird looking at them. I didnt strip this time as it was the time of the month, but the rest took quite a long time to be ready for the spa, which is strip strip and strip only. There was also a swimming pool and a sauna place in this place. It was a rather decent place, as the Korean actually come in a family for these spa trips. They have a common area where i see many Korean families lying down on the floor watching this huge TV, sleeping or having a nice hot Sauna, which is 68C. Then there was this few special places where people can soak themselves or their leg only outside in the open air, and all they wear is a shirt and pants or their swim suit. We tried the leg soaking, but we only lasted for a minute, as it was freaking cold outside, and a shirt and pants was seriously useless. Think it was below 0C that time, and there was ice everywhere. Dinner was a nice pork shabu shabu. Hot food in a cold weather was heavenly, and we enjoyed the meal but that was just the starting of the nightmare.

Dec 2009

Last post September, and its December now. I must have been really busy for the past 3 months. But i think all Mechatronics will agree with me. This sem flew past rather fast, without realising it, its already the finals and even now the finals is over and results are coming out *gasp*. So dead, think i screwed up badly for this test.

Well, at last its the holiday, everything is over and i can chill-lax now. It has been a busy half year, and this break is much needed, i was really looking forward for it; more like desperately in need of it.

Although im doing an internship now, its not so hectic anymore, although i feel the working stress - which i really hate. ><>

*Hoping all ends well. 2 more days to go

Sometimes i wonder, do i really overestimate my capabilities? Am i doing things i know i cant or wont be able to handle/ juggle, yet im just doing it because i really want to, without taking into account the fact that I am just a normal person who has many limitations. And after all of it, everything will just be in a mess, instead of getting the best out of both...

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Last Friday, we had an internship briefing. Sunway was invited to give a short briefing on their recruitment of Monash students. The GM of HR said these sentences, "Malaysian likes to travel so far, they never appreciate or like anything near to their place. They like to go AFomosa in Malacca then go to Sunway Lagoon, they are suckers for distance." I experienced it myself today. We had a trip down to Serdang for Claypot Fish when there is so much good food in KL. Does the traveling the so much more extra distance make the food more delicious or is just all the mind? Hmm... Personally? The food there is nicer. :)

Some dreams are just so much sorrow and filled with anger. I hate these dreams in some way, but somehow would like to have it. Maybe this is the only way where i can get into contact with you.

Bad bad day

Another bad day to add to the memory.

It started out with a group discussion in Uni, but turned out just to be PC and I. Our other team mate came out, while another MIA (no idea what happened to her). The discussion didn't go to well, we were all being sleazy and lazy. But at least we did something.

Then came a late lunch, with the few shops we went to were close, so we actually traveled all the way to Taipan. It was far, but guess we ran out of option, seeing it was practically tea time, instead of lunch. The food was fine, instead i actually liked it. The roasted pork was crunchy and nice!

After lunch, we were a little high and wanted to play ping pong. I emptied my pocket to lessen the weight, then i realised i lost my car key. CRAP! Of all the things, what am i going to do without a car key and with a car? I dont want to possibly leave the car in Uni, or worst still camp in Uni. I started to panic. KY suggested to checked her car, so we walked all the way to the construction area and checked. Futile effort, so we went back to the Uni, and asked the security to open the library, as it was closed. At first they were reluctant, so i was like i have no car key, i cant go back and i cant leave my car here anyway. So they were nice and a security opened the door for us. We went to the discussion room to find it was locked. The security told us he only have the card and not any keys. Great! So we went down, searched the lost and found, still nothing. I panicked more. Then we were at the counter and saw the keys of the rooms. We managed to get in, but still missing keys.... Then KY started to scare me about how people will steal my car when they have the keys by randomly pressing till they find the right car. She asked me to check whether my car was still at the car park, so we packed our stuff and went to the car park. Luckily my car was still there. *phew*

In the meantime, i was calling everyone single person i knew to get Wei Yi number. It was impossible to contact PC. Her handphone was dead as usual, so i had to call WY. But i didnt have WY number, so i called Dan, and EN and Wei Leung, to get her number. Then i started spamming WY phone but no one picked up. I was running out of choice. I had to call my mom to bring the spare keys. She was really grumpy, saying she got stucked in the jam for an hour. All the roads were really really really jam. Then when i told her she had to come out to give me the keys, she was really annoyed. She said let her rest then she come out again when she actually reached home! Claiming that it was bad that the traffic was bad, an idiot got to lose her key NOW! Wow, grumpy of her. I was getting desperate, i was going to Taipan soon if i still cant reach WY or PC. KY suggest to call PC house, but i dont have her number. So we called Tom and Andrew for her house number, or even her parents number. Anyone... anoyone that lets me contact her. The key is either with her and WY, positive.

Then suddenly WY picked my call, i was like, u send PC back already? Hmm.. Did you take my car key. When she said no, i was rather sceptical, so i was like could you check your stuffs please? I described my car key, which is a Honda similar to hers. Then my mom called telling me how bad is the jam like the day could not get any worst. Then WY called again telling me that she is coming. I was just so happy that she found my keys. I was started to get really really worried about it.

Then i started speeding home. As my mom was right, it was really jam. I went from Federal and detoured to Old Klang Road. Old Klang road was jam, so i detoured to NPE, to a turn before Bangsar to Abdullah Hukum, turning back down to the back road of Bangsar. Turned out before Brickfield, but had to detour to town. Bumped into a road block, then headed to PBD. The only shortest route from PBD back home was Bangsar and it was jam till the very end, so turned down to Jalan Duta. Jalan Duta was jam too, but i had no choice, no other detours. It was a straight road down to town. I was surprised it was jam, as it was seldom jam. I knew the reason when i saw another road block on the left and another to the right, which made all the cars forced to go to KL Sentral way, which contributed to more jam to the already jammed Brickfield. From KL Sentral i had to go down to Brickfield, detoured to Syed Putra to reach home. Sigh... What a long journeym practically 2 hours. I could have reached Ipoh with 2 hours.... And all i did was came back from Uni which usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. Damn i hate protests and road blocks...=s

See 3 lanes? It is actually a 2 lane road, but as usual... it has 3 now...

Argh... All the red lights..... Eye sore...

KL City

Went to Hakka Restaurant which is located opposite Pavillion for dinner today. After dinner, we walked to Traders Hotel and say a nice scenery of the Twin Tower.

Hand started to get itchy. :p

A picture from the roads

Pictures of the reflection of the twin tower on a building... from different locations

We entered Traders Hotel and went up to the 22nd floor (i think), there was a sky bar with a pool inside. Looks cool, and the scenery is cooler. Got a picture of the Twin Tower and a side view of the KL tower.

PS Sorry for the lousy resolution. I have a cheap phone with a cheap camera quality

Bye winter break

Semester break has came to an end. I'm going into my year 2 sem 2 this coming semester. Undeniable, the seniors were right, year 2 is a stressful and hectic year. Completing my sem 1, its really hectic, stressful, busy and hard. And sem 2 aint gonna be any easier, seeing we have 27 hours per week compared to 24 last semester. This is going to be a torturous semester AGAIN!

Sometimes i think human are just greedy. They tend to aim for things beyond their capabilities. They know they cant achieve it, but still want to believe, holding the belief that maybe, just maybe it will happen. But it turns out to be nothing but a disappointment.

Short trip to Malacca

(Above) Went to a restaurant in SS2 called New Paris, the food is good and the price is reasonable. This is its famous dish, champagne chicken in watermelon skin. Looks nice! And the red ball is really pure watermelon.

(Below) A really good advert. Some scientists in a lab, doing some chemical experiments. The cool thing about this is this lab is only one box, and the scientists are real human. First glance people would have thought it was a doll, but when it started to move, it really attracted many passers-by. Really good marketing skills.

Its over.. for now

Its over! 3 grueling months of study its over, but just for now. 1 month of recoup is all i have and I have to go war again. Its weird having nothing to do, but this 1 month will be good. These 3 months was nothing but hectic and work overload and stress stress and stress. Not to mention the finals was terrible... The hardest sem in the hardest year with the hardest paper. Sigh....

Micheal Jackson passed away this morning. It was saddening. His songs are really good. The most talented singer ever. Not only are the songs good, they are really meaningful. They are not just SONGS, but hidden messages. Its a really sad thing he died at such an early age. To make things worst, he died of cardiac arrest. Deja vu. *Sigh* And he shares the same birthday as me :p

Week 13

The last week of this semester has just ended. One thing bad is finals are here, one good thing is that soon this semester will be over, and i do not want to go through it again *fingers crossed*. Electronics is just plain hard, i will not deny that fact, but at least my interest was sustained throughout; labs were hard but it was interesting, especially the last lab where we are to build an amplifier ourselves. But one subject just gives me the perks. It was a combination of many subjects, but it was interesting, makes people want to explore more. But 'he' could make this whole course so 'blah'. His ability to bore people and make enemies faster than anyone amazes me. His self esteem is overwhelming but experience wise he is lacking. I can see the struggle within everyone because of him. Sometimes i really wished he didn't ever appear in my life, at least i wont hold so much grudge at someone, which makes me glad its over, at least i could let it go. And i will.

A picture of our amplifier. :p

Photos during last week celebration for PC birthday at Shogun.

I love beef....
PC wearing a skirt. She lost a bet. :p

Today was a really weird lunch. I should have ate before i came back home. My maid was being adventurous, cooking pasta in tom yam soup... Sigh.... It was really weird.

Another lab down.. One more LAST lab to go. I'm quite glad it's gonna be over, Electronics lab is just TOO stressful. Anyway, found something cool today. It was done by accident, connecting some wrong wires and a sine graph can be a star. See how troublesome these labs can be? Over one small mistake? Sigh....

Week 8

30 April. Tomorrow is Labour Day. Everywhere is going to be congested as people are rushing home, even today the traffic was bad.

Week 8 has just ended. *panic* This sem has been too fast. I didnt notice how fast the weeks are passing, until it just occur to me today that i have 4 more weeks left. *gasp* No idea why, but i think this sem has been in high speed, compared to last year, which i thought was quite fast, this sem passed through so so so FAST, that i havent been able to catch my breath for a moment. One month later, im going to take my finals and then this sem is done. WHOA!

Anyway, we went to Murni for dinner after design discussion. Everything there is OVER. It is overly-crowded, with cars and people. Seriously alot alot of people. The drinks are overly-sweet (non existence word), the foods have over-toomuch-variation (watermelon in ribena?chess garlic nun?). The place is overly-crammed, and overly-rated with over-management-skills (according to Jo). Guess the only thing reasonable there is the price. :) And, the drivers there are overly-skilled, seriously... Safety is priority. =s Someone actually blocked a junction by treating it as a car park. =s

Ok. Im overly-tired, talking gibberish already. Ciaoz

Warman is over. I am relieved that is over. No more Saturday's camping to complete our project.

Well, the competition was smooth. I was really nervous that when i launched the device by taking out the stopped i threw the stopper. Actually it flew out of my hands. I was so nervous that my hands were shaking. Anyway, it was a job well done. Thanks to my teammate. The project wouldnt go so smooth if it lacked either any of my teammates. Everyone took the initiative and put in alot of effort into this project. I enjoyed the process of working together as a team. Although it will be the first and last, but ya... Its cool. :)

Anyway this is our device:
Other teams' devices

War-time

Week 7, the week after Easter break and the busiest week of all. For TRC there is only two tests, 1 assignment and one project. Lucky for us. :) If not, we would have died. Actually i would have died. 1st test was Electronics and it was like a fatal lethal poison, where it kills you INSTANTLY. The paper was just plain hard, wait no, Very Very VERY EXTREMELY hard. The question are really based totally on your understanding, where nothing is given before (lectures and tutes). And if you have a slight doubt, you will difficulty answering the paper. It was just a to-die-for paper. Then there is Computing. Im fine with the paper, seeing that Electronics was so bloody hard, nothing can beat the difficulty.

Then after the two tests, at the end of the week, which is today, we are having our Warman competition. We are to build two devices to run a L-shaped track, one purely mechanical and one purely electrical. It starts with one device from the starting line, where it is required to run a certain distance with a baton, reaches the exchange area where the second device is placed. The first device then passes the baton to the second device, and the second device will continue the run to the finish line. Sounds easy? Sorta, but there is the speed taken into account. You got to be as fast as you can. :) But many consequences comes with speed and there must be a compromise with speed, if not the device might never make it to the finish line.

This is it, our 6 weeks hard work. Ok maybe just... 4 weeks, one day per week to be exact, is all in this 30 second to decide.

Survey

I attended this survey today, for 2 hours +, where you get RM100 as appreciation. Yup, its little work and good pay, so why not? The survey was about Universities in Malaysia. It was conducted by a research company. Things i would like to comment was definitely the toilet. Ignoring the fact it is dirty, there is also dead cockroach around the place, much to my disgust. Also, the coordinator of the survey ain't that good, let's just say he/she have much to improve... But the participant were quite chatty, thank godness. I joined group discussion before where the atmosphere was tense and really quiet. Luckily this time everyone was chipping in, giving their opinions.

Overall this survey was a worthwhile cause, not only you get paid, there is also free food, pizza and nugget. :) Although it did waste my time, seeing im lacking of it. Sigh, less time using the line then.

Break

1 week of break for Easter, but i decided its actually one week of break of WORK.. WORK and WORK... We have to hand up an assignment on the Monday of the Sem break itself. The reason being, our lecturer think that we will completely forget about the assignment when we come back. Weird excuse i will say. Then when we come back from our break is where all the mid sem test is conducted, and the highlight of the week, our WARMAN project. One of the most important project among all, seeing it contributes 40% to our finals. Failing this is as good as failing this course and you dont even need to sit for the finals, wait you cant even sit the final exams. This sem most our units have this pre-req where you have to pass to internal to even take the external. Stressful.

This week has been hectic. Rushing WARMAN, doing computing, preparing for electronics; at least the week is over. One week break at least can sit down and study for the test.

*sigh*

Eletronics

Im sick of Electronics, i just spend 6 hours conducting our lab experiments, except we are experimenting failures more than results. We started at 10. Fixing everything, getting everything prepared, making sure everything worked before we actually start as there were some wire problems last week when we were doing ours. So our wires were fine after changing two, then we checked our signal generator, which went berserk when we turned it on. The frequency fluctuate like mad and refuse to stay on one frequency. So we changed that too. Then we got going. Conducting our experiment, until.. our lecturer came over to check our results. He pointed that our results are way out, and definitely wrong. So we fixed our circuit again, and showed him. It is definitely correct. He then claim the circuit has a problem, to our misery. After checking everything, he concluded our IC was spoiled, cause the output is 'clipped'. Great, so now our IC went berserk. So he gave us another and asked ur to try out before using it. AND the IC was spoiled AGAIN! We didnt know what to do. So our lecturer started to hands on. He went to try fix our IC. After an hour, he said everything is good. Asking what the reason he just said we changed many things, no idea what was wrong. o.O How unlucky can i be? What i saw was, our signal generator changed, the power generator changed, the wires changed, the circuit changed, not sure about the IC, basically everything was wrong. What a faulty circuit, with a faulty machine, and faulty wires, in a faulty lab and a faulty subject. Sigh....... So sick of IT!@!

Woohoo, im officially a Competent Driver. No more marks deductions, no more P sticker and no more P license. Just got my license two days ago. When i compared both my license, i realised my looks did changed these two years, i used to be so nerdy last time with my braces. =s Yikes.... But its over. :p

Doggy

OMG, my dog is a pervert. Ok, thats what my friend said. Well, my design group came to my place on Sat to do our project, which is DUE in another 2 weeks and we are just starting! We are becoming desperate, people have been starting ages ago and we are just starting, so we decided on a whole day on Design with nothing else. PC was the earliest to reach. She loves dog and actually wants to keep one herself but her mom just hates or rather i would say SCARED of every single animal that exists. Once she saw the dog, she started playing with it. My dog was so 'manja' that he actually lied down on the floor, on its back. Then when we wanted to leave, he started to walk on two legs then he hug her legs, on two feets, like not wanting to let her go. He was really cute. Suddenly, PC just got scared and said ok... ur dog is a pervert. THen it followed it with, " i got sexually assaulted by a dog", i didnt really notice anything but she said she could feel it. LOL. Unbelievable... Assaulted by a dog, thats weird =s

Hectic

Everyone is right, year 1 is like a honey moon year, everything is easy and simple. And if u ever think year 1 was hard, u will die in year 2. Im not denying it, i'm feeling the load and stress. Everyday there is sure something to do, quiz, assignment, labs, prelims etc. The whole week is just working working working. Its only week4, but we have been working like everyday since this sem commenced, non stop. Hopefully my energy would last me another 8 weeks, not forgetting another 3 weeks for exams!

This week labs wasnt that bad, at least we know what was happening, and they decided to reduce the amount of work, although still4 parts, not forgetting we went to lab early an hour to get things set up. Playing with the op-amp was fun, except the part where someone actually blew up the op-amp and there was a loud 'crack'.

Something happen this week. One person turned from someone really nice and goofy, to someone who dont bother. Not to say dont bother, but thats what is happening. He refuses to answer any questions, so what is the class for then? He insists on us participating, which is really good and fine with me, but there is a limit. Its just not right having people running around with wrong makeup theories and principals. Think experience is something we have to garner whenever we do anything.

I decided not everyone can teach. He/she can be smart, but that doesnt mean she can teach. Teaching needs patient, tolerance and not forgetting the passion. Recently, i met someone who is really really REALLY smart but have a really really HUGE ego. You can even feel her vibes like a distance away, which actually gives you the chills. And near enough, you start to panic, and even forget everything you wanted to do... Thats how scary!

*Struggling with pilling work*

BTW, SUPPORT EARTH HOUR!

B'day Celeb at Seoul

We celebrated CX birthday at Seoul Garden. I really dont know why they chose that place, this year itself this is the my third time Korean Bbq-ing. The food there aint so good, but the price is somewhat reasonable; guess they just want to try something different. To be honest, in any events, its the crowd that matters. Here's the birthday boy

Notice the anime on the left? Yes.. they just came from an Anime event in Tropicana. They just cant get enough of anime.Anyway, CX was trying to get the candles out from the cake while we try to slam his face into the cake. But it was a futile effort. Once he even spit out the candles at Caryn. Gross... Then an awkward conversation started

Car : Yay, i got CX DNA, im going to be smarter
We : Lol.
Car : Now i can pass on CX DNA to my children.
We : o.O That sounded realyl wrong
Car : Why? What's wrong. I just said, now i can pass on CX DNA to my...
Car : Ok, that is wrong
We : Since when u guys do it?
Car : Since just now
We : o.O *All choking with laughter* Wow... Scandal!
We : Didnt know u guys were one
Car : Ask CX la...

Then CX had to say the wrongest thing ever

We : CX how can u do this to Caryn?
CX : Nola, she was the one who played with my feelings
We : o.OOOOO *Laughing* *Stomach aching* *Tearing*
Jo : That just made the situation more awkward than it needs to be

Well, we practically made alot of noise in the Restaurant, with 17 of us. Think the waiters were glad when we were leaving. :p

A shop to recommend

Today, after nilai, we went to Kuchai Lama for lunch. We went to eat 'bamboo' noodle. The noodle is not exactly made out of bamboo, but they used bamboo to make the noodle. The food is not bad, something like wan tan mee, but they make their own noodle. And its affordable too. :)

This is the 'noodle-making' kitchen:

Wow, this is the first time i actually went for Ching Ming. My sis wanted to come back, but couldnt make it. At first i was worried, ok maybe not worried, but sort of dreading it; think i was trying to avoid and accept the fact. It hurts... badly. I like the fact that i dont need to think about, keep my mind occupied with much better stuffs then thinking of the past. Flashback of the past keeps these few days, when i realised i had to go for Ching Ming, flashbacks of the few days when the funeral was on, things that happened. I even remember one time i cried because i couldnt find our family photo. Dumb? Yup, i admit.

Today, we went to Xiao En (Nilai). I was driving, and i overshot the place. Maybe my mind was occupied that i didnt notice when we reaching, or subconciously i just wanted to avoid the place. I have no idea. So my mom told me to go up the next exit and try to U-turn. So we did, and to our horror, there was no U-turn. It was a straight road to KLIA. My mom was annoyed, she said she should have drove, but I insisted on it. So we really ended up near LCCT, and got to turn out to Nilai after that. It was a huge detour, from Nilai to KLIA to Nilai again. I even passed by INTI college. It took us an extra hour to reach there. To my surprise, i wasnt even the slightest irritated or pissed, i was actually really calm. I didnt bother about the delay, instead i was feeling ok about. After an hour, we reached there. We went to visit him before my grandma. When i stood in front, there was this feeling gushing through. I was feeling sad, but i didnt feel the sharp ache i felt 9 months ago, the feeling that i just need to scream my head off. Today, the feeling was numb. I realised that I actually accepted that fact, the fact that he is no longer here.

Ok. Enough about the sappy stuff, thinking less is always good.

I got a dog, an useless dog to be exact. It doesnt bark at strangers, it just wags its tail. Well, this wasnt my decision, it was my mom. She decided to keep a dog, since she is free now.
This is Andy :)

Recent events

Recently in the news, the toll payments became a highlight. They removed the toll collection at a 2 places but increased 4,5 in other places. One place where they removed was at the NPE highway in PJS. But there was a catch they forgot to mention, the removal was only for one way, means traffic coming from Sunway to Templer will not be charged, but vehicles from KL to Sunway will STILL have to pay. I didnt know that until i encountered the events myself. I decided to use NPE two days ago and realised that the removal is only ONE way. =s

I just came back from Design tute. And i concluded that Design is too subjective, there is no Right or Wrong. A similar drawing can give two different marks. I though engineering was all about logic; but i dont seem to see any logic in design. I give up. Creative = 0; Imagination =0; Drawing =0;
Basically im screwed. =s

My mom's just came back from HK today, after 10 days of vacation/visiting my sis. I had to become my younger's sister full time driver, taking her to school, tuition, mall, doctor etc. My mom is back... means less freedom, but less burden too... :)

Anyway, i was to fetch her from KL Sentral at 2am. So i had disrupted sleep, getting a wake up call at 2am. It was raining, and i was too lazy to get out of bed. Annoyed as i am, when i got the KL Sentral, they barred the entrance, blocking all private vehicles into it. Seeing that Sentral has 3 entrance, 1 upstairs, 1 inside and 1 outside. The outside is where the main road is, where the monorail is.Its always jam, no matter what time is it, cause of the pedestrain. While the upstairs is quite congested as there are many vehicles turning, a pedestrain, and many blocks of office building. The inside entrance is where most of the bus stops, for those who sat before the airbus (bus from Sentral to LCCT), will know the place. Thats where all the bus from LCCT or Genting stops. Well, they blocked the entrance in. I have no idea how do they expect anyone to pick people up. All they do is cause a congestion somewhere else, and it is just a plain nuisance to carry a suitcase upstairs as there is only one really small escalator, or pull it outside. Argh, it just cause more JAM!

Dinner outing

Went to Star Village for dinner. There's 3 branches. Usually i go to the Kuchai Lama branch, but i wanted to try the OUG branch, the HQ. Different branch has different themes. The OUG branch has the theme of recycling, the Kuchai one is the 60's. I realised there was a new branch when i saw the brochure. The new one is in Kota Damansara, with a really cool theme- Sand & Beach. The interesting part which caught my eyes was, if you go there with a beach pants and flops you get 10% off, if you go there with your swimming attire, u get 50% off. NOT forgetting, if you go there with a snorkelling attire, you eat for free. It's weird, but its a cool concept. But i dun think ill go to a restaurant with swimming attires let alone snorkelling outfits. Hmm.... =s

The last time i went to the OUG one was like 3 years back. before it even shifted, with my dad and grandpa, basically my whole family- one memory i remembered when we were together. I remember it was the day i put on my braces. So i didnt get to eat anything as it was really painful to even bite together, let alone chew down a whole steak. I went there to drink soup only. =s

So ya, i went there tonight to try it out. The service was really bad. They even forgot my order. We had to remind them twice, and by the time my food came, everyone was done with their food. I was starving by then.Lucky, the food was fine. The mixed grill's fish didnt turn out so bad. The last time i went to the Kuchai one, the fish tasted weird. :s But i like the place, the surrounding is cool, AND there are games to play. LOL. I sound like a kid. :p

Back again..n again...n again...

Wow, last post is a year ago. LOL, seeing me this time wont last long anyway. Just need something to happen before it kills my mood to blog.

Well, the one year i was missing, was one hell of a year. Things happened which practically made a drastic change to my life, the biggest twist to be exact. Things can never be the same as it used to be. Things change i know, and lifes go on.. Yup, easier said than done. Im glad to say i can say im actually healing from it, letting the past be the past. Took me 9 months; it is really long, but in between more events happened too, so i guess the hole just gets deeper. But im climbing out, seeing the light soon enough. All i need is something to drastic, be occupied and busy, think less and life goes on really fine.

So yup, one year. I grew matured (according to my mother), which means i've been a 'baby' before this, no idea whether it is a compliment. I feel that i do think and do things differently, maybe cause im forced to grow up and grow out of my comfort zone, which makes me really hate it sometimes that things have to change.

Quick update on the crappy year. Although 'it' happened (i still dont feel comfortable mentioning wat 'it' is- deja vu), i manage to live on, managed to finish my year 1 with not much problem, although it was really hectic in sem2. :) I did an internship in a computing company, which totally distracted me again. Which makes me think again, maybe i am not healing, i have been just avoiding. Nevertheless i shall avoid as long as i can, and soon it will be out of the picture.
Crap, im being all sober. Gotta face reality!!

Anyway, 3 months of working really built up my interest in computing. I decided firmly that i wont venture into that field when i first started. Now i have stopped working, i kinda reminiscence the working period. I am starting to have doubts. :( But lucky, im learning computing this semester, we shall see how things go then.

So how am I? Everyone said i grew skinnier, and soon i might just vanish, which i still dont believe. My weight never changed. 42kg then, still 42 kg. Sam's philosophy: Maybe u grew more muscles instead of fats. Im not sure about that, but she is the one studying Bio, not me.

*Hopefully i continue blogging*.....
