Rusty

The Color Challenge on Peas this month is rust.  Couldn't pass up the chance to go to Snoqualmie and the Rust Yard--aka the railroad museum.  Making abstract details shots of rust and peeling paint is a lot more fun than photos of rusty old engines and freight cars.

Liquidity

Something about these make me think of mercury...

Blue and Gold

Found a section of the river that wasn't in the deep shade and had some wonderful color reflections...

Use a slower shutter speed on the same section of the river and once again, impressionist art.

Going with the Flow

Playing with shutter speed down at the river...fast water and slow shutter speeds gives an impressionistic painting.  Love these!!

Framed

The water level out at Rattlesnake Lake is low enough that one can mosey along the shore, finding stumps that are usually covered by water during the summer.  It was fun getting down to look through this "window" to see what I could find.  It was even better having some blue sky and sunshine!!

Falling

Love this litttle side-of-the-road waterfall!  With all the rain we've been having, it was especially full.  It was nice to have a dry day to get out and ramble with the camera.

Take Heart

Spring is on the way!  These are early this year, but we've been having an extremely mild winter.
