Visit from my Uncle Ricky

My Uncle is going to be in town for the summer doing business and he was able to come by tonight to hangout with the family and have dinner. My Uncle Rick is so much fun, I remember when I was a kid he would always play around with us and we would always have just the best time when he was around.

My girls have only got to be around him a couple of times but they warmed up to him and were having a blast. Watching them brought back so many memories of when I was a kid and my brother and I would just laugh and laugh because my uncle would make anything into a game. Tonight he was playing with a slinky and they were using it as a telephone, then he was using the ABC magnets on the fridge and was pretending that he was shocking them with it. Then he took their bathing suits and tried to make babushka's on their heads, he is a great uncle.
I am so excited that he is going to be around for the summer and the girls will get to know him more.

My little designer

Jessica has done it again, this is one of her new lines, water wings with hair tie assesories. I was get laundry done and Jessica came up to me to say that she dressed Natalia. Last time she dressed Natalia she had a pair of Dora underwear on her head and a Hooter's shirt on.
Jessica kept telling Natalia that she looked great and for me to take a picture. Natalia just kept saying "eeee eeee" (that means cheese). Those two crack me up and I love that they get a long....some times :)

BBQ at my brother's house and much more,,,,

Today was such a busy day for me, in the morning I took the girls swimming at my brother's community pool in Castaic then went over to my brother's house for a BBQ. After the BBQ I met up with Jake at our friends house.

At my brother's I got to see the wonderful landscaping job he did in his backyard and all his new furniture. He is such a hard worker and I am very proud of him. It was really nice to see Kellie's family there and some of the neighbor's I grew up with. We always love to joke around and eat good food. The hardest part is keeping the kids out of my brother's planters. haha

After the BBQ I went to meet up with Jake at our friends house where I got thrown in the pool....Lovely! Seriously it was nice the water was great and it was fun to spend time with great friends.

So far this summer has been wonderful, we have done so much that I a so tired. :)

Swimming

My mom called me and said that I should bring the girls down to my brother's community pool. I figured it's hot lets get out of the house, so I took them down to Castaic to cool off. Jessica has been doing so well, she can swim without her floaties but has to wear her goggles. Kealyn thinks that she is invinceable and wants to jump in and get dunked over and over and Natalia just wants to hold on for dear life.

I love going to this pool when ever we get a chance to, hopefully the girls will be swimming by the end of the summer.

Disneyland with 6 girls 1 boy!

On Thursday my friend Nicole and I took are little ones to the Happiest Place on Earth. It was really fun the kids did really well and we got to go on a lot of rides. It was not as busy as I thought it would be, but we stayed till about 6pm and it was a great day for it.

Natalia loved the carosel, I had to take her off screaming and crying, she just kept saying weeee and laughing. Jessica loved just going on the big rides with her friend Hayley and Shelby. Kealyn was just happy to be at Disneyland.

I even had a mom come up to me and say "you guys are crazy bringing all those kids." Now really people, do you want me to stay at home and do nothing because I have more that one kid. I enjoy going out with my babies and yeah it can be hard but I love them enough to keep doing things with them. I find it funny when people make those comments. I love my kids and I will continue to take them places I feel sorry for those parents that don't take advantage of the fun they can have with their kids.

Peace and Quiet

Finally they are all asleep. After potty, teeth brushed, a drink of water, Jessica hit me and a book they are asleep. I swear if they could stay up all night I think they just would do it. I tell Jake all the time that they are on a sugar high all day and all night, I can't even stay up past 9pm.

When I was younger we would tease my dad and say "We are good, we always behave Papa" and he would say "Yeah right when your asleep your good". Now I understand what he means :)

Free movie's

Don't you just love summer! Every year I take the girls to the free movies during the summer over at the Edward's Cinema in Canyon Country. The lines are a bit long but the kids seem to enjoy going. Today they were showing Kung Fu Panda and Grandma, Aunt Crystal, Nicole and her mini me's and Laurel and her mini me's came to enjoy the show.

Of course Talia wanted to leave towards the end of the movie but Jessica and Kaelyn loved hanging with their friends. I love watching how the kids act around eachother, they seem to just have a great time and really enjoy eachother's company.

New tile!

With the help of great friends,we finally have our new tile laid down. I love it so much. It really makes the house look so different. If any of you know when we bought the house it had white carpet with stains everywhere, holes in the walls and the worst tile job I have ever seen. Since we have had the house we have put new carpet in, retextured the walls and ceiling, remodeled the front bathroom and now put new tile down in the entry way, hallway and laundry room.

Thanks to great friends for giving us guidence and help to do this we have come a long way. When I started to chip the tile our friend Cory came by and as usual he had a tool for that :) and we got the tile up quick. A new friend of ours Eric came by and helped Jake scrape the grout and on Saturday Cory came by and helped lay and cut tile. We owe a lot to our friends and will be forever grateful for their kindness....Thank you!

Happy Father's Day!

When I was younger I would always say that I would marry a man who is going to be a GREAT father to my children. I'm happy to say that I have married that man and he has gone above and beyond for our family. Our daughter's adore their father and I know that Jake is very proud of them.

The girls wake up every morning and ask the same question "Where is daddy?" And every morning I respond "He's at work." The girls love to run out to him when he pulls up from work. I always know when he is home because I have 3 little voices screaming "Daddy, Daddy.....mommy daddy's home." I know Jake gets a kick out of his little girls excitement to see him and all the hugs and kisses they give him....I thank Heavenly Father everyday for giving us a wonderful person.

Happy Father's Day Jake.....We love you!

Jessica's Preschool graduation

Class of 2009

For the past 2 years Jessica has been going to Miss Sherri's for preschool. I remember the day that I dropped her off. She walked in without crying or holding on to my leg saying "Don't go." I was shocked, I gave her a kiss then sat in my car and just cried. I never have left her with someone other than family. Needless to say I was having the seperation issues.

Jessica made so may great friends as well as I did over the 2 years. Just thinking of it now I want to cry. Jessica is going to be starting Kindergarten in September and we hope she ends up in Mrs. Evans class.

My mom and dad came as well as Jake's parents to the graduation. Jessica had the biggest Chuckie Cheese smile on her face and did a wonderful job singing the songs.

Jessica Taylor Milhoan, your daddy and I are very proud of you!

Lisa's Baby Shower and sister's B-day dinner

On Sunday my sister inlaw had her babyshower for the twins. It was really nice to finally meet some of her family and friends and get to know them a little better. The games were really fun, we of course did the belly game where you guess how big her belly is with the string and oh yeah I won that one :). Then there was another game where you had to figure out the baby names of animals....yeah my sister inlaw Crystal and I started making names up like for Turkey we put Thanksgiving dinner.

Lisa got a ton of cute gifts and we all got to have some laughs. It was a really fun afternoon with great people.

After the babyshower I headed over to me Jake and the girls at my mom's house for my sister Diana's birthday dinner. I love going there and chatting with the family. Of course the girls became center of attention and Jessica was singing her class songs. Thanks to my sister Jessica has now started to sing a different version of the pizza hut song.

The song is suppose to go :

Pizza Hut Pizza Hut

Kentucky fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut

McDonald's McDonald's

Kentucky fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut

Sister's Version:

Donald Duck picks his butt all the way to Pizza Hut

Thank you Diana for that because now she sings it where ever we go to the store. As pay back I made Jake hold her so I could spank her 23 times :)

Happy 22nd birthday Diana!

Logan's 1 year's old

On Saturday we went to my friend Melissa's sons birthday party. It is funny how time flies! It seemed just like yesterday she was calling me saying "Guess what, I'm pregnant!" It was nice to have a prego buddy to eat with and get cranky with.

My friend had a island theme party and it was really fun. She made a Volcano cake for her son that yes, actually smoked and little cupcakes that had mini volcanoes, crabs and some with palm trees. Very cool!

The kids had a great time with the jumper and playing with dress up clothes. Natalia was in heaven with the chocolate volcano cupcake. I swear her eyes were rolling in the back of her head when she was biting into it. Jessica was so helpful in giving her sister a whole cupcake.

Thanks Melissa for the fun day, and Happy Birthday Logan :)

New project

Ever since we moved into our house I told Jake that I need to change the tile. Who ever did it did a horrible job! The lines where off, in some places it looks like they just stuck a piece of tile in place and it doesn't match. So last week I called Jake and this is how it went:

Me: Hi Jake

Jake: Hi Babe
Me: Would you be mad if I ripped the tile up

Jake: I guess so, you know I can't get it done right away
Me: Yeah (and in my mind I was thinking "you better do it this weekend")

Once I got off the phone I started to chip away. Thank goodness a friend of ours came by and let us borrow some kind of power tool to make it go faster. The other day our friend Eric was able to come by and help out. It is nice to have friends that will lend a hand, we definatly will be there for them when they need us.

We are only doing the hallway, front entry way and the laundry room. Once that is done the boarders and trims can go around the door. All that is left to remodel is my room and the kitchen. woo hoo :)

Story time...

Every night we try and read to the girls but sometimes we get really tired and the stories end up being very short and sometimes we add to it. Tonight Jake was reading to the girls 102 Dalmations. I was in the other room and I happened to be listening to Jake..."Well Cruella's probation officer got mad because she went camping in Yellow Stone park and it was out of her boundries so she got in trouble"...."The dogs chased her up a powerpoll and the cans and insulators were old and faulty so she got burned".....hmmmm did not know that was in the story Jake!

The girls are going to realize he is adding to the story and catch him on it....for now I think it is funny and the girls enjoy it.

Black eye

Today we went to my friend Jasmine's mom's funeral. It was a hard day for everyone and it was not fun saying goodbye. I met my friend Jasmine back in high school at Valencia High School. We became really good friends and soon became sort of a part of their family. Her mother Marta was amazing, she always treated me a daughter not just Jasmine's friend. I use to beg my parents to let me go over their house to spend the night. I remember a time when I got to sleep over and we all thought it would be cool to sneak out of the house and go Tee peeing. Jasmine went to her mom's room to ask if we could sneak out (kinda defeats the purpose right?) and her mom said sure but you have to do it right and climb out the window....lol I have such wonderful memories of her.

After the funeral Jake, kids and I went back to Jasmine's stepdad's house for food and Kaelyn decided to play with Jessica by a swinging chair. I figured that they were okay and then I hear Kaelyn start to cry. My friends husband grabbed her and brought her over to me. Let's just say that she looks like she got into a fight. Her eye is black and blue. I tried to get her to put ice on it but she said "I wanna go play momma." She is our little boxer I swear.

Disneyland AGAIN....

Disneyland June 09

My parents decided to take a trip to good old Disneyland and invited me and the girls to go. Jake had to work and I really never get to spend time with my parents. My mom and dad don't do much so when they say let's go do something I jump right on it and go.

We had so much fun, it brought back so many memories of when I was a kid and my parents took us. My dad loves to complain and my mom goes with the flow...lol I love them so much and I am grateful for them in my life. It was funny to watch my dad with the girls, when I was little and we went to Disneyland my dad would always say "after lunch you can get any treat you want." So after lunch was done Jessica went with her papa and she got what ever treat she wanted. She even lost the treat and my dad walked half way thru the park to get her another one. He has a weak heart when it comes to his grand daughter's.

Jessica is at the 40 inch mark and can ride almost everything in the park except Indiana Jones. Since the lines where short we got on rides really fast. Jessica and my dad went on Slash mountain, Big Thuner Mountain and Soaring over California (at california adventures). It was funny, she was so brave and it was cute to see them hand in hand in line to get on. I tried to get her on Tower of Terror but that didn't go well, my dad said it was to scary for her....What she just went on Slash Mountain!

In all it was a great day and I am thankful that I was able to go!
