Samuel France Nielson

Stats:
Birthday- May 28th, 2011
Time- 8:50pm
Weight- 7 lbs 15 oz
Height- 20 inches
Hair- Lots and golden brown

Bio (from mom's perspective): I had contractions starting at 4 am Saturday morning, I realized by 7:30 am we needed to cancel our fun plans for the day; the hospital agreed and told us to come on in. Long story short, we got to the hospital at 10 am and were admitted at 11 am. Got the epidural spa package around 2:30 pm, started pushing at 7:10 pm and Sammy said "ahdksklca" at 8:50 pm. :)

All in all we have a happy, healthy baby and the hit-by-a-bus feeling can be disregarded. He's a keeper. We are in love and full of gratitude. Thanks all for the prayers you sent our way.

Name origin: Not sure, we started calling him Sammy (we don't know if it was France or I) and it stuck. We're sure you figured out the middle name.

Yay!

40 Weeks :)

We made it to Pirates, on my due date. It was a little loud for the kid. :)
(Don't worry, people were staring and pointing when we were taking this photo. Hahaha)

Due Date

I love this song and listen to it far too often. Oh wait, that's not possible. :)

No baby yet :).

Mom came!

While France went to Disneyland last week with his dental squadron (okay so he went to the Calif. Dental Conference annnd DLand), I convinced mom through hormonal tears to come visit. It worked like a charm. After lots of help packing and permission from her doctors, mom got her first vacation since BT (before tumor)!
(PS France is in the military and he literally had to go, otherwise he wouldn't have, trust me.)

How cute is this lady? I love her hair wig. :)

So the Jelly Belly factory is in our town and I've never been, so after a pre-labor scare where we were deciding whether to get France on a plane or not and head to the hospital, we decided to tour the factory, like two little nerds. Yes, it was awesome.OKayyy, taking things a little too far with the Royal Wedding doncha think? Hahaha!
(It's made entirely out of Jelly Bellys).

Then we ventured up to Napa and Yountville again, seeing as I just love the drive.
AND THE FOOD! Can you tell? That ain't just a baby bump. :)
Prittylady.

MMMMMmmm the 'Bouchon Bakery,' which was featured on the 'Today Show' the day we went. Hysterical. PS: Mom hardly touched her food, she still has troubles eating.
So like a dutiful daughter, I ate it for her.

Don't worry, we went to a verrry yummy restaurant, just not the "French Laundry."
Though someday I will go there, as a Christmas/birthday/mother's day present (for 3 years). Whew!

I just love these two people. :)
This is mommy's cute new short do! Even though she has a hat on, she looks quite chic.

So mom got super sick the last few days she was here (oops) and ended up having to change her flights home, we were pretty stoked she got to stay longer, not that we wanted her to be sick! We just slept and hung out. I think I had worn her out good. She's home now and getting her Avastin drip and meeting with doctors today so she can come back as soon as I go into labor. Thanks mommy, for everything. See you soon!

FullTerm

I didn't feel on my A-Game today, so what do you do when seasonal allergies take over your face? You black and white the photo!
Yay for full-term! I probably won't have him for a couple more weeks, but that doesn't mean he couldn't come tomorrow. :)

(Ps if you are wondering what my cool pants are, they are France's swim shorts, they are adjustable. Nuff said.)

I just like this picture, for obvious reasons.

Quick story, when you are making a recipe from a WELL KNOWN BOOK and the recipe is PRINTED WRONG, it makes ones day a little bit more FRUSTRATING and WASTES a LOT of batter. Then you found out you need 12 EGG whites in stead of TWO and you are FIVE eggs short because you have wasted so many. Thank goodness for neighbors who traded me eggs for the finished product and for google so that I may find out what's wrong with either me or the recipe. It was the recipe. WHEW!
Angel food cake, ha yeah right.

The disaster in process.

Francey got this shot, he got one of my frustrated face, I am choosing to keep that one to myself.

Ahhh! The bright spot! There is a STRAWBERRY farm right outside the base gates! I can no longer eat berries from the store. I have been ruined by these sweet and perfectly ripe and CHEAP berries of goodness.
I had to take a picture of France in his bike stuff again. I love the mandatory reflection belt he has to wear. It makes me happy. :)
