summertime, summertime, sum...sum...summertime!

Here's a taste of our summer so far...

We went to my baby sister's graduation from college...no, that does not make me old...Congrats Lavita!

Caleb had his Kindergarten presentation. I seriously bawled the whole time...I'm blaming it on baby hormones! I can't believe he's growing up so fast!
Father's & Son's outing...notice the breakfast of champions? Caleb talks about this camping trip all year every year...Hurray for Dad!
This was bike to school day the week before summer...since then there have been many bike rides around the neighborhood...one of our favorite family outings!
My kids make Aaron take a picture of them on this rock every time they bike or walk by...we get quite the poses. I wish I could do that one that Caleb's sporting!
And here's Mayzie on said bike rides and family walks...
We took the kids to the lava caves at the beginning of the summer with some of their cousins. They did great! And loved it!
I just have to show off my bright spot of every single day. This little girl is such a joy! Seriously I could just play with her all day...Love of my life!

Our family's summertime project is our back yard. This is me trying to clean up our trees :).
Adalyn has her own independent way of keeping herself busy. Whether its rock climbing, riding her bike in the cul-de-sac, or playing with her barbies, its very entertaining to watch and listen to. Her vocabulary is awesome too! The other day she told me I was adorable because she was mad at me. I should write down a dictionary of her definitions.
Here's father's day breakfast in bed...
And here's a typical morning!

 Happy summer to all!

little mayzie anne

Adored, mauled, and loved by all...

Baby Mayzie came to join our family in all its crazy glory Sunday morning at 3:40 a.m. She was 7 lbs. 4 oz., 20 inches long, and completely adorable. Although we did have to pull an all-nighter Saturday night, I got my epidural so I was absolutely thrilled (the last two,  I very unwillingly did natural), and Aaron got out of his first High Council speaking assignment (he was just called to the high council 3 weeks ago), and the kids got to wake up with grandma unexpectedly sleeping at our house, so it was like Christmas all the way around! And the best part is of course this little cutie!

This is one of the rare moments when she actually isn't being held!
All of my other kids are enthralled...they can't get enough of her. Apparently, they are also excited to have mom back to normal (which hasn't happened yet)...because Caleb in his prayers last night prayed that "Mom's tummy can go downer".

Happy New Year!!

We celebrated in style this year! Actually, Aaron and I went out to eat with a group of friends while the kids stayed at home and watched a movie, which worked out well, since we had one kid feeling pukey. When we got home, we did have fun though! We made fruit pizza, created a time capsule for next year, and brought in the new year with New York (yes, it was only 10:00 here) complete with soda cheers, kids happy new years wishes, lots of hugs and kisses, and confetti poppers!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!

By the way... in case anyone was wondering why I've dropped off of the face of the blogging universe, this is a picture of Adalyn kissing her baby sister...who will come to join us within the next two months. Yep! That's my belly! We are excited to have another little one!
I hopefully will go back and hit the highlights of the past 6 months, but I've learned better than to have too high of expectations... we will see!
