Where is Garfield

Just thought I would share. I guess he thinks he is a bird not sure but he may have been chacing one up the tree. I went outside and I could hear him meowing I thought maybe he was on the other side of the fence and couldn't get over, I looked around and then heard something above me and he was out on the skinniest limb that there is. It was fun coaxing him back to the trunk of the tree so I could get him. He is a funny cat! :)

Happy Birthday Brittany

Happy Birthday Brittany, I love this picture of you, I loved this little outfit and wish I knew what happened to it. We your family wish ti WISH you a Happy Birthday and hope that you day is great.

A little about Brittany and I say alittle because I could probably make a book out of her little life when she was young. She was a very active little one. Never knew what mischief she was going to get into. She would make sure you were watching if she decided to do something that she knew she wasn't suppose to do. One story that her Grandma Fowlks loves to tell is a day that she was watching her and there was a wedding present that was wrapped and ready to go. Well Brittany wanted so badly to open it and she had been told many times to leave it along and not touch. Well she just couldn't stand it and she decided to open it anyway. When Grandma discovered that she opened it, she spatted her on her behind and with that Brittany put her little hands on her hips and told Grandma with no uncertain terms that "Grandma's don't spank Brittany's" well what could you say to that? One that I remember vividly is a time when I was very busy doing what mom's do, and Brittany had gotten in Ron's drawer in the back under clothes and pulled out his hunting knife and went down stairs to her bedroom. Well as always when it was quiet and I couldn't see Brittany I went looking for her. Her door was locked. I told her to unlock the door and when I open the door she was holding the knife in one hand and holding her other hand out with her finger pointing and blood dripping with the most shocked look on her face she looked at me and said, " It cut me" the nerve of that knife. Needless to say we moved the knife to a more secure place. She was about Raylie's age (3) oh I could go on and on let see oh the other one that is great is one day she was acting up and I had had all I could take and I took her aside and talked to her alittle about how Jesus would want her to act and that she was not making Him very happy today. And my great question to her "Brittany do you want to follow Jesus or do you want to follow Satan? Brittany's response " SATAN" well lesson learned on mom's part I did not ask that question again ever!
Well as we all know Brittany has turned out to be a beautiful and wonderful Mom of her own and because of her mothers curse upon her she has a cute little one just like her!!!!!
We love you Brittany and wish you a Happy Birthday.

A fun Weekend

Des and her family came down to So. UT for the long weekend. It was great having them here. Des found this fun craft, she purchased all we needed. We had a fun craft session on Sat. They are picture holders. It was fun beging together. After the craft we went to a movie (The lightening Theif) it was alright but then I haven"t read the book, those who have read the book did not like it at all. We watched the Olympics and had a great time together. Sunday attened church, then Des was singing for Sharise's Lesson in her College ward and so her and I attended RS there. Later that night we had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Great and Ross and Shelli, Baylie and Jayce. We had a great time visiting with them. Thanks for the visit guys we always love to have family visit when they are here in So. UT.
Mon. Des' family left early as to get Josh to a birthday party that afternoon. I met Grandma Great, Shelli, Baylie and Jayce for lunch at Red Robin. We had another great visit. Great weekend with family. Love it.!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Danette

Happy Birthday Danette, love this picture of you! It was so fun having you here in Nov. and Dec. and to get to know your two little cuties. I know as we become mom's birthdays are not what they were when we were young. But just know that you are thought of and loved very much by us. (mom and dad) You are a great daughter, wife, mother and every other role that you are in. We love you and wish you a very Happy Birthday.
Now alittle about Danette, she was the one that decided to come very early in the morning. Just after midnight, and I waited a little to long to get to the hospital so no time to give me anything for the pain of labor. I had her all naturelle. Can say that I didn't like that much. But had an adorable baby. She was walking at 10 months she was not in a hurry like my other ones who walked at 8 and 9 months. But that is our Danette, not in a hurry. She was one of two that had two sets of stitches I am still trying to figure that one out because she was not real active and both where on her head. She was my one to totally entertain herself and loved just being alone in her room. I always teased that if I was going to ever ground her I would have to ground her by making her leave the house and go play with her friends. She was very content to be home and in her room doing what ever. Until of coarse, she became a teenager and driving then she would spend time in St. George with her friends. She waited and married her missionary and has a cute but active little family. (Not sure how she got such active little kids, must be from Chads side) :) Love ya Danette!!

7 Months, I miss you dad !!!!!

Just been thinking of my dad today and thought I would post this picture, I MISS holding that hand. Not that I got to hold it to often in the past 25 years since living in Leeds, but when I was at his house I would always find it laying on the sheets of his bed or out in the green house with dirt under his nails. It seems that the tears are coming less and less and with time I know it will get much better. When I call home I do miss that grumbly voice on the other end asking how the kids are doing. Love ya Dad!
